Transitioning into a new job, I was looking for some business/business casual basics. I'm a reluctant shopper. I don't have an eye or patience for fashion and need someone to guide me. Walking in and meeting Mark was not your usual retail experience. This was a professional outfitter who knows the LA culture, both timeless and latest fashions. I hardly lifted a finger. Mark outfitted me, gave his true opinion and guided me through. He treated me like a C-Suiter. Mark is THE unique value proposition for brick and mortar retail (vs e-commerce). He garnered trust, he customized the shopping experience to my needs all with an authoritative air and human touch. If others follow Brooks Brothers Beverly Hills' lead in hiring true talent (not just smilers), more customers will come. I have always equated Brooks Brothers with baggy dress shirts and plaid sweater vests for the over 65 crowd. I was pleasantly surprised, however, to find a wide selection of slim-cut button down shirts that fit my slender frame. They even had shirts that were cut too slim for me - a first for me outside of the kids section. I ended up purchasing a a couple of very nice shirts that appear tailor made for me. And, I must say, the service was extremely helpful and pleasant. I'll definitely return. read more

This is the place where my parents took me to when I was young. ( Not the Brooks Brothers in Beverly Hills, but the one in Portland since I grew up there.) This is the place where I wore my first tie when I was 3. This is where I bought my preparatory school blazer. This is where...... Well you get the point by now. I've gone to Brooks Brothers since I was a kid. And now I'm here to spread the news. It was February 26th when I went. Great service. The staff was kind and helped me out with everything. Been a Brooks Brothers customer for many years and this was my second visit to the Rodeo store. I kept meaning to write a review for the exceptional assistance I received from Ema. Lucky me to have her help me the second time as well. She is professional, pleasant and she really listens to specific requirements. In general, I'm not a big fan of shopping but Ema really made it quick and painless by bringing a well-chosen assortment of things to try on. Bought a pant suit and dress shirt and was out of there in less than 30 minutes. Free parking in back as well. read more

I simply do not shop clothing retail. Brooks Brothers is my only exception except for underwear and socks. At this location they have the standard phenomenal service, custom tailoring available, and of course the exceptional Brooks Brothers quality we've all come to expect. I bought a long sleeve dress shirt here (that was on sale mind you) a while ago and they shook my hand upon completion of purchase and afterwards sent me a thank you letter in the mail! You don't get service like that these days and it's great to see Brooks Brothers doing such! As an avid Brooks Brothers junky with over 15 dress shirts, 2 polos, and a plethora of ties and bow ties in my wardrobe I'm very proud to wear Brooks Brothers as I believe it to be the BEST in men's clothing! read more

I buy my dress shirts here for the most part. They have a great, conservative collection that is well-tailored to my frame. They are certainly not cheap (around $70/each), but then I don't suppose many are shopping on Rodeo Drive to save money! Some day I will try one of the bespoke services now being offered online (e.g. modern tailor). Until then, Brooks Brothers will remain my go-to for dress shirts. read more

I've shopped at Brooks Brothers at various locations across the U.S. for a number of years and I feel that the Beverly Hills location is not staffed with knowledgable people. I ventured in to buy a suit while taking advantage of a sale that was in progress and while the gent helping me was quite polite he really didn't know anything about suits, or very little, so I left without buying. The whole Beverly Hills location just feels like they cut a lot of corners with regards to competent or helpful staff. I would recommend a different Brooks Brothers location, I might just start getting all my dress shirts from Charles Tyrwhitt, better service and they are in the UK. read more

An update from our visit to the store on Monday! WOW is all I can say! Customer service is beyond top notch! They knew exactly who we were as we entered the store. Catherine had given Jeannie the info as to what we wanted and she already had a whole rod of clothes pulled. It sure did make shopping with a 12 year old boy easy! Tila the seamstress came down and fitted everything. We were there for almost 2 hours (I know seems like a long time but it really wasn't). We left with a whole new wardrobe for my nephew! Wouldn't consider shopping anywhere else! Can't say enough about the BB team, quality of clothing and customer service. Best ever! read more

I love the pajamas at Brooks Brothers. I bought my husband a set for his Christmas present a few years ago and they were just so soft and nice. I like the women's suits here too. They're perfect for work. Very classic and practical. Most of the staff are wandering around somewhere. Every time I come here I can never seem to find anyone, even at the register. I don't know where they go. It's not like they're helping other customers either because there is usually no one else (or maybe just one or two other people) in the store. read more

I've lived in the area for a few years now and have spent plenty of time here and at the Brooks Bros. at Westfield in Century City. This is easily the biggest store I've ever been in any where in the US. If Brooks Bros. makes it this store has to have it. I'm also a lifetime Brooks Bros. customer. I live in their non-iron dress shirts. I agree with some of the other reviewers here on the spotty customer service but I've noticed a huge increase in staffing at the store as well as the general attitude and quality of the professionals working there. I would attribute this to the recent change in store management. There is a new Sheriff in town at this location as of a couple months ago and it shows big time. I recently got a Made-2-Measure suit and there were a few issues during the process but they were address quickly and to my satisfaction. The manager even checked in on me while I was waiting for some swatchs to arrive. A bottle of water and a cookie made the process even more enjoyable. I will gladly continue to frequent this store. If you haven't been here in a while I would give it another shot. read more

First of all, forget the first floor. Apart from shoes and dress shirts, the first floor is full of conservative casual clothing that you probably won't want to wear unless you're at least in your forties or fifties and find yourself on a boat or yacht relatively often. The second floor is where it's at: suiting! The sales associates are a mixed bag. They must be dependent on commissions, because they work their butts off to sell you something, but if you ever lose interest, they move you along. I don't fault them for this; it's a fact of the retail life. One guy I dealt with when I was shopping for my tux was very nice and very patient while I decided, and I take a LONG time to decide. I even walked out of the store at one point, because I flat out told him that I was on a budget, but after checking out my alternative (a Hugo Boss tuxedo for $800, vs the Brooks tux at $1,200), I went back and bought the Brooks Brothers tux, in part because of the quality difference (which was noticeable), but also because the service at Brooks Brothers was so much better than at Hugo Boss. Another time, I was shopping for dress shirts, and another associate was very helpful and courteous even though I was buying relatively low-ticket items (only three dress shirts). I've also been to their Century City store. Much smaller, much fewer choices, but still rather helpful. The staff in the Beverly Hills store seems a lot friendlier, though. I'm definitely coming back here! I need to get a couple of basic suits, and with the sale going on it might just be the right time to get them. read more

My experience is like many of the recent reviews -- poor customer service. When there are three greeters but no one is helping customers, you know it's not a well-managed store. I waited 15-20 minutes before being helped by a salesman. But that wasn't the problem. The problem was, the salesman made two big mistakes. First, he didn't alert me to a sale: if you buy 2 shirts, you pay full price. Buy three shirts, the price drops. I only learned about this when I visited brooksbrothers.com and called customer service to confirm the same offer applies in-store. And second, he was way too familiar. When I walk into a store with my girlfriend, I don't want to hear commentary about her looks. I want professionalism. I'll still buy Brooks Brothers, but I'll buy online. read more

Bad Service! I just spent 40 minutes in Brooks Brothers Rodeo Drive location trying to buy 5 dress shirts but couldn't get a salesman to help me. When a salesman finally did come he spent 30 seconds with me and then went off with another customer that he claimed had been there longer than me. Awful customer service. Each salesman or manager that I asked to get someone to help me did nothing. read more

Dearie me has this rose lost it's bloom...I recall a time when the moniker "Brooks Brothers" meant something, something special (in a good way) that is. With such a prestigious location and quality decor, one would think it would be sensible and expected to do things like present a wide variety of quality ties in a manner superior to that one would find displayed on a flat table at a rummage sale. In fact, I couldn't discern what was some type of clearance special and what was supposed to be current, given the repetition of colors and patterns presented on the dining room table one can't miss on their way to the foot of a staircase which, though grand, has a certain imposing feel to it that anyone not equipped with gym shoes may hesitate to take on for fear of slipping and ending up in traction at the medical center. Anyway, It's not a completely grim experience as most of the staff seem fluent in English and try hard despite not really looking the part in a poorly tailored (if at all) suit from elsewhere. If one does insist on sporting the brooks brothers label these days, they may be better served to pop over to an end lot retailer and take their chances because they will at least have services like an elevator most likely and you will save so much money that you can treat yourself and a friend to a nutritious meal somewhere interesting. I brought in the jacket to a suit to have it altered and repaired (the shoulders had these sharp things sticking out from underneath - something that occurred on a prior BB suit). It had been cleaned at my hotel but since I did not bring it in on a hanger with a plastic bag around it - they refused to accept it for alterations. What a hassle and inconvenience and not customer friendly. The irony was when walking in I noticed a promotional sale and had thought to myself "if the tailoring process goes quickly and easily...I should look at what they have." I did not look at any new suits nor will I ever again. read more

I've been a Brooks Brothers customer for about 15 years. I've been buying their clothes almost exclusively for work since then. I hate to say it but the service at this particular location has been very disappointing. I bought two new suits online during their post Xmas sales. They come with free tailoring (enter Beverly Hills) location. I go to the location and realize essentially only hemming is covered for the pants. I pay extra to fix the pants which is not such a big deal to me if they do a good job. For whatever reason, alterations take a full month at this location. I return a month later and one suit still needs a lot of work and the second suit is just flat out lost. The tailor remeasures everything and takes the first suit back. No one can tell me how long it'll be or when they'll find the other suit. So here I am a week later trying to figure out when the suit alterations will be done. I'll probably have to go back to the store to get the other suit remeasured once they find that one too. Altogether, I'm looking at close to 3 months for two suits. Both the suits with the sales were near $1500. I figured that should be enough to at least get some service. read more

Brooks Brothers was offering a deal for $800. For this price, you could pick from 4 or 5 suit colors/material and they would measure you and create a tailored made suit.. Great deal, right? I was very excited. Went in for the fitting, all went fine. The climate was a bit snooty, but hey, it was rodeo dr, what do you expect. I was going to have my own, tailored, BB suit. 2 weeks later I picked it up. The crotch was half way to my knees and the pants seemed about 1/2 inch too short. I was shocked and my wife laughed her ass off. Moral of the story: Don't shop for a Porsche on a VW budget. Men's Wearhouse, here I come. read more
