One of my go to grocery spots, especially for the BOGO's. Parking is pretty easy. Store is always well stocked and clean. They don't have as many selections as some other Publix locations but they do a good job with what they have. Quality/Quantity - Got some local souvenirs for our friends and family. Significantly cheaper than buying it on Broadway... For example Goo Goo's; see other Yelp review. Very small single endcap of local goods, see picture. Also got a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc, which I let my daughter choose. Atmosphere - Small urban Publix format. But still has all the departments, well smaller versions of them; bakery, deli, etc. Plenty of parking, but we just walked from our hotel which was approximately 3 blocks. Open 7 days a week from 7am to 10pm. Service - Self service check out, so great. Price - $50, everything we bought was of reasonable prices. Overall, this is one of the better Publix that I've been to! The only downside is that it is very small compared to other Publix stores I've been to. The staff is always very nice and helpful. Because it's in more of a city area, it can get extremely busy during the lunch hour. If you're ordering subs, I recommend doing it in advance instead of waiting in the long lines. Also, beware that there is ZERO cell service in the store! read more

We stopped by here because this was the closest grocery store my GPS selected and since my wife, her brother and I have never set foot inside a Publix Supermarket before, we all wanted to check it out. I formerly worked in the grocery industry and my BIL still does so it's always cool to check out how other grocery companies do things. I did not realize this was a scaled down grocery store, more of what we call one the West Coast, the neighborhood type of grocery store. The aisles are much smaller with a scaled down selection of brands and sizes to choose from. Great for the emergency needs but not always for the heavy duty shopping trips, at least for my lifestyle. Upon entering the store, it appeared very clean and decently stocked. I guess the store's personnel are not used to seeing an Asian come through the doors and then leave, then reenter with a cart, since I realized I was not in the mood to carry a full case of bottled water back to our parked rental vehicle. I could tell they thought I was going to rip them off, just by their body language. Sad!! I bring the cart with the case of water turned upside down so the SKU is displayed. I am never greeted by the checker who was standing at the beginning of the conveyor belt. She just walks behind her check stand to her register and looks at me. A few moments of awkward silence by both of us. I asked the checker (identified as "Ny" on my receipt) if she needs me to lift the case onto her belt for her to scan it or is she able to take her scanner and just scan the exposed SKU while the case stays in the cart. Most checkers I have interacted with would rather leave the heavy item(s) in the cart and scan those items rather than handle them and risk a repetitive injury sometime in the future. At the end of my transaction, not a single word, from "Ny". She just handed me my receipt and turned around. Publix did not impress any of us unfortunately. read more

Great location and super convenient! It's easy to get in and out, which makes quick trips a breeze. The store is always clean and well-organized, and the prices are pretty reasonable for the area. Waited around for at least 20 minutes or so on an order which they told us that they'll find out for us. Later when someone in our group inquired about it the lady just said she forgot and then just said they're not refilling the soup. We end up leaving since we were running low on time. In my year of regularly visiting this location due to convenience, I've come to like it less and less. Aside from the selection that I mentioned in my last review, which is expected at this point, most of the staff I've encountered are actually very rude. They never say excuse me when barreling down aisles, never greet you when entering their checkout line, bark orders at you and can't even bother to acknowledge the "thank you" patrons give at the end of their transaction. I understand this is a job, and most people would rather be with family and loved ones. I too have a job. And customer service is our number one priority. Don't make your bad day my problem as a customer. I will say not every person that works there is rude, but that is my experience 8 times out of 10. I go in, keep my head down, quickly grab my items and use self checkout. It's a very unpleasant place and I hope that the SM Dan will take this review and other similar ones seriously and have a conversation with Tiffany and the other cashiers. read more

This store is smaller than most (sort of a mini-Publix) but they seem to have a little of everything including a deli and bakery so we were able to get some subs and pie. Went to this Publix wanting one of those great subs.... So went to the sandwich counter. Ordered a Philly cheese steak sandwich, my favorite. Well they don't dance a room like the other locations I've been to so in the oven the meat and onions went in a paper bowl. The guy states the order and the lady finishes it with the toppings. She places the toppings on the bread..... then renders the cheese act placed it on top.... No ma'am. So she then puts my sandwich in the oven so she can melt the cheese she placed on top that should've been on the bottom or sautéed together. Needless to say the worst sub ever for $12 and I had to buy sauce to add to the sandwich because it was dried out from double oven time. And no flavor at all. This is a first for the process they used to make this sandwich. read more

This is the worst Publix I have ever been to. The workers are extremely unhelpful and all have an attitude. Once, I asked a worker, a teenage African American boy, if he knew where the jerky was since I was having trouble finding it. He just replied, "No," and walked off. 1. You're supposed to help a customer if they ask, and 2. Publix employees literally have a feature on their phones to help them find items, so he just didn't want to do his job, basically. The next time I was there, I said "Hi, how are you?" to the cashier, a younger red headed girl with an attitude, who didn't respond. I then said, "By the way, I'd like to do cash back today," she didn't respond again. I proceed with checking out and tap my card. I noted to the cashier it didn't give me a cash back option. "You have to insert the card," she snapped. I replied "Oh, oops, I didn't realize. Is there a way to reverse or cancel the transaction?" "No, you have to buy something else." So I bought a water and did my cash back. But 1. Why didn't you mention anything when I said something to you the first time? 2. I also used to work a job that required I periodically be a cashier and there, in fact, is a way to both cancel and reverse a transaction. So, in conclusion, the workers here are the worst. Also, they are always out of stock of whatever you're looking for. I now just drive a little further to go to the Belle Meade Publix since the workers there are super friendly and helpful, and it's much larger and better stocked. read more

Products you're used to finding at other Publix stores, probably won't be here. The deli counter was in complete disarray when I was thinking about getting a sandwich. I have mixed feelings about this Publix. I love Publix as a business. It's a middle of the road grocery store--not as fancy as Whole Foods but nicer than Kroger. Customer service is generally good and selection is nice. If you shop here on Wednesdays, you can get great deals like $5 sushi. As for this specific Publix, it's so convenient. I live in Metrocenter, so it's just a five minute zip down Rosa Parks Blvd. Plus they even have free EV parking/charging! It's very small compared to other Publices, but it has about the same stuff minus a couple specialty items on occasion. BUT. I have plenty of complaints too. Mostly due to customer service. First of all, let me say that friendly employees are nice...to an extent. But there's a limit. You can go overboard. And I've found that some of the employees here are just OVER-friendly. You only have to ask if I need help finding anything once. If I say I'm good, I'm good. You don't have to keep asking me. Tonight there was this guy who was a bit over-complimenting me. First it was nice. He complimented my jacket, and I was flattered. Then he brought up my shoes. Then he brought up my beard. By then, I was getting a bit uncomfortable. I just wanted to shop. The jacket compliment was enough. Finally, by the end of the shopping trip, my phone battery was getting low. And then right before leaving, it died. Ugh. So I asked some employees if I could charge it. They said no, they don't have a charger. Okay, fine. But I needed to charge up so that I could get an Uber home. I didn't drive. So I went to the customer service desk. No charger either, and the charger they tried to sell me didn't have a place to plug it in. Finally I asked for the manager. "We don't allow phone chargers here at all from any employees. It's against policy." Not even a place to plug in that USB charger apparently. Look, I get it if you don't want your employees on their phones all the time. But you're telling me that you don't have a single USB port in the entire store? Not even in the break room??? I hate to be the angry, rude customer. I've been on the other end. As someone who's worked in customer service many times, I know how annoying a rude customer can be. But without this charger, I CANNOT GET HOME. And I am not walking five miles with seven bags of groceries in hand. Eventually, I left and found an urgent care clinic next door. They gladly let me charge my phone and call an Uber. Now why couldn't the Publix do that simple favor? It would have been super easy. Maybe I'll just have to start shopping at Kroger again. The new location located of Charlotte Pike near downtown at the base of a new condo development Capitol View. I would never be able to do all my shopping at this location as it is very small and I will only use in a pinch. The location is geared to the on the go type downtown person, but a welcomed addition to those who live across the bridge in East Nashville. Parking is available under the garage at the back entrance which is well marked. The prices are high for the fresh fruits and veggies as well as just about everything else, but that is no real surprise. Great new addition to 11th north - it is attached to a parking garage and is making Nashville finally feel like an urban city (or so it wishes). It's a small Publix but that's to be expected for the location. Limited selection of most items, but they didn't remove any area either. So instead of having only certain sections, they appear to have all sections with just a specific stock. The specific stock and small location makes it kind of difficult because they were out of a few items I wanted. Also, the marking of pricing was weird at this location. Some didn't have tags and so if an item was out of stock, you wouldn't know what was there. And then there aren't any self checkout so even for smaller purchases, you're stuck waiting in line. Regardless, I'm happy to have a Publix closer to home and will be back. They just recently opened, so I hope they will monitor their feedback and sales to determine what's best to serve their customers. read more

This maybe a nice supermarket, but their customer service is for the pits. Especially for a person of color. I am definitely older than 21 years old. I wanted to add wine to my order. I am from out of State. I have been here working a couple of weeks. My driver's license did show it was expired. Because of the pandemic my State gave me a years extension. I have the letter with me. I have used this letter and my license to rent a car and shop at two other supermarkets. The person checking me out said she needed to check management. Because I am a person of color and the store was closing early she did not bother to come out of her office. She said it was the law that they could not accept it. Which obviously was not true. Fortunately my friend presented her license. I feel she couldn't bother to come out of her office because I am a woman of color. read more

Publix Supermarket will have almost everything you need for your pantry and even your personal chief (lol). I find the meat and deli department to be one of the better ones in the area. The bakery is another great plus as fresh bread and pastries can get you going in the morning or later in the day. Another convenience is the pharmacy that is able to respond to you and your doctor's prescriptions in a professional and pleasant experience. I find that overall the food, service and ambiance of the store is what you expect and deserve. read more

This is a great supermarket. It's clean, well stocked, and it rarely takes more than a few minutes to check out. The staff are always chatty and interactive. They also just added self check out, which is very smooth. The fact that another reviewer said that the manager didn't want to help her because she was a "person of color" is just straight up embarrassing. Not that I personally care, but it's got one of the most diverse staff and clientele I've seen. It's a fantastic supermarket. Beautiful location but I walked out with only a quarter of my planned items purchased. They are really lacking in the produce department. Some of the items I passed on - like a small bag of brussel sprouts (seriously 8 brussel sprouts for $3.49). No thanks, I'll go to Kroger down the street and get all of my items on my list for half the price thanks. Customer service like all Publix stores is exceptional. Finally a Publix in downtown Nashville! Tagged inside a big commercial building in the capital view area, parking is free inside the building. The store is clean and well organized. Staff were extremely friendly. Very nice selection of everything publix has to offer. The only thing is that due to its location I could imagine rush hour might be hard to get to bc it's downtown and hard to find parking due to limited parking space. Anyway it definitely has potential and Its a great addition to downtown Nashville. read more

The only grocery store in "downtown " Nashville. I love Publix sandwiches. As a flight attendant I always search out a grocery store on my layovers, and am always happy if a Publix is in town. This one was different. The line for the deli sandwich (when I got there) was 4 people. I waited about 20 minutes for my turn. I ordered 2 uncomplicated sandwiches- 1 Italian and 1 Boarshead honey maple Turkey. When the lady asked me what I wanted on them - I asked her, did you not put on the cheese? She asked me what kind I wanted. Well, the menu specified the Italian had provolone and the Turkey had Swiss. The ONLY other topping I requested were banana peppers. That's it. No Mayo, mustard or anything else. I am taking these on my flight, one for a coworker. Imagine my surprise when I get to BNA and pull out my sandwich. I add my own Mayo and mustard. The sandwich looks just fine BUT as I am eating it it is so spicy. I do not like spicy. The lady put Jamaican jerk turkey on my sandwich. No bueno! I gave it to the Captain....what a bummer! I feel for the sandwich counter ladies....by the time I got my order there were at least 15 people in line. Where was the manager? It's all hands on deck when the line is wrapping around the produce section! In the scheme of things I'm just happy that people show up at all. But I was super bummed that I waited all that time- didn't ask for any crazy crap like the girl in front of me, but still got the wrong sandwich! I'll be there again next week. A beautiful new market minutes away from downtown Nashville. Very nice store design with plenty of off street covered parking. The staff is very very friendly and helpful and while not the biggest public have ever been to, has a great selection and everything you need. Being in Germantown with no good options for groceries, I was excited there was going to be a Publix at this location. The parking garage is large, lit up well at night and near the carts. The store itself, although new and clean is not very big. I must say, if you are looking for a few groceries and aren't particular about brand, etc. this is a good place for you. But if you are looking for organic produce, veggies, fruit, salads, you are out of luck. This store has one super tiny section of organic and most of the stuff didn't look that good. They need to cater to who will be shopping there and the location, or everyone will go to the new whole foods down the street when it opens. The prices at Publix aren't even that cheap. Overall, I would say good spot if you need a grab a few things but not for your weekly shopping. read more

I really love how convenient this store is to our location. I always love Publix grocery stores. This store might be smaller but I have found customer service to be very good here and store associates are always available when I come in looking for one thing or another. The parking lot is garaged but is so scary to drive around in cause people just fly in and out of there. I realize folks are in a hurry but you don't have to try and play chicken with other vehicles to get that coveted close to the store door parking spot. I will be happy to park further away but then I have to watch out for you as well now that I am on foot! People just slow down and be courteous! It's not that hard! Terrible experience tried to get service and it took for ever. Deli associate said they couldn't get an item listed on the menu because, "they were out". It's a Publix brand item. When I asked to speak with the manager she told me to walk over and find one myself. After creating a hostile environment with another employee at the deli, she continued to yell across the stores for the manager. This is not a huge Publix but it's new, very clean, has a free covered parking garage, accessible by a paved bike/walk trail. During Coronavirus all the staff is wearing masks and they put one-way aisles and social distancing markers are on the floors. They do not seem to require that you wear a mask, but most people do. The customers are mostly young professionals, perhaps because of the location. The staff is friendly and helpful, but I'm taking off one star because I was overcharged for produce and didn't realize it until I got home and read my receipt. read more

Good store for 3/4 of my needs, but as someone else pointed out, limited supply of organic produce, which is pricy and often not as fresh as I'd like. Turnip Truck is also pricy, but has much better quality organic greens. Otherwise, great selection of things like organic milk, yogurt, chicken, etc., in a pleasant environment.
