RUN RUN RUN... away from this office......DO not even waste your time with this DOCTOR or his office. In the day and time you deserve to be treated like a human being and this office knows nothing about treating patients. I was a patient of Dr. Walczyk for many years. I followed him from when he worked under Dr. Demento in Garden City. I even still continued to go to him when I moved out East and was over an hour or so away from the Manhasset office. The girls in the office are the rudest people that you would ever want to meet in your life. The office manager MARIA is a sad excuse for a person. She should not be running an office and certainly not working around people. It is really sad, b/c this Doctor can be so much more successful. Last year or so there was a mishap with my insurance company. They paid a visit here, then they decided my insurance would end mid month( my husbands contract ended). So the insurance company asked the office to refund back the money. I let the doctors office not and I advised them not to send back the money b/c I was covered. I told the office that I was handling it and disputing it, but the continued to harass me over $181. I continued to tell them that I was disputing it. That set the stage for what would happen next. This past summer I called to set up an appt. I had noticed something on my chest area that was a concern and I was having an allergic reaction to something. They gave me an appt for a couple of months later. They also advised me I had that $181 balance. I let them know that I would take care of it when I came in for my appt , if the insurance was not figuring it out . The day before my appt my daughter was very sick, I had to change my appt. The office changed my appt to the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. I called the night before to confirm my appt and well MY GOD... the girls in the office told me I didn't have an appt. They were disgustingly rude to me. Then Maria got on the phone, mocking me , telling me about my balance and that I didn't have an appt. I told her that I had the phone record to prove the times I called there, etc. She told me she would put me on a waiting list of 80 people. I explained to her there was some kind of mistake her office made, and that they should make this right and get me in. I had waiting since July to come in and it was very important b/c my mother had skin cancer and I had a spot on my chest. She told me that she could give me an appt in March. She kept on talking to me sarcastically. Like she was GOD . I told her I wanted to speak to the doctor and she told me that he doesn't talk to patients. I explained that my husband was returning from Afghanistan at the end of Dec and that I needed to get in before then. She did nothing to help me but hang up on me laughing. Maria should be FIRED immediately. Who treats someone like this. I did nothing wrong. I called to confirm my appt, and they made me think I was crazy. I had and was given 2 appts. At this point there was nothing I could do. After speaking with someone at the answering service , she advised me to write the Dr Walczyk a letter, which I did. I also included my phone records to prove that I had the appts. I do think the monsters at the desk intercepted it, but either way, DR. WALCZYK did not contact me. SO Dr. Walczyk, if you are reading this know how YOU and YOUR OFFICE treat people is disgusting and so UNPROFESSIONAL. You call yourself a doctor.
