I have been coming here for about six years…read more Today 2/3/2026, Medical Assistant Casey escorted me into the patient room, asked for the purpose of my visit and wrote down my symptoms. Milena Bonilla P.A., who is Board certified, evaluated me and treated my hair and skin conditions. She knows how to treat African skin, which scars easily and is prone to hyperpigmentation. She also addressed my hereditary hair loss and the products that I need to buy to treat it. I am impressed with her results. There are many skin product samples in the office, which I have taken home and tried. I now know which cleansers and sunblock work best on my skin. Ms. Bonilla nor anyone else in the office has ever pressured me into getting cosmetic dermatology work done, like Botox or chemical peels. I strictly go there for medical dermatology, like blackhead removals and annual skin cancer evaluations. I can't say enough incredible things about Long Island Dermatology. I highly recommend.

From the moment you walk into the office, you're treated with kindness and professionalism. Carmine takes his time to truly listen to your concerns and walks you through every treatment option with care and clarity. He's not only incredibly knowledgeable, especially when it comes to laser treatments and skincare, but also has a calm and reassuring presence that makes you feel comfortable and confident in his care. Whether it's a routine skin check, a cosmetic procedure, or a more complex dermatological issue, he approaches everything with precision and genuine concern for your well-being. It's rare to find a provider who combines skill, compassion, and a true passion for what they do--Carmine checks all those boxes. Long Island is lucky to have him.

However, the staff who answer the phone are extremely rude and uncooperative. They hung up on me and refused to email or fax a melanoma pathology report that I wanted to forward to another doctor. They would only mail it, thereby delaying my treatment. I will not subject myself to this behavior again. I am looking for another dermatologist. We never had an experience like this with any doctor's office staff and this is particularly egregious considering the serious nature of the condition. Good bye Dr. Walczyk and good riddance to his staff.

Dr. Walczyk is an excellent doctor. Very thorough but still approachable. He's constantly in 'Top…read moreDoctors' but unfortunately that comes with extremely hard to book late appointments. If you want a late in the day appointment, I suggest making it 6-12 months in advance. When he examines you there is a female associate typing the whole time. If he has any treatment for you, she types it up and you can pick it up at the front desk. Now onto the front desk. The front desk is like rolling dice: sometimes you get someone nice, and sometimes you get someone who wishes you were anywhere else. There was an instance where the front desk refused to let my grandmother see the doctor until she paid what they said was due(they had sent letters demanding pay and they were responded to saying that the secondary insurance owes that amount) despite her having secondary insurance to her Medicare. She paid it and then it turned into basically a federal case for her to get her refund once her secondary paid the office.

What a delightful lady. We said happy belated Christmas and a Happy New Year to each other. What a great start with smiles and happiness. I noticed a Southern accent. Casey said she's from Atalanta, GA. I had actually spent 1/2 my 20's clubbing until 4-5am. She knew the diner Waffle House. Yummy waffles, pancakes and pork chop. Casey asked me what was the reason for the appt and then took down my insurance. Few seconds later she gave me my appt date, Dr's name and Ofc address. Casey said if I needed a much sooner appt that they have other locations. I told her that my Bady is Dec 31. I'm not scaling off or shedding yet. So I'll keep the location closest to me. We both laughed. Casey confirmed all my information again and again gave me my appt info, Dr's name and ofc address. We both happily said Happy Holidays to each other. Who would think making a Dr's appt would make you laugh and smile throughout the call. Thank you again Casey and Happy Holidays. Cheers.

I arrived early at 9:15 AM, yet I was not seen until 10:54 AM--over an hour past my appointment time. When the provider finally entered, there was no acknowledgment of the delay, no greeting, and no apology. He immediately began asking questions, demonstrating a clear lack of basic bedside manner and professionalism. More concerning, despite being part of my care team since the onset of my DRESS syndrome on March 2nd, the provider came to this visit without any thoughtful or proactive care plan. I was met with uncertainty and repeated statements like, "I don't know if there's anything we can do," which was both surprising and deeply disappointing. Given his full visibility into the severity and progression of my condition, I expected a clear path forward--especially regarding the lasting skin damage. Instead, there was a complete absence of direction, reflecting a serious gap in continuity of care, accountability, and patient-centered treatment. Overall, the experience felt dismissive and unproductive, leaving me questioning the value of the visit altogether.
