With that being said, I have to say the experience was still fantastic. Susan at the front desk scheduled my appointment and called to confirm the day before. Lucille did the initial doppler scan. She was really nice and explained everything that she was doing and made sure to let me know that nothing emergent was going on with my legs. I then met with Dr. Friedman. He's a kind and soft spoken man, but straight to the point. He recommended compression stockings, a sequential circulator that would help push the fluids out of my legs and also recommended a laser procedure to close a vein that was not functioning well. Franca quickly took care of getting authorization and scheduling the laser procedure as well as confirming the appointment the night before. The procedure itself only took about half an hour and was virtually painless. Linda expertly handled the doppler scan as Dr. Friedman accessed the proper vein for the laser treatment. Lucille was there to assist as well as Sue. Once we were done, Sue cleaned me up and got me into the compression stocking. (No easy feat I can assure you!!) From beginning to end, the process was handled with ease by the staff of Lake Success Vascular. I was so impressed that I ordered them lunch as a thank you!! I'm happy to report that the procedure was a success and the swelling has decreased quite a bit!! An experience like this is always a no brainer for a wonderful review. Dr. Friedman said they were vericose veins coming to the top near the skin because Im standing for so long on my feet in addition to all the weight I'm carrying with my gun belt and my vest. He had suggested getting laser treatment which is not as bad as it sounds. I came in yesterday to the ProHealth building at Marcus Avenue. They checked my temperature at front due to Covid-19. The entire office was extremely helpful and put my mind at ease about the surgery. The office followed all COVID-19 protocol. Linda, Lucille, and both Susan's made sure everything was taken care of. Thank you Susan at front desk for having such a great sense of humor. The actual surgery lasted about 25 minutes and Dr.Friedman talked me through the prepping of the leg all the way through till the end. At one point, he said we are almost done. I was talking out loud and I said "Sweet". He replied and laughed and said "Yes it is pretty sweet were almost done". I'm thoroughly impressed with the whole experience I had with Dr. Friedman's office. Thank you for making me feel at home during such a difficult time with this COVID-19 pandemic. I would give them 6 stars if it were possible. Courteous, professional, and organized are words to describe the office. Dr. Friedman is truly a master of his craft.

My mom has a history of blood clots and has been a patient of Dr. Safa's for the last few years…read more She is elderly and has spinal issues as well (spinal stenosis, scoliosis, osteoporosis). She's been complaining of pain in her left leg for the last couple of weeks. I took her to see Dr. Safa last Wednesday and explained that she is having a lot of trouble walking and it hurts to put pressure on her left leg. Normally they do a sono but the sono tech wasn't in and would be in the following day. I asked Dr. Safa if I should bring my mom back for the sono. He said her circulation was fine, pulses were fine, she had no blood clots and to come back in 6 months. WRONG!! That night my mom fell because she was in so much pain and lost her balance. She has been in the hospital since Friday with a BLOOD CLOT and she now also has pelvic and spinal fractures due to her fall. I am beside myself. My mom now has a long road ahead. She will need rehab once she is discharged from the hospital. Dr. Safa called me after I complained to his office and gave me his version of events. I am still very disappointed in the care she received.

I arrived early at 9:15 AM, yet I was not seen until 10:54 AM--over an hour past my appointment time. When the provider finally entered, there was no acknowledgment of the delay, no greeting, and no apology. He immediately began asking questions, demonstrating a clear lack of basic bedside manner and professionalism. More concerning, despite being part of my care team since the onset of my DRESS syndrome on March 2nd, the provider came to this visit without any thoughtful or proactive care plan. I was met with uncertainty and repeated statements like, "I don't know if there's anything we can do," which was both surprising and deeply disappointing. Given his full visibility into the severity and progression of my condition, I expected a clear path forward--especially regarding the lasting skin damage. Instead, there was a complete absence of direction, reflecting a serious gap in continuity of care, accountability, and patient-centered treatment. Overall, the experience felt dismissive and unproductive, leaving me questioning the value of the visit altogether.
