Ordered via UberEats cause it was a lazy day which turned into a lazy night. So decided to order a few items so it wouid serve dinner and tomorows lunch.
What made me decide on this kitchen was the introduction basically stating it's a recipe from home aka homemade. It just made me feel like a comforting dish made with love.
The menu is very small. Maybe under 20 selections which includes appetizers, noodle soup bowls, a grill bowl and a few other dishes. Sadly, No beverages on menu.
Ordered 3 items of a "authentic beef (bo) pho bowl", "authentic chicKen (ga) pho bowl" and crispy egg-rolls with a chicKen filling.
The beef bowl had a nice, not salty, not overly spiced with cinnamon, all spice, or cloves. Although these spices are a component of pho broth, some places can add just too much. So I appreciate broths that are light. I did feel a bit of umami like a taste of shank marrow or brisket fat in the broth. Don't know for sure if those were in the broth making process, but it tasted flavorful. The pho noodles were a bit thinner, imho, which I prefer. Meat selection was a bit limiting so I ordered the 2 meats of meatballs and raw steak, which was 4 halved meatballs and 10 slices of raw steaks.
The pho ga (chicKen noodle) was also light in the broth. It wasn't as medium bodied as the beef, tho. Chicken was boneless and skinless and it was white (breast) meat.
The toppings given in the sandwich bag was standard but minimal in its amount with each bag containing a fistful of sprouts,1 short sprig top of Basil, 1 large wedge of lime and many slices of jalapeños.
Oh before I forget: each soup container came with 1 quart of light Golden translucent broth.
The crispy egg rolls arrived warm and stuffed well. One order was 5 egg rolls. Sometimes eggrolls can be barely filled. But these were tightly filled with a chicken filling. One can also select vegetable fillimg as another option. It comes with nouc nam as well. I like the packaging too as it had holes to vent. My pet peeves are fried foods inside of boxes that allows food to sweat (condensation) and turns the dish soggy. But not in this case. :)
I ordered when they were offering a special price @ $8.80 a bowl (reg $11.xx) and egg rolls were $6.00. Next time, I'd like to order the grill bowl, banh mi hope they offer beverages so it's one stop shopping
All in all, they are new, so give this place a try and review. read more
