I had my house exterior and dining room painted (after removing old wall paper) done by Raffi and 2 helpers. He has a good work ethics, skills, experiences, efficiency and pride of what he did. He was willing to do extra works and corrected things that I didn't like (I'm a picky, choosy, critical one). He always looks serious but has a warm smile and kind heart. He was in control and kept working to get the job done with details. He gave some suggestions to help me make a good decision eg: changed rotten wood for outdoor stairs, repaired 2 yard doors with bondo filler, patched holes on the walls and did touch up on some peeling paints. Despite being incredibly busy and having several full jobs to complete before the holidays, the owner made time on a Sunday to stop by to at least assess the situation and provide a quote. I had Brother's Painting come to my house and complete a paint and stucco job. They came out and repaired a bunch of cracked stucco areas on my house. They also painted my whole house, including all the trim and surfaces. This included the fascia boards and eaves. They also painted my front door. Raffi and his crew did a lot of work on this job. We found Brother's Painting through Angie's List because they had posted a featured deal. Three Rooms for $450 (originally $1100) (500sqft or less). We were only doing two bedrooms and a bathroom and measured it out to be 350sqft, perfect! So we buy the deal and wait for Raffi to call. He calls after 9pm, and arranges to look at our space the next day at noon. The next day we wait and wait, at 12:30 he calls and says he is running late and shows up at 1:30pm. The next morning Raffi and his brother show up to paint promptly at 8am - that punctuality was greatly appreciated. First, they do no adequately protect the carpeting and the space they are painting. Halfway through the job, Raffi approaches my husband and I and says "I just wanted to tell you that you are wrong. It is more than 350sqft. It is closer to 700." We were confused and he further explains that you take the square footage and multiply it by two, because as he said "I am not painting your floors I am painting your walls!" Understood, however every estimate we had received was based on square footage as you would normally measure in your house. So with his form of measurement, that means he normally charges $1,100 for 250sqft of house space? That's absolutely unheard of! So of course, we felt like the deal was misleading and he was being rude. Once they left we looked over the rooms they had painted. The first room, it is clear there was only one coat used as we see white areas throughout. We found spots of the bright blue paint on the carpet and drops of the same blue paint on our new white wood blinds. In the second bedroom the windows are coated in tiny spray drops of paint which I will have to individually scratch off. And in the bathroom, there were paint drops on the countertops and mirror. As well as the fact that they had been using our master bathroom all day and left the toilet seat up. In addition there is a blue ring around the drain of our sinks because they were washing their brushes out in the bathroom sink! We took out the plug and it's coated in the paint. The work ethic was simply sloppy. The paint job was, good enough. Between the attitude Raffi gave us, the misleading ad, and the mess they left behind for me to clean, we were left with a generally bad taste in our mouth. read more

Raffi is an amazing professional painter. This man is born with an amazing talent. He can paint without dripping paint anywhere, and he paints a straight line without blue tape. He prevents any mess by always protecting the floors and he is very responsible and honest. If in doubt of what colors to choose from, he will provide professional advice. We have had Raffi and his group to do fairly extensive painting on our older house on two occasions. When we moved in we completely changed the interior color scheme. Within a year we asked him to come back for some exterior painting and stucco repair. Both of these jobs were performed professionally, on time, and with attention to detail. We only needed a small room (nursery-to-be) re-sanded, spackled, primed and painted, and so Raffi handled it himself.
