At the visit, they checked my daughter and tried to brush her teeth, but she was scared of the machine so they couldn't even complete the cleaning. Later on, I received a bill charging me for the check-up and cleaning. When I called to ask why it wasn't billed through my insurance, they told me it was out of network. That was never mentioned when I called. I asked specifically to avoid this exact situation. Very unprofessional and misleading. I wouldn't have taken my daughter there if they had been honest from the beginning.

Even if deep cleaning comes with a little pain it's a pleasure to be serviced by this team! Dr. Shaikh is very great, communicative and explains every process thoroughly! I usually set appointments first thing in the morning, so there hasn't been any complaints of waiting on my side. Even so, they're happy to offer some coffee/tea in their wonderful waiting area. So far I've had 3 appointments with them, one in the afternoon weekday for a very first appt/check up. No wait. 2nd time was to get my right side of my mouth a deep cleaning, before work and I was in and out on time. My last time was a few days ago to finish up the left side deep cleaning on a Saturday at 9a, and I was in and out as well. Their staff is wonderful too! From the assistants to the reception. Dr. Guerrero and her team are the best. I have never liked and never will like going to the…read moredentist. That is why I really like Dr. Guerrero and how they have treated me. After many, many years of not having any cavities, a couple of old fillings needed to be replaced, and there were the beginnings of some new, small cavities. Overall, she worked on five teeth over two visits. Never fun to have any dentist work on my teeth, but Dr. Guerrero and her team are very professional and welcoming. Dr. Guerrero also gave me a follow up phone call a few weeks after the work to check in with me. Her office is also very nice with accommodations for the clients such as letting you select the music played in your area. One service in particular that was very helpful is that she photographed my teeth and was able to show me on her wall screen the tooth that needed work, what it looked like after she removed the old fillings, and what the tooth looked like after she was done. It was so helpful and comforting to see what the dentist was doing. Perhaps that is standard these days since I have not had cavities in a while, but I have had other work and a camera was never used. What I find most enjoyable, though, is how she works with her staff. While she worked on my teeth, she was giving instructions and guidance to her assistants while also talking about their kids, schools, and favorite food dishes. It was a nice blend of professionalism and the personal, and sort of made me feel like part of the office family. I also really like that Dr. Guerrero and her staff are bi-lingual and sometimes speak Spanish with each other when working on your teeth. And it is often the case that you will hear Juan Gabriel, Marco Antonio Solis, and other popular Latin American singers on their sound system. All in all, I highly, highly recommend anyone looking for a dentist. An outstanding dentist and staff who create a welcoming experience for their clients.

Takes approx 1 hour. Before Northside I went to dentology west loop where they "found" 2 cavities on my first visit then told me I needed a root canal. After 18 mo of being a Northside patient, they've diagnosed 0 cavities and confirmed the "root canal worthy pain" was from poor tooth shaping from a cavity fill at dentology. I get regular X-rays with Northside Shout out to my hygienist Pam who is always kind, easy to talk to, lets me know what's going on, and makes the whole experience pleasant.
