I was in town and desperately needed a pedicure. I chose Nails Today because of their great…read morereviews. I called and made an appointment for the next day with no problem. When I arrived, the salon was empty save for the married owners, Vincent and Rose. I was immediately a little worried because the salon looked really old and not well-maintained. I went to go find a polish color from one of the couple of different spots they keep the polish and was disheartened to see that they were kept in total disarray-- different brands all mixed together and no attempt to color block them. But the worst discovery was that all the polishes looked really old and most were 1/2 to 3/4 empty. I opened a few and they looked sticky and old, which I knew would make for a bad pedicure. I finally found a nearly full bottle in a color I was okay with albeit in a brand I don't normally use (because all the OPI and Essies were nearly empty) and brought that over to Vincent. I was excited to discover that the chair I would be sitting in was a massage chair with a remote that I was able to control. That was a nice perk-- to be able to get a full neck, shoulder and back massage while getting my pedicure. As for cleanliness, I didn't notice if the tools Vincent was using had been sterilized, but at one point, he dropped the top coat brush and searched for it on the floor for a long time before finally giving up and getting a different one which I was happy about because I was afraid he was going to pick it up off the ground and continue using it. Vincent massaged my feet and calves longer than a lot of salons to (a few minutes versus ten seconds like some) although I found his pressure to be a little painful. While he was polishing my nails, I noticed he forgot to do a second coat on one of the nails which I thought was weird. I pointed it out though and chalked it up. As he was polishing me toenails, he kept using his own fingernail to dig into my skin to wipe off excess polish. His own nail looked like there was dirt under it so I wasn't too thrilled about that and knew it wasn't hygenic. The real trouble came after I left the salon and went home and got a closer look at the pedicure. There was still polish all over my skin. I have literally never had that happen before at a salon. Plus, my pinkie toenail was only half painted! Literally the entire tip was left unpainted which was crazy-- again, have never had that happen before. Also, he had cut down my nails and upon closer inspection, I realized they had been cut unevenly and weren't a uniform length. They also had sharp edges. So I ended up having to clean all the excess polish and then file some of the nails to even out the jagged parts. Within a couple of days, the pedicure started chipping and looked terrible. I'm used to my pedicures looking great for 3-4 weeks so to have it start chipping after a couple of days was a total bummer. I also noticed that my cuticles were already coming back so I don't think much cuticle work was done either. I was honestly so embarrassed to be walking around with such a janky looking pedicure that I ended up filing my nails to even out the lengths and then completely painting over Vincent's pedicure with a polish I had that was pretty close to the one he had used. I also went in and trimmed my cuticles. So basically, once I had completely redone the pedicure, it finally looked presentable. I have waited a month to write this review because I feel bad because Vincent and Rose were really incredibly sweet people and they have owned that salon for decades. But given how glowing the reviews were-- which is what drew me to the salon-- I felt I had to leave feedback on my frustrating experience. I have no idea if Vincent's eyesight is not what it used to be, or if it was his last appointment of the day and he was just tired and didn't give it his all, or if pedicures just aren't his strong suit. But it was incredibly disheartening to go to a salon to get a pedicure that I then had to completely redo to make it look good.

They fail to meet my expectations, and when I try to explain the issue to the owner, they shift the blame onto me. To make matters worse, they don't attempt to resolve the problem or offer any accommodations. I'm forced to pay for subpar service, and now I'll have to pay again to have the acrylics removed, which will likely damage my nails. The only reason I initially chose this salon was its convenient location, but I won't be returning due to the poor service.
