    Bug in salad
    Rafael T.

Horrible customer service after calling to complain after a work shift that there was a bug in the salad and the pizza was burnt. This was after they took an hour to deliver the food to my job. Then the manager wouldn't give a refund nor a replacement.

My favorite thing to eat at Brothers Pizza is the steak and cheese calzone. After writing this review I'm about to order it for dinner :)

So I had a second lunch (two slices from a whole pie that I'll finish another day). -- Pepperoni Pizza: I've come to expect high-quality and that's what I got. Lightly charred crust with a fairly firm base, neither done to an extreme. Unexpected was a bit of sourness to the cheese, which was actually a plus, adding complexity. Robust tomato sauce is there in greater supply than most, and I like that. Pepperoni isn't as thick as Tree House, but it's noticeably thicker than most, and much more flavorful. If there's a weakness to this pizza, it's that the crust is more of a vessel (though a well-cooked one) than flavor provider, but it delivers structure. There's more than enough flavor everywhere else. -- Chocolate Chip Cookie: I always covet them but today I took the plunge. I expected good, but not necessarily great beyond pizza cookie standards. It's fairly thin, very bendy, and very moist, with so much chocolate that I feared it would detract from the dough. Not the case: despite a slight resemblance to supermarket bakery cookies, this dough emphasized butter, not sugar. And a fabulous butter at that (probably brown butter), bringing a darker flavor with nutty hints of caramel. Salt crystals on top are cliché nowadays, but restraint ensured they'd enhance, not distract. The flavor got better with every bite. Excellent cookie that would put many full fledged bakeries to shame. Back to the pizza: If you're not into the tomato, the char, or the lack of seating (2 booths), this place might not be for you. But I'm all for the first two and don't mind gambling on seating, because tailgating is always a worthy last resort for pizza this good.

I've gotten pizza from here twice and both times the crust was overdone, even burnt in some spots. I ordered via the Toast app and there is the option to ask for a lighter bake which I wish I had done. Both times I ordered a pizza with pepperoni and mushroom with garlic bread crust which was about $30 after tax and tip. The pizza is large but still on the pricey side. The garlic bread crust seemed like it was just garlic powder seasoning so it doesn't add much flavor. However I appreciate that they are generous with the toppings and aside from the crust, everything else was good. The location is a pain to get in and out of because the parking lot is small and it's located on a busy spot on 114 next to Stop and Shop.

OK this is very weird.....out of all the times I've stopped in here on my way to my bestie's house…read morein Lancaster or on the way back to my Mom's house in NH to grab some of their tasty pizza I've never written a review?!?!?!?!? But I have one for the bakery that is connected to this joint. Hum.....unless someone deleted it which would be odd because all I have to say about this place is great things!! I first learned of this pizza joint about 30 yrs ago when I attended NECO for my nursing degree & one of my classmates suggested coming her for pizza. I feel that their prices are very reasonable. It doesn't take long for them to freshly cook up a few slices of pizza so while my slices are cooking I got into the bakery to view their stuff & end up buying some treats for myself, family & friends. ' Now there are a few Tripoli locations thru out MA but out of the other 2 I've been too this one is THE BEST!! It hasn't tasted the same @ the other locations. One is in Salisbury & I can't remember the other town I grabbed some from as it was a couple of years ago. If you want extra cheese & prefer "shredded mozzarella" make sure to specify that because one time I asked for extra cheese & the cook put round slices of mozzarella on my slices. I was already in my car & had driven off when I noticed this. It had never happened to me before so after that when I ask for extra cheese I specify the shredded. Their pizza sauce has a light sweet taste to it that I think makes the pizza taste the way that it does. I usually get extra cheese slices & extra cheese with pepperoni slices. They use to have a big plastic container in the corner on their counter where you can sit to eat your pizza that took donations of soda can tabs for Shriner's. I've been saving them for years for other friend's but that stopped due to one moving away & one passing away and its such a habit when I drink something with a tab on it I'm taking it off and saving it. I went in yesterday with a big zip lock baggie full of tabs to donate them & that jar wasn't on the counter!! Yikes!! So I asked the guy behind the pizza counter & he told me that they still take them but he didn't tell me the reason why they don't have the plastic container on the container for them anymore. Just be aware of their hours as I believe that they are closed on Monday's & they don't share the same store hours as the bakery. Also there are NO bathrooms in here & they don't serve drinks but there is a soda vending machine that you can buy drinks from. Also this place isn't good for big groups to dine in as their seating area isn't very big. You MUST stop by here & check them out!!

The parking lot is a good size and if I remember correctly, the lot is locked up when the business is closed. The bakery has so much to offer. Fresh baked breads in the morning, pizza strips and other 'bread' foods. Cookies, lots of cakes, pastries of all sorts. Definitely find something you like. We visited during the holiday and there were so many holiday sweet treats. Trays and trays. I took home some cannoli, a sfogliatelle, and cookies. The cannoli were tasty and fresh. We enjoyed these. The sfogliatelle did not seem fresh - the pastry was hard and no longer flaky and the cream inside was dried out. Won't try that one again soon. Too bad really, I do like this pastry when fresh. The cookies were just OK for me. I do a lot of baking and these did not taste fresh made. I understand bakeries have a thin profit margin and you are always having to guess what will sell. No disrespect to the business. They offer a wide variety of cakes and sweets and I only tried a small sampling. I love these old neighborhood businesses that have been around 'forever'. We know people who stop here about once a month and rave about them. I'll try them again and keep my fingers crossed.

Kim's Pizza & Subs - The store front in 2016. In need of revamping! But it still is one of the last decent places left from my childhood of the 1980s and 1990s!

So glad we found it as I was surprised to find they have several flavors , many I never could've imagined to be slush flavors. This place is not sparkly, neat, or new by any means. Run by sweet and kind owners Kim and John. For slush flavors, we tried cherry, rainbow(not a flavor I know), passion fruit, and mango. The slush is sooooooo smooth. The flavors are on point, they taste like the natural flavors if that makes sense, not artificial tasting. My kids loved it, they are used to Richie's, but agreed this was better. The adults loved it too, we will definitely be going back tomorrow to work out way through some more flavors, there really are so many new slushes to try. I also love that they have a wide range of sizes, all reasonably priced. They also have sugar free flavors and sell prepackaged character ice creams(type you would find on an ice cream truck). We ordered a steak sub with peppers and onions, I can't have cheese anymore so was hesitant to order one, but am glad to say it was good. It was made to order and only took a matter of minutes. Would definitely get it again, also priced well. I can't wait to try the teriyaki subs. They have some jars with 10 cent candy and fortune cookies. Sell random things like nic nacs, snow globes, stuffed animal etc throughout at dirt cheap prices. Definitely stop by , try something, support small businesses. Parking is on Street and a hit or miss .

The place seems a bit cramped which has a takeout counter with overhead menu boards and couple booths for eating in. The glass cooler display case as some colorful Dora The Explorer and Sponge Bob decor on top. The menu offerings include pizza (by the slice or whole pie), hot & cold subs, steak subs, fried foods, meat and lamb pies, spinach pies, snacks, cold drinks, chilled candy bars ($1), ice cream bars, and Armando's Italian Ice Slush (over 40 flavors including sugar free flavors). The teaberry, passion fruit, birch beer, & blue Hawaiian sound interesting). They also have gumball dispensers too. The prices here are fair, most small & large subs ($4.60-$7.00) and ice cream bars $1-$2. Specials are also offered including Buy One Get One Free Meatball Subs on my visits. The food has been consistent. The pizza slice is good, if you happen to enjoy a thick soft and firm crust and topped with ample sauce and melted cheese (clumps). The pizza slice (though not rectangular) sort of reminds me of Ellio's Pizza which I really enjoyed as a youngin'. The steak & cheese sub is good, which is grilled to order using shaved steak, melted American cheese, on a crusty sub roll. The rib sub is similar to having the Mc Rib. The service here is good and laid back. I'll have to try the steak teriyaki sub on the next visit. Note: No sampling here. Street parking can get a bit tight out front, especially being located next door to China Star II and Oscar Liquors across the street. 3.4 stars
