In the past 30 years, I've spent over 80 grand on my teeth. Some good Dentists and some bad. PROBLEM : most Dentists can fix most problems; however when a Dentist screws up; very few Dentists can resove the issue ! also around 25 years ago, I had the bottom of a tooth knocked out. It got infected was repaired but had problems ever since. One Dentist gave me an Apicoectomy, then a few months later on the same tooth, a root canal and a crown, then charged me 4 grand. A year later when the tooth fell out, he told me that I'd have to give him another 4 grand for an implant. Those were the last words he ever had a chance to say to me ! So I have a tooth missing in my front, and now the gap has closed, and 3 Dental Implant Specialists tell me that it's impossible to fit in an implant because the space is too small. They want to remove the tooth next to it and put an extra wide single tooth to replace the other 2. What a horror. So after 3 bad dentists in Manhattan + Long Island, I finally ask my insurance company to tell me the best implant guy they have in Brooklyn. They unofficially give me the name of Dr. Gary Herskovits. This guy has a crack implant team. He's got Dr. Condos on his team, who has been teaching Implants at NYU for 25 years. You don't get better than that ! They were literally able to do the impossible and replace the 2 empty spaces where my 2 front teeth once were, and fit 2 implants instead of just one. To Everyone Who Wants That Perfect Smile, For that Perfect Smile, I changed Dentists a while back and found Dr. Gary Herskovits. What a relief! A Dentist that explains what he will be doing with clear communication and a general feeling of actually caring about me. He could not be any more precise in his discussion of the issues and his recommendations while I am in the chair and after the appointment. I am really pleased with Dr. Herskovits and his entire staff. The office is comfortable, in a safe place and very convenient to transportation. Everyone is extremely competent and professional. It had been a while since I'd been to the dentist and my mouth was a mess. I was so ashamed but they all made me feel very comfortable. We have an excellent rapport and Dr. Herskovits has a wonderful sense of humor. He keeps me smiling. The dental assistants are kind and gentle and so is the office manager. She manages all of the details, so I know exactly what I am doing and I don't have to worry about the small stuff. They are upfront about the finances and they all work together very well. Dr H is an AMAZING dr. Not only is he excellent at what he does, but he genuinely and sincerely cares about his patients! My man and I came to see him in November to address his sleep apnea, and since then Dr H has been with us every step of the way! Which, btw doctors won't do! Once they refer, they take themselves out of the equation and the referred Doctor than takes the reigns. But Dr H stayed with us through the entire process, going up and beyond out of his way to contact all the referral partners we needed to see, stayed in contact with me via text and calls to ask how everything was going, and continued to assist us. And still to date (I went to see him this morning for the second stage of my Invisalign, which again I'm very pleased with) he expresses sincere concern for the wellbeing of my man and I. I highly recommend Dr H if they are looking for a personable and sincere dental experience. And his assistant Vanessa Marino is just as wonderful as he. I do not normally write reviews however I wanted to share my experience. I was up all night with the worst tooth pain I have ever had. The next morning I called Dr. Herskovits office to see if I could get an appointment. The office was not open, but I called anyway. Dr. Herskovits answers the phone, I told him about my excruciating pain and he told me to come right over. Keep in mind the office didn't officially open for another 30 mins. I get there he sees me right away, does the X-ray and tells me I need a root canal. I had an infected tooth, so he gave me a prescription for antibiotics, packed the tooth and told me to come back on Monday. I left his office maybe 20 mins later with NO pain. I couldn't believe it. If that wasn't enough Dr. Herskovits called me later in the day to check on me and to see if I was still having tooth pain. I know people don't normally look forward to going to the dentist but he made my situation soooo much better. I would recommend him to everyone! read more

I needed emergency dental work and I could not find anyone who would slot me in as a new patient. I found Dr. Herskovits through military friends of mine and I gave it a shot. The rest was history, he literally took me out of my mini-depression due to a front tooth that fell off, and talk me through my options. His calm and professional demeanor was evident when he personally felt my anxiety and restored my confidence when the tooth was finally repaired. He did not know me or certain I would ever come back to his office, but he was concerned with getting me the treatment I needed. If you are looking for an experienced, gentle, caring and passionate man in dentistry, I fully endorse this guy. No work too difficult no task he hasn't accomplished. Dr H is the best there is. By far the most personable, helpful Dentist you will ever find, period. He will answer a text and phone call around the clock any time, he is always in contact to assist you in any way possible. His staff make you comfortable from day 1, you never worry going there they take care of you every single time. It is an ultra modern facility, complete with modern appointment schedulers via email and text, which I have yet to see done anywhere else. His work is bar far the best you will get in not just Brooklyn but NYC as well. I was never in pain once, and the finished product always is superb, far exceeding even my best expectations. I go every 3 months for a cleaning and once a year a follow up visit and have my X-ray taken. I can say Dr Gary H is one of the nicest guy in the industry he is here to help and not take my money. He goes the extra mile to make me happy all the time. If you are looking for s honest and reliable dentist that give you a pain free treatment, he is worth a try. While I was getting my cleaning done, there was a slightly mental retarted patient with his mother there, I over heard the situation Dr Gary H treated him and gave him the attention and Paitence which I don't think anyone else would of given this guy, was very impressed the treatment he gave him. Dr. H. and staff at Brooklyn Smile make visiting the dentist as pleasant as getting your morning coffee. I switched to Brooklyn Smile for my dental implant and I could not be happier with the experience so far. Dr. H. took his time in answering my questions. Unlikely many doctors, he actually welcomes questions, enjoys explaining and educating his patients. The wait time is typically better than average and from looking at my X-ray for my implant, it was placed perfectly centered by the oral surgeon. Happy I am leveraging their services and for those that need cosmetic dental work, they do participate with Cosmetic Dentistry Grant Program. It's a no brainer! read more

After previously ignoring a toothache and being subsequently hospitalized, I decided to seek professional, service. My insurance provider could not supply me with an appt for extraction till the following week. Three other places gave me a blah blah blah runaround on the phone. This doctors staff ensured that I could be addressed promptly within one hour. Office/waiting area was clean. The staff was as professional and courteous. Wait time was about 15 minutes. The doctor and tech had great, gentle hands. I received a discount for my service from them to offset my out of network costs. A great experience to end a lousy day. I found them by accident. If you want to get rid of bad breath come check out Dr. H in Brooklyn at 9412 4th Ave he's best in the business I've been going to several different dentist for years and wasn't able to get this under control to say the least but after a few weeks of treatment I'm up in everyone's face lol I also had Cosmestic dentistry done on my front tooth and you can't tell the difference I'm super happy today because I got my smile back, let me tell you about the staff who were exceptional I was treated like royalty, for me integrity is everything and at one point I was overpaying and the staff pick up on it and refund the difference. When someone comes into a Dental office in immense pain, and leaves with absolutely none to speak of, I'd say that it was more then a positive experience. While Dr Herskovits was extremely professional and to the point, he was both friendly and accommodating. My favorite thing about the office is the fact that i am able to schedule appointments super early in the morning. I still came in 30 minutes early and the Dr saw me immediately. I came here with no appointment and in so much pain. Everyone here was so helpful and amazing and the assistant calmed me down so much because obviously I'm a coward at the dentist. He will charge you phony amounts of money and sue you if you don't pay what you don't owe. He completely ruined my teeth and I have daily jaw pain because of his horrible treatment. Hi I went to dr. H for Invisalign and I am very happy with the results. The staff was pleasant and helpful. EVerything was explained and questions were encouraged. It did take some time to get use to the retainers but after a while u forget you even have them on. No one noticed I had Invisalign unless I told them. Dr.H was reasonable with pricing and I'm just happy I finally have straight teeth. read more
