Among the best pizza in Pittsfield, hands-down. Second, they have an online ordering site, thank you god. Haven't ordered from Dominos, Pizza hut, or Papa John's since. When I'm feeling antisocial (most nights) and want to order something (some nights) I go here. One very random experience: I apparently ordered take-out when I wanted delivery from their site. Right as they closed they gave me a call about it. I told them I really thought they were bringing me my food and he told me it was a take out order. I had waited about an hour and felt like I was screwed out of getting my food. Instead he asked for my address. I think I saw a kid in the back of the car, the guy went out of his way to bring me my food that *I* screwed the order up on. I tipped him $10 and thanked him. Liberty Pizza is not fancy or fine dining but has the charm. They have friendly people and food made to order, which is a cut above fast food. I enjoyed my meal but wished I had ordered a calzone to give it a try. There will be a next time for Liberty Pizza. As moderately priced, good food that is ready is positive. I normally don't visit Pittsfield often but will go back to this place the next time I'm in town. read more

The place looks like a pit... from the outside and inside. The benches at the booths are all torn and nasty looking. The floor looks filthy and there are at least 15 people "hanging out" in the kitchen. We had a $10 off nift coupon which they wouldn't honor because they said they "don't have a contract with them" so that was disappointing. Had we not had the coupon I would not have stepped foot in the place. It was also VERY cold as the people hanging out in the kitchen were in and out of the front door. Sounds like they're planning for tomorrow... they are anticipating big business because the Super Bowl is tomorrow. Having said all that... the pizza was good. I wouldn't go out if my way for it but it's good. If I were local I'd consider getting a pizza here.... Just not eating it in house! read more

We got delivery for lunch... very pleasant staff on the phone we decided to try the paninis and curly fries. Very good value of food for the price. They gave us huge paninis and a generous serving of curly fries wrapped in foil so they were nice and crispy...they were delicious and with the coupon we got two cans of soda free.. bonus!! We've visited Liberty to eat many times, but have come to appreciate it even more since the Covid-19 outbreak. The food is fresh, hot and delicious, portions are amazingly plentiful. Staff are terrific, polite, friendly and helpful. Would recommend this eating place to everyone. Especially try there Grilled chicken pitas or their grilled chicken salads. Pimo! I popped into this little pizza joint for a small lunch: a couple slices of pizza and a soda. One can never really know how large a slice of pizza will be when ordering sight unseen, so I usually order 2, just to be cautious. It kinda bites to order and then be disappointed by a small little sliver of pizza. Well, no worries here. A single slice would probably be enough for a small lunch. The pizza style reminded me of another Detroit pizza place that has a Roman Emperor wearing a toga as a mascot. It's good acceptable pizza. There was plenty of cheese on the slices and the dough had a very crispy crunch on the bottom. The cheese was a cheese blend, most likely mozzarella and Muenster and the sauce was pretty good. It was clear that this place had a TON of regulars. Most people were greeted by name; both the ones that came in and those that called in orders. The service here was great and that more than makes up for pizza that is not "haute gourmet". Of course, one isn't paying gourmet prices either. My lunch was $7 for 2 slices and the soda and the pizza was served piping hot. read more

This is some goooood pizza! Just the right amount of sauce, AWESOME gooey cheese, and a nice crust. The crust wasn't necessarily thin, but it wasn't real doughy. I like the cheese and toppings to be the dominant taste (not the dough) and they did that well. There one topping pizzas are VERY reasonably priced, like $12.50 for a large with 12 slices. The "gourmet" pizzas can start getting pricey and cost about $5 or $6 more. I ordered a large (16") pizza and did half Liberty/half pepperoni. The pepperoni half was amazing, but the Liberty half was plain good. The quality of the toppings were very good, but I felt the Liberty half suffered from a cheese shortage. It's too bad I live on the west coast and was just visiting, or I'd be ordering a large pepperoni every week from this place. NOTE: I wouldn't recommend eating there. No air conditioning, no bathrooms, tiny water cups, and they use really, really cheap napkins that they give out very, very sparingly. Also, they don't have beer. =( read more

My boyfriend and I order delivery from Liberty probably more than we should The food is good most times. We ordered the other night and each got a burger and fry meal asking for one burger to be cooked medium well and the other well done. This is the frustrating part- the medium well burger came rare and the well done was medium rare. The fries- inedible!!! They were dark and dry. We both like our fries soft and squishy so when we saw the coloring to be dark we knew they weren't going to be good and they weren't. So basically we paid $25 for 2 rare burgers. Also, if you want ketchup on burger do it at home. Every time we've asked for ketchup there has been SO MUCH on the burger that it drips out with every bite. I had taken a paper towel to wipe it off as it was just sooo much. Ridiculous amounts of ketchup for one burger. We didn't call to complain because it was late and honestly in the past they haven't been very receptive of feedback such as complaints. read more

The lady who runs it is rough as hell, like that guy on Seinfeld who didn't like serving customers their soup, which is why we don't like ordering from her crazy ass. So I decided to go on Yelp and see who actually has the BEST delivery pizza around here, and wouldn't you know it? Liberty Pizza! Always ignored this one and Empire as substandard, but since it was #1 all of a sudden, I was like "Screw Masshole Mary; let's get Liberty!" We call her that because she reminds us of my mean-ass aunt from NJ, but that's not important right now. Listen: another reviewer had said "Liberty is NY style", and that sold me, right there. I got a medium BBQ chicken Hawaiian pizza whatever thing, a Fettuccine Alfredo or whatever noodle thing, a Gyro, and fried mushrooms... No, I did NOT eat all of this by myself, I mean give me a little credit. Now, it came FAST. Faster than Masshole Mary's, and we didn't get yelled at, so that's good. Service is okay by me. The FOOD, though... Sigh... The pizza is good... Not GREAT. The pizza is not NY style. It is not thin, it does not fold, so no. JUST. Stop. Shhhhh... There, there now. Good kitty. Chicken on it was nice, crust had a good flavor, but wasn't the best... Cheese was good. Is it better than Pizza Works, though? Crust, sure! Everything else, not so, sorry matey. A little watery because of the white onions on a HAWAIIAN pizza, and BBQ sauce that you CANNOT taste on a BBQ Pizza. Not bad, not great. Gyro had nice long strips of meat, whereas Pizza Works has little ones. The pita is the same. Masshole Mary gives more lettuce, though. And more sauce. Hell, she gives thin red onions instead of Liberty's liberal use of massive white throat-killing onions, their mealy tomatoes, and their NO feta... Actually wanted to shoot myself by the end of eating it. Mary wins the 2nd round as well. Okay, the Alfredo... My mom had to "doctor it up". She put store-bought pancetta in it, salt, pepper, flavor, her SALAD in it... HER GOSHDARN SALAD! Yeesh... Even her garlic bread was burnt. Pizza Works doesn't have the best pasta EVER, but at least nobody had to ADD to it. Pizza Works wins again! Then there comes the mushrooms, my favorite appetizer of all time... Terrible. Horrible! Heck, HERRIBLE, even! I was expecting crispy light coating with a mushroom that was juicy on the inside, not the freakin' OUTSIDE. Watery mushrooms that tasted the way dishwater smells, with all the leaky badness covered in bready cornmeal batter. NOPE! The rest of the food was okay, but NEVER SHALT THINE SINISTER SHROOMS PROFAIN MINE SACRED PALETTE EVER AGAIN! BEGONE, fungal minion of DARKNESS, and have mercy on my weary soul... Not even sure if the BIRDS want it. At least Pizza Works fries are good and crispy. So yeah... Not great. Gonna give it a 3/5, and then resign myself to continuing getting yelled at while ordering from good ole Pizza Works... I hope she doesn't find out that I wrote this. *shivers read more

Pizza the better option in the area for delivery and wings are okay, but I would not get anything else from here. Turkey is pink, which is such a turn off. Chicken is poor quality. Fries are probably okay if you don't get them delivered, but they are soggy and taste old by the time you get them delivered. Got a pizza delivered the other night. It was a meat lovers and it was so bad, we ended up throwing most of it out. I should have called to complain, but I didn't. Pizza is definitely yummy and the closest to NYC style in this area. Speedy and friendly service. I also tried the eggplant Parmesan sandwich, it was a good value, a huge 12" for only $6.50. I finally gave Liberty Pizza a try last week for lunch. My initial experience did not go too well as the online order did not go through, but the staff was very friendly and put it right in for me. I got an eggplant grinder, and it was very good and loaded up with eggplant. Today I got a veggie pizza and split it with a coworker, and it was quite excellent. It rivals the best veggie pizza I've ever had. The crust was on the thinner side, it was loaded up with fresh vegetables, and the pizza itself was not particularly greasy in a way that does not sacrifice on flavor but I didn't feel like I couldn't move after eating it, which was a plus. I'll definitely be throwing this into my rotation. read more
