This doctor is amazing. He treated me with my eczema and I haven't had a problem yet. I highly recommend this place.

The office manager Jazmine is terrible and lazy . I tried to make a new patient appointment and she did not want to take the time to see if her doctor was in network with my insurance . Also she had a very nasty tone and hung up on me . I called back to ask to speak with the doctor to report her and she claims she took a message . Please do not go here !!!!!!!!!!! read more

I wanted to wait until my condition improved in order to write a fair, honest review. I've struggled with my skin for a good portion of my life (thank you genetics) and I can say with confidence that not every individual has an innate talent for dermatology. That being said, not enough good things can be said about Dr. Brooks and his staff. From the moment you walk in, you automatically feel like everything will be okay, even better than okay. I came in with multiple issues after being misdiagnosed by another doc and he managed to bring me back to life within a few days. Extremely knowledgeable and professional doctor. I cannot thank him enough. My visits were medical-based but his office offers a variety of other services like cosmetic/medi spa etc. I will be back for those soon! read more

Super professional and knowledgeable, I can't recommend Dr. Brooks and his staff enough. I was a little wary coming in during Covid but his office is well managed, they check everyone's temperature on the way in and make sure to maintain social distancing. And as others have noted, the wait time was fine, and when Dr. Brooks saw me he really listened to the issue, came up with a plan, and now, a few weeks and one follow up appointment later, everything is back to normal, putting all my concerns at ease. After that experience I wouldn't go anywhere else. Also my experience with the staff was great, seems like the receptionists are in college and preparing to apply to med school or nursing school, so they're really on top of things and I found them to be nice and friendly. read more

Working with someone who is knowledgeable and experienced is extremely refreshing. You get these things with Dr. Brooks. Dr. Brooks and his staff are professional and mannerly. His office if clean and organized and it's rare you have to wait longer than 10 minutes to meet him. As someone who has been plagued my skin issues my whole life it's nice having doctor whose seen just about everything and knows the right steps to take in each scenario. I've tried other dermatologists since I started with Dr. Brooks a few years ago due to scheduling issues with my job but no one can measure up to him. Dr. Brooks is a terrific doctor doesn't make big deals out of small problems! His bedside manner is the best out of any doctor that I have he makes you feel comfortable he takes care of all your prescriptions needs . Dr Brooks is a very kind doctor but his billing staff is very rude and accused me of always cancelling and getting away with not paying their "No Show Fee" of $50. I never ever not showed for an appointment. This last week I had an appointment for my son but his High School decided to hold a meeting last minute that he needed to attend. I cancelled 22 hours ahead of time instead of the 24 hours they said they needed. I asked for the fee to be waived for a returning patient. Karen told me I am a liar and I need to pay the fee. Sadly Dr Brooks lost a patient and left us with a horrible taste of what his office is like. We will never return again! read more

I arrived 15 minutes early for appointment, and had virtually no wait time at all! If you've ever been to a dermatologist, you probably know just how rare this is. Everyone in the office, from front desk to PA were all as lovely as could be, and the biggest kudos of all to Dr. Brooks, who was extremely likable and helpful. He took the time to explain what we were looking at medically in language I could understand; attended to the necessary procedure quickly and expertly; and talked with me about what I could expect afterwards, and what I should do going forward. Im a very difficult patient i ask a millions questions and always on panic mode i have health anxiety Had concerns about my mole and i went to him for biopsy Waited 10minutes and he saw me right away Answered all my questions without trying to run away from me to other patients. My husband Matias went here once and he has his wart on his arm and head frozen, but neither was done successfully and now he has three instead of two. We contacted the billing office and then my husband called and even went in person to dispute the charges because the treatment was unsuccessful. The billing department said they couldn't do anything, the front desk staff person was rude and the doctor never responded to our request to have the charge reduced. read more

I've been going to Dr Brooks for all my dermatological needs. Initially I came for advice for some occasion acne. Dr Brooks not only took the time to evaluate my skin, he created a regimen that worked perfectly for me. When I developed plantar warts I knew the person to go to. With one treatment everything went away! I'm so happy with the services provided and how knowledgeable and kind the doctor was. The office is very clean and organized. The front desk was helpful and always accommodating when scheduling my appointments. I came to Dr. Brooks for laser hair removal. Office is looks nice and he answered all my question. However, regarding dermatologist, he's not an expert. But that should be for another review. Find a better dermo. For the medi-spa, When I bought a package of 6 laser hair removals, I was excited. I did my research and all and made sure what I would expect. When I had my first session done, I noticed that the hair grew back in strips. Like a zebra. I spoke with my pcp doctor, another dermatologist and a general surgeon, 3 separate doctors! who get laser done and they said they did it wrong. They are not suppose to do spot by spot. But a fast movement. Hair will grow back in spots, however Not like an American flag stripes. I went and complained to the lady with short hair who had an attitude after I showed her the photos of the work that was done. She cut me off and said that hair will grow back in patches. I said I know! but this is not patches. This is stripes, lines where she didn't laser it. I ask to speak with the doctor and she said no. You will have to make an appointment and we will bill the insurance company. The next time I went (I had 5 session left) they gave me another girl.This one seems to have a botch lip injection. That was the sign that this place SUCKS! But I have to say, She knew what she was doing. Hair didn't grow back and when I did see the hair come back, there were in patches. On my 4th session I got the first girl I had. Once again, she screwed up, It was stripped marks again. I don't recommend this place. The staff isn't friendly. And apparently they have a worker who doesn't know what she is doing. Shop around and find yourself another laser or cosmetic place. read more

I have been bringing my 2 daughters to Dr. Brooks for several months now. . He used a multi step approach with through follow up and their skin has never looked better! He is kind , professional and takes his time to address the needs of his patients.We have never felt rushed and even with a full office the wait time has been minimal . He also makes himself available in between appointments if needed. Dr. Brooks has Saturday hours which works beautifully around work schedules. Buyer Beware.....I had an appointment with Dr. Brooks, as a new patient, for a body screen and laser treatment for a spider vein. I actually had an earlier appointment that I needed to cancel and rebook and during both conversations on the phone I was told my insurance would not cover the body screen and I would have to pay $150 out of pocket but that amount would apply to my spider vein therapy. I agreed. When I arrived I had to fill out a stack of paper work, regarding personal medical informations and also a photo copy of my drivers license. I also was asked to pay the $150 before I saw the Dr Brooks. Again, I agreed, but asked if I could pay just once, after I was done, rather than having to take my credit card out and pay a second time. The girl behind the desk said this is how Dr. Books wanted to do things. I thought it was a strange practice, more business oriented than medical? but I paid and waited. The girl stepped away and five minutes later she asked me which treatment did I want to do.... a body check or vein therapy? I asked, " What did she mean? Was the doctor was too busy to do both?" She said the $150 would apply to only one treatment. I told her that, that was not the understanding when I booked my appt. over the phone (2x),nor was it what we both just discussed upon check in. She said thats the way things are being done now....very, strange..... I never meet Dr. Brooks, so I can not comment on his medical acumen, but the experience at the desk was enough for me to ask for a refund and move on. read more

I have been to countless dermatologists all over NY. Dr. Brooks is absolutely my favorite! He is extremely honest, hard working, has an excellent bedside manner, and is genuine. I can go on all day about this doctor. His prices are on the high side, but he does accept my insurance. He also treats his patients with a complimentary peel. He said that he would not feel successful until he stopped my acne and removed the scars. I cried all the way home because I knew he meant it. I have a collagen P.I.N.
