Crisp has given way to chew, heat to tepidness, flavor to flub. There is an invisible sign here that wards away souls like a rotting skunk. They've taken the short-order cooks and replaced them with languidly-smiling, busy, multi-tasking, multi-purpose, efficient and modern-day cashiers. They've taken the dining-tables and replaced them with....well, asphalt I suppose. A big black expanse designed perhaps to let oil trucks cut through like star-destroyers. Not even a single, splintery, sun-bleached picnic table to speak of. I suppose we're to eat on the condiments bar? "Nope, it's just most people, well, they eat on the road now."
