Mad Hatter is under new ownership, and it's even better than the great place it was before…read more It's obvious that new owner, Brandon Leblanc cares about his business: he's close by at the front desk to hear what his customers are saying; he personally responds; and he couldn't be more attentive and responsive to a need. I had a problem with my Volvo hatchback. It wouldn't close. That also means it wouldn't lock. With all of the car theft in our area, I felt vulnerable. The parking lot was full. The place was obviously busy. But, Brandon immediately walked me out to the parking space where my Volvo sat, examined the problem, popped the hinge thingy back in place, closed my hatch, and smiled like I had done him the favor. Well, Brandon, here is my repayment for your immediate and amazing help. THANK YOU VERY MUCH. We will continue to patronize your awesome auto repair shop and emissions certificate center. You rock! Blessings for your success. I have no doubt you will it.

I had gone to Mad Hatter in the past under the old management and it wasn't good. I decided to…read morebring my vehicle here one more time under the new management and I think they're worse. The customer service skills of the owner and the manager are greatly lacking. My husband and I dropped my vehicle off on a Tuesday afternoon before they closed. We already knew what needed to be repaired. We gave them all of the pertinent details. Wednesday morning, I receive a call from Heidi, the manager, telling me that my vehicle will be ready later on that day and gave me a quote. Wednesday afternoon rolls around and now my vehicle will not be ready until Friday and Heidi informs me that it will now cost about $150 more than originally quoted. Needless to say, this has now become an inconvenience. When asked what they can do for us to compensate for time lost with the vehicle, we were told by the owner, Josef (who would not give us his last name), that we can get a tow truck and tow it somewhere else. At this point not only are we inconvenienced but we're also getting angry. Josef also told us that they only purchase parts from one place and that they will not order anything online. (We had done the research and had found the part online.) We told them to just fix the vehicle. A few moments later Josef calls back stating that he will knock off $100 from our final bill. We said thank you and please proceed with the repairs. Now it's Thursday and to our surprise we receive a call from Heidi stating that the vehicle is ready for pickup, and that Josef would like to speak to us. The first thing Josef says when he gets on the phone is "Are you happy now?"!! My husband said yes and bit his tongue. When we went to pick it up, the first thing Heidi said to me was how rude my husband had been on the phone! Now it was my turn to bite my tongue. I have worked in customer service for most of my life and I have never experienced such rudeness on the part of multiple staff members let alone an owner. Mad Hatter will not have to worry about my husband's or my shadow darkening their door ever again.

Before taking my car to get serviced I was impressed with how pleasant Mike was on the phone when making an appointment. He had a very upbeat and non-intimidating personality which I have found at other shops I have been to. He was also honest about the shops schedule and didn't try to cram/overbook to get my work scheduled. I took my car in because it was making a humming noise that I suspected was a wheel bearing, but wanted an expert to verify. The wheel bearing was the culprit and they replaced it at a very reasonable cost. They also communicated proactively along the way to let me know diagnosis, cost, and when the car was ready. Before I went to Mike's shop, the dealership told me the humming was being caused by 3 wheel bearings and a viscous coupling and that it would be $4,800 to repair. Since my car had only 70,000 miles on it, I found it hard to believe that parts of the drivetrain were already needing to be replaced, so I wanted to get another opinion. The replacement of 1 wheel bearing on the left side completely fixed the noise I was hearing. Happy to have found a place I can trust so close to home. Will be returning and referring friends and family.

On top, they replaced a side marker light that had recently burnt out and topped off my antifreeze after a cold spell. You just do not find service like that anymore. If I need repairs or maintenance I know where I am going.
