I spent my evening at brothers fish and chips with my cousin. I am very satisfied with the seafood. I was offered many different seafood dishes to try and they all sounded so appetizing. The place is very pretty on the inside and gives off a luxurious feel to it. I had the pleasure of being served by George, he was very attentive and very educated when it comes to the menu, drinks, and the food itself, he provided such great service that I will be coming more often.

Amazing seafood restaurant, working with seasonal and local fished fishes. The flounder was cooked perfectly and served with seasonal vegetables. Nothing fancy or extra, just perfectly and simply cooked food. The waitress was kind and friendly. It was affordable for that high quality food I recommend and will go again to try more

To go location review: Best fish and chips outside of London. Yep I said it! This spot has been on my list but I underestimated how good it would be. I ordered the fish tacos and a side of coleslaw. The fish was super fresh and crispy. Topped with slaw and a mango pico. The blue corn tortilla was a nice touch. So much tastier than corn or flour! My one down side was the slaw on the taco was a little wet, so if you didn't eat fast enough it made for a soggy tortilla. The staff was nice, but 0 urgency in making our order. We waited close to 30 minutes for 2 tacos. Mind you there was only one other person there at the time we arrived. The outside is unsuspecting and doesn't give the general appear of a great spot, but don't be fooled! If you are in the market for some quality food definitely your spot!

Wow this restaurant didn't miss on a single element! I thought it was a nice touch when they added flowers on everything - made for a nice presentation. The crab tostones had some really fresh crab meat. It went well with the fried plantains and surprisingly had a great depth of flavor. The fish and chips were life changing. I didn't know it could be cooked so well like this. The fish was flaky and light, almost buttery. The breading was thin and crispy. You can pick cod or bass, and I chose cod. The tartar sauce and coleslaw were also both excellent! They gave us a free orange creme brulee on the house and it had just the right amount of citrusy orange flavor! Very cool dish, and was served in an orange peel with toasted brown sugar beneath. The ambiance was a little odd because they were playing some slightly loud remixed pop music and had a light strip under the bar which was odd because the restaurant is quite upscale. But I thoroughly enjoyed the food here!

Was underwhelming to say the least I ordered the fish and chips the bass I got grilled fish I'm not sure if I read it wrong or what the tacos my boyfriend had were good and the fish I was looking for . The sake serving was small and the gratuity was included in the bill. After delivering the check our waitress informed us ...perhaps that's why she wasn't over zealous in attending us. I tried to make conversation in Spanish which she ignored. When we left was the only real time we were really thanked or acknowledged. For 100 we left hungry kinda sad to say .

Another great dinner here. Always the best ingredients and creative dishes. Menu is small and prices are very high expensive. But the details and the quality of the dishes make up for it.

It was amazing. The drinks were great and the food was exceptionally good. I'd definitely recommend this place. The tostones with crab are to die for.

It's been two hours since we ate here, and we're still shaking our heads saying, "man, what WAS that?!?" It was that good! This spot is celebrating 14 years in business for a reason. Awe-inspiring food is made in this little restaurant nestled beside a nail salon and parking lot. Everything tastes nothing like you've had before. From the lobster in a squid-ink sponge cake, to the coleslaw on the fish tacos, to the lightness of the fried fish, to the pillowy tres leches - it's just nonstop hits. And it's not one of those pretentious places where things look artsy and prices are high and there's no flavor. No! The food here is so inventive and delicious and fresh. Cannot wait to come back and try their take-out business next door - their fish sandwiches, calamari and more. They even have adorable outdoor seating. Hats off to the insanely-talented chef Elmer and his team, and our server Guan who was so kind and so helpful to us - he gave us the best recommendations the whole night. See you again soon. 5 stars!!!!

We did the tasting at Brothers Fish & Chips last night and it was phenomenal. Chef Elmer served us himself and explained each course. 2.5 hours and 9 courses later we were so satisfied and feeling awed by the creativity of the meal. My husband who "doesn't even really like seafood" was floored, the Tuna Mole dish legit almost made him cry. Upon sitting we were offered a glass of cava but opted for NA beers. Then the plates began! 1. White fish coconut milk ceviche with fried raspberry oyster 2. Scallops with coconut truffle emulsion, sepia caviar and cilantro flower 3. Octopus duck fat, saffron rice flavored with shrimp chimichurri garlic jalapeño aioli 4. Pink langostino, beans American sturgeon caviar flour tortilla tostada Palate cleanser non alcoholic smoked hickory blueberry blackberry lime and rosemary 5. Tuna steak mole mushroom shishito pepper peas and lemon foam 6. Bronzino with carrot, beet, garlic, cilantro and coconut emulsions topped with french radish Pour over Ecuadorian coffee 7. Coconut orange flan 8. Orange pineapple blueberry cake 9. Smoked Chocolate cake with chamomile and strawberry foam https://brothersfishandchips.com/

My husband ordered a Bloody Mary, which came topped with two grilled shrimp -- buttery, nicely seasoned, and perfectly cooked. He really enjoyed it. I went with an Aperol Spritz, which was light, crisp, and refreshing. For an appetizer, we shared the steamed clams in a red pepper and bacon broth. The clams were meaty and flavorful, and the broth was so delicious we soaked it up with their homemade bread, fresh from the oven. Our server was friendly, efficient, and offered great suggestions. My husband wanted fish and chips, but instead of the full platter, he asked if he could have it on a roll. The waiter suggested turning it into a po' boy, and it was a fantastic idea! He even asked if my husband wanted it a little spicy -- he said yes -- and the result was an enormous, perfectly fried sandwich. The fish was crispy on the outside, flaky inside, and not heavy at all. I had a few bites and was impressed. It came with crispy, golden fries that were excellent. I was there for what I believed would've my last lobster roll this year. I meant to order the cold lobster roll but accidentally ordered the warm one -- and I'm glad I did! It was absolutely delicious, with whole pieces of claw and knuckle meat (nothing shredded), just tossed in a tarragon aioli and served on a toasted bun with the same crispy fries. The outdoor patio has about 10 tables, covered for shade, and the indoor area is bright, nicely air-conditioned, with a bar area featuring high-top booths and another section with regular tables. Overall, the food, service, and setting were all wonderful. I'll definitely be back -- next time to try that cold lobster roll! On site free parking is another plus.

The pics, reviews, and menu all seemed to point towards a yes - so off we went. Freddy's is located within the main commercial hub of Pleasantville. It's not a large restaurant, but holds a decent amount of seating with tasteful and laid-back decor. We were there right at opening at 4:30p, so it wasn't crowded but started filling up as time progressed. The menu is mostly American - arranged by apps, salads, entrees, sides, and desserts. I decided to start with the burrata which was served with diced butternut squash, brown butter, and grilled bread. This was...not what I was expecting. Burrata usually comes as an intact sphere that you cut open to reveal the soft cheese inside. This was already broken, and served in an almost deconstructed way. It honestly looks like a way to cut corners as it was definitely not a whole burrata. That, and the lack of flavor do not make it worth the $17 they charge. My main was better - I ordered the smoked chicken which was a breast on the bone and came with grits, spinach, and honey au jus. This was tasty - the chicken was juicy with crispy skin, and the au jus added a welcome sweetness to the grits and spinach. We opted for dessert because birthday - I chose the carrot cake which was just okay. No nuts, raisins, or noticeable carrots - so, a spice cake? As a side note, we were there during HV Restaurant week, however in lieu of a dedicated menu they offered a prix fixe app/entree/dessert off their menu. It sounded great at face value, but then we were told the portions would be smaller - and for items they couldn't shrink they up-charged if we ordered off the regular menu. IMO, not the best way to do restaurant week - either have a dedicated menu for it or don't participate at all. That being said, we decided to order off the regular menu. Service was good, everyone was friendly and food came out at a good pace. Overall, Freddy's sent me mixed signals - the food wasn't bad, but this isn't a place I would go out of way to try again - it's more of a local spot in my perspective. If circumstances found me here again, though, I wouldn't be mad.

I personally love to dine at the bar when possible especially with a great bartender like Izzy. We were the first ones there by accident which can feel funny but Izzy was so warm and welcoming and very eager to meet us and tell us about the epic menu and the show stopping desserts. We told Izzy our drink preferences and he nailed it each drink. We started with a dozen oysters that were incredible and shocked perfectly. Then followed that with the bone marrow which had a tasteful amount of chimichurri sauce and a side of crunchy salt to use for your liking. It was delicious! We were temped to next get the octopus but needed room for the "bar only specials" which is a brilliant idea very unique. It was a wagu blend cheese burger with arugula and a delicious black garlic spread and perfectly cooked fries. Perfect for sharing! A dinner isn't complete without an espresso martini! I highly recommend this place to any food enthusiast and fan of wine, spirits and excellent desserts. Lastly the decor was also amazing. The chef's not only designs top notch desserts he also did the wood work art along the bar. I also loved the pictures of all the people in the back of the restaurant over the course of there decades of business. Lastly the history is incredible it use to be the village hall and jailhouse! They incorporated the jail into a wine cellar that seats two people for a fun drink before or after dinner. Highly give this place a 10 out of 10 for excellent food, drink, service and vibes! We went on Easter for brunch, which we decided to do last minute and they let us know they could squeeze us in. We sat on the screened in patio. They were massively busy, but the staff was on their toes, checking in, taking away empty plates, being very kind (even though they were clearly crazy with how busy they were). We started with the Brie stuff pretzels. They were more like pretzel sandwiches (pretzel sticks cut in half with Brie in between), but were really tasty. It was all so good, I kept forgetting to take pictures until after we had already dug in. The pretzel app came with 4 pretzel/brie sandwiches. We also got the spinach an artichoke dip. It came with a nice amount of chips (hate when they give you too few and then you're just left with gobs of dip and nothing for it). It also came with salsa and sour cream, which seemed odd, but was nice for the extra chips and also family friendly if the dip didn't appeal to kids. The dip itself was really nice, it didn't taste as rich as spinach and artichoke dips often are. I could really taste the spinach, but in a good way. Usually dips like that make me feel overly full and are so heavy, this was a refreshing take on it. We got the Dutch baby pancake, the kids Mac and cheese, the pimento cheese and ham omelet (which I got scrambled), chicken and waffles, and the hot honey chicken. Overall, the food was delicious. The flavors all had depth and were really satisfying. We came home with lots of leftovers and we were all very happy when the meal was done. We will definitely be going back.

You may hesitate when ordering, but not when eating. The undeniable centerpiece is the Bulleit Burger. It's rich, balanced, and memorable in a way that lingers beyond the meal.
