The salad's vinaigrette was good, but there were way too many tomato wedges and the tomatoes themselves were not great (it was early March -- I wasn't expecting good tomatoes). It would have been better to leave those off. The pizza was excellent -- good cheese, good fresh basil, a tasty sauce and a solid crust. We would definitely get that pizza again. We also ordered some italian wedding soup. It was hearty and delicious. The addition of chicken was nice and all of the flavors worked well together. So far, I preferred the Margherita Fresco Pizza. It is as good as Baba Louie's or dare I say better. The tiramisu is the best dessert to treat yourself after a tough shift or tough work week. Tried the pizza and meatballs with a small group of four. Table seating outside was nice and they do table service. Very friendly staff and accommodating, even brought out a dog bowl for the puppy. The pizza is a more traditional style pizza but for what it is I think it's a bit pricey. Note traditional cheese is light sauce and medallions of mozzarella spread through so if you are looking for a cheesy slice this is not it. Meatballs were delicious - sauce was average. read more

The staff was wonderful, even let us sample some amaretto gelato (which was also amazing). They also educated us on their dinner menu, which I also want to try ASAP. Wow! I finally got there and I should have gotten my butt there sooner! I had been drooling as I followed them on insta for awhile. Now I can say the pictures match the taste. If you want a sandwich or grinder that you can really sink your teeth in, try this place. The picture I took doesn't do the grinders justice. Absolutely fantastic. Rare in these parts. ordered delivery, they had the food ready and out the door in record time. Door dash dropped the ball and delivered the food late after going to the wrong address. this had nothing to do with the restaurant at all and it wasn't even close to their fault. When I called brooklyn's to let them know, the owner spent about 20 minutes on the phone with me before vowing to get me a refund. After he spent a half hour on the phone with DoorDash he called me back at midnight to let me know that I was getting a full refund. After that, as if he hadn't already done enough, he offered me a cannoli the next time I come in. I couldn't possibly accept it. It's wonderful to find people and establishments like this. this is how I treat my customers, and you can tell the guy is passionate about his craft. Ordered from DoorDash last night. Yeah, it's expensive. You know what else is expensive? Running a restaurant in 2022. We got a plain cheese pie, cavatelli with red sauce, and fettuccine Alfredo, and everything was solid. The pastas were huge portions but still high quality on par with what the better restaurants in the North End (Boston) do. Red sauce had a bright and fresh taste, the Alfredo was maybe a little under seasoned but not much and had a good consistency, not gluey or floury like you get when they stretch it with cheap stuff. The pizza was solid, very minimally sauced and cheesed but good balance. People used to garbage chain pizza might say it needs more but to each their own I guess. You decide if it's worth paying for but I'd say it's definitely a step up quality wise. read more

Our first of what will be many visits! Frank and Valentina are wonderful to talk with and are committed to giving an experience of delicious food made with the best ingredients. We went for the pizza (which we really enjoyed) and also left with cavatelli, gnocchi and sauce to prepare a meal at home. A few years ago after a long day of skiing my Husband and I were wandering the streets of Pittsfield looking for a place to eat. We stumbled upon Brooklyn's Best and decided to go in and check it out. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a friendly face and a warm smile. The man behind the counter welcomed us in and began telling us about all the delicious items on the menu and we couldn't resist. The food and hospitality were absolutely amazing. We felt as though we were dining with Family. That was one of the most memorable dinners we have ever had. So memorable that we keep going back and have never been disappointed. Brooklyns Best was a Bust. I wanted to like this place but right off the bat I was turned off. Called for reservations, a few days prior, granted it was for a Saturday but I felt dismissed by the gentleman who kinda suggested I wouldn't want to pay the $75 a head after a certain time which was not an issue for me. They could not accommodate any of the times I suggested for reservations, even seeing if Friday was available. He couldn't even give me a time they open as well, saying they open at all different times depending on the day or their mood I suppose. Interesting. Thank god though we didn't pay the " hefty" price cause the food was mid. We decided to do take out since they could not accommodate our party of 4. Pastas had a couple tablespoons at most of sauce on them like a small child might eat. The mozzarella en carozza was basically white bread fried with crappy mozzarella. It was so hard I could have used it as a deadly weapon. Meatballs meh. Eggplant greasy. And the kicker when my husband picked up the food and spoke/ schmoozed with the man, he's like oh we could have accommodated you if he knew we weren't from around here and from NYC. He also said the food/menu is different inside the restaurant including Peter Luger steaks. No thanks, I'll just go to Luger's and have Italian back home. And the kicker, empty tables when we picked up our order. So why couldn't he just give us a reservation when I initially called? read more

Brooklyns best is completely genuine and offers real Italian food. Having traveled around large parts of Italy, something about this place really does remind me of the many restaurants I've eaten at in Italy. They have a changing menu, and I was able to try their pizza, grilled zucchini, arugula salad and grilled sea bass finished with white wine. Everything was excellent, and at bargain prices. They do not serve alcohol but they told us we could bring our own bottle of wine to go with dinner, which is awesome. I saw that there were homemade desserts, which I have totally added to my list and will have to try sometime. I would advise calling ahead of you have your heart set of eating there. There is literally one table and like 4 barstool window seats. I saw them have to turn down multiple groups just because there wasn't room. I hope they utilize the space and arrange a few smaller tables, as I think they could totally accommodate it! I hated seeing them lose the business since it was so good! We started off with homemade mozzarella and tomatoes with an awesome imported Soppressata and balsamic reduction. We decided to share an entree of eggplant parmigiana. The pasta was sauced perfectly and the eggplant was the best I've had. We overheard Frank describing his goal to keep things fresh and simple. He has hit the mark. We were treated at the end to a taste of amaretto gelato which was as good as any we had on a recent trip to Florence. Prices were reasonable and we are looking forward to our next visit. We read an article in the local paper introducing this new restaurant. It sounded interesting and we decided to try it. I called this am and asked if we could reserve 1 of their 2 tables. The owners said of course. He said the restaurant is BYOB. We arrived for our dinner. The menu was presented orally with lots of choices. It was suggested we share a 4 course dinner as the portions were large. Perfect. We had an arugula salad with tiny heirloom tomatoes,colossal black olives and a wonderful dressing. Next course was a caprese salad with more wonderful tomatoes and mozzarella and bacon. The next course was the best spaghetti and meatballs I have ever had. Dessert was a small but delicious cannoli.
