Turkey sausage eggs and potatoes

Food was really good. Good portion size and prices are reasonable. Service was great and the ambiance feels homey. Definitely I'll be coming back next time I'm in Memphis.

FIRST time visiting Memphis and first time visiting this establishment. The food, service and atmosphere is phenomenal!! The menu has a vast array of breakfast food and drinks choices. It took several minutes to narrow down our selections to what we wanted the most. We had the cheesy egg scramble with peppers, onions, potatoes and home fries and cheesy grits and biscuits. Every bite was pure bliss. We even ordered two cinnamon rolls to go. The place was very busy and there was about a 45-minute wait, but after the meal we understood why. Don't miss out on this family-owned gem!!

I have never had anything but an exceptional experience here. I love it all. Great ambiance. Great service. Friendly staff. Exceptional food. I love the decor. I love the theme. I love the mismatched coffee cups. Large menu. Everything is great. They make most things fresh, in house. They have their own maple syrup, hot sauce, bread.... The only drawbacks are that it can be a little cramped and a little loud. I do not like cramped nor loud but it's not enough to keep me away from here.

Very good breakfast place located on (right next to???) and he U of M campus. It's no great secret how good the place is so you're most likely gonna have some amount of wait, whether it's waiting for a table to open or just them working through the queue (that was the wordle the other day) of people also heading in for some tasty breakfast. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable and happy to answer questions. The restaurant itself is made up of like 2nor 3 different rooms of tables. The bathrooms are (well the men's room anyway I can't speak to the ladies room) is a weird set up. I can't describe it but it does lend itself to logjams! Oh man bad comparison I didn't mean it like that. Food is excellent. Very very good! I had steak Benedict and grits. Other items ordered at our table were a chorizo burrito, pancakes, and a potato bowl. They have a couple different house branded hot sauces on the table and also their own branded syrup. They have a fun mix of coffee cups, everyone gets a different one. As it's mid December they've got the Christmas ones out.

Small, unfancy place. Great breakfast menu, sort of better than average standard. I had a bacon egg & cheese biscuit and loaded breakfast potatoes. All very good. Also had a juniper latte, which was basically a caramel latte with whipped cream and syrup swirl. Very tasty but it could have been hotter. I personally would request an extra shot of espresso next time. My friend ordered a plate of scrambled eggs, bacon. Potatoes, and French toast. All good. She ordered a cinnamon latte which was also very good. Good amount of good, good tasting, reasonable prices. What more can you ask for? I'd recommend this place.

Nice coffee machine and chill environment.

Brunch without all the hassle. Just a 32 minute wait after we arrived and joined the wait list. Great customer service in a busy environment. Nice food portions and fresh hot items. Family friendly and great for groups of 4-6 people. Note: Alot of people ordered the coffee and pancakes. I'm not a coffee drinker but the lattes seemed good. I will definitely grab a pancake next time.

Brother Junipers is a well oiled machine. Expect a wait, especially on the weekends, but the service is fast & friendly. The food is cooked to order & always right. This time, I forgot to tell my waitress I wanted cheese grits so I was disappointed when my food arrived and they were plain... to my surprise, even the standard grits are great! (But the cheese grits are phenomenal). Not to mention, my entire meal was right at $20. You can't beat the price, the service, or the food quality here

We were moving my son to Mud Island to start medical school and this is the place everyone told us we had to go try! It did not disappoint! Very vintage, homey, and welcoming. Everybody very nice, accommodating, and attentive.... All the food was great, the potatoes hit it out of the park! First class ticket to Flavortown! If you are a buttermilk biscuit aficionado, you will be happy... Great smoky bacon that was crispy without ordering it crispy..... Even though we ordered full breakfasts, we wanted to try the pancake. As expected, because it was eight dollars for a single pancake, it was as big as the plate. Again, super flavorful, similar to Cracker Barrel... I love that they are fully cooked too.. see the photo... Overall, a great experience and we will return each time we visit my son ...

My husband and I came here after the place we planned to go to wasn't accepting debit cards that morning. Best unexpected detour because this place was so good! It's a bit packed and was very busy when we went, but we were seated right away. Our food came out fast, our lattes finally came out after our food. The latte was okay. Nothing special. The omelette was very cheesy. Good flavor. The cinnamon roll pancake was huge and delicious! Really didn't even need syrup on it. I personally wasn't a fan of the cheese grits. So much cheese in them. We will definitely be back!

For me, this was a fine breakfast place, but it wasn't anything special. I had the omelette which was good, not mind-blowing. My husband got the chorizo burrito and was very disappointed that it had about 2 oz of meat and was mostly made of cheese and sour cream. My favorite part of the meal was the crispy and well-seasoned home fries. I also enjoyed the iced latte that I got! The service was good and the ambiance was cozy. If I lived closer, this might be a convenient breakfast spot, but it didn't excite me.

Breakfast food. Omelette, grits, biscuit and pancake.

The food was ok. Was expecting more with the pancakes but they were thick like a regular pancake with cinnamon cream on top. The food was ok. The flies int he window Mande it impossible to enjoy our breakfast. We did get to keep the cups. Atmospheres too congested but we did get a patio seat.

Florentine with cheese grits and a biscuit
Courtney P.

Before hitting the road and heading out of Memphis for a day trip, we made our way to Brother Juniper's for breakfast. Located near the University of Memphis, this is definitely a staple breakfast spot. To start, I ordered the juniper latte with oat milk. It was subtly sweet and the perfect amount of caffeine. For my order, I ordered the Florentine, which was an open faced omelette with a side of cheese grits. The omelette was fresh and flavorful and absolutely filling! The cheese grits were creamy and decadent. And the biscuit was buttery, flaky perfection. Both my father and my husband enjoyed their respective dishes - biscuits and gravy and a spicy open faced omelette whose name I now forget.

We came in on a Saturday around 5:30 PM, and there was live music playing at the piano, which added such a nice touch to the atmosphere. Football games were on the TVs, drinks were flowing, and the overall vibe was perfect for a Saturday evening. Service was great! Our waitress came over right away with waters and took our cocktail orders. We went with a Lemon Drop and a French 75, and both were delicious! We decided to keep it simple and order a few appetizers--the No Filler Crab Cakes and the crab claws, half fried and half grilled. Everything was SO good! When they say "no filler" on the crab cake, they mean it. It was ALL crab, and the crab claws are always a favorite. Great food, great drinks, great service, and a great atmosphere. We'll definitely be back again!

Another amazing breakfast experience at Bryant's for the Ladies of Carolina Double Dutch Therapy!…read more We visited for the 1st time last year during our Annual Double Dutch Beale Street Takeover in Memphis, and it was so good that while planning this year's trip (4/30/26 - 5/3/26), we made sure Bryant's was added to our itinerary again. I'm happy to say the food quality, portion sizes, and customer service were just as amazing as we remembered. Everything was consistent, flavorful, and worth the return visit -- definitely another one for the books! What made the experience even more special was having the same two waitresses from last year, and they actually remembered us. That level of attentiveness and personal connection says a lot about the care they put into their customers and service. Keep up the amazing work! We will absolutely be back again. I don't think people really would mind paying a little bit more to be healthy, the money they would save not going to the doctor or having a heart attacks and paying hospital bills would be a blessing, why can't they make french fries with beef tallow, the only reason it's expensive is because it's healthy, isn't it time this game ends, I mean really we're in our end times everybody's going nuts on the planet, everybody is being told to divide and go against each other, but then when you listen to mainstream media, and politicians in Washington, that's what happens. Why can't you just eat healthy, I'm going to live as healthy as I can as well as my family and most of all my friends, everyone I know stop eating it places like this because of the bad food ingredients, everyone I know now even my family eat organic foods, grass-fed beef, real sugar, the point is if it's natural it's good for you if it's not, it fights you like a serious bad enemy.
