I then asked them "why they told my mother somebody was going to come down when nobody was?", they replied "Somebody else must've talked to your mother, nobody is going to come down" I'm sorry I have to give it one star, but the service was confusing and non-reliable.

Took our vehicle in for a lack of acceleration and a check engine light. The only reason we took…read moreour vehicle in to Tamrox was because they offered a loaner vehicle. Otherwise we would've went to our regular trusted mechanic. They did a full inspection and we were told everything they found wrong with our vehicle. Then they discussed cost to repair said items. We were told changing the 3 coil packs on the back of the engine, and new spark plugs would fix the acceleration issue, they never made any mention that there may be a possibility that this wouldn't fix the issue. Which of course was the case, as the problem still exists today. For $3500 they replaced a rear wheel bearing, 3 coil packs and plugs, and a rear knuckle assembly. The very same day we got the vehicle back the rear wheel was squeaking horribly loud. Well apparently they put our brakes back together wrong so we had to go back and have that redone. Then they checked to see why the check engine light came back on and why it was still lacking acceleration. We were then told it would be another $3500 to replace the catalytic converter and 2 of 4 O2 sensors. Mind you the vehicle is a 2014 Explorer with over 200k miles on it. Had we known the first $3500 might not fix our issue, and we might have to spend another $3500 and it still might not be fixed. We surely would've sold the car as is to a mechanic, or scrapped it. In good condition the vehicle is only worth $6-7k. For comparison sake I asked my regular trusted mechanic what they would've charged for what was done, and it was substantially less. So much so that we could've just got a rental car and still would've had money left over, and I guarantee they would've properly diagnosed the vehicle and fixed it right the first time. You live and you learn, take it from me you don't want to go here, they like to throw parts at the problem, and they don't properly communicate that their idea for a "fix" might not be correct one. Aside from that they are ridiculously over priced compared to their competitors.

My wife recently took her truck to Vulcan Tire to get a set of tires. At roughly 9:45 am, they moved her truck into the work bay and quoted her a price that was higher than what they originally quoted her. She told them that she had to call her husband to decide if we wanted to pay the difference. The manager, Irene wanted her to decide on the spot and told the work crew to pull her truck out of the bay and now she would have to wait for yet a later appointment (mind you, her appointment wasn't technically for another 15 mins). My wife pointed out this fact, but Irene rudely told her that she didn't know what my wife wanted and that my wife was putting them behind. My wife was left standing there in tears. Irene was totally rude. It makes me wonder how much business they lose due to Irene's rudeness. I suspect that Irene the store manager is actually putting Vulcan Tire behind even if it's only in revenue. Bad form Irene; bad form.

I have photo evidence of my original review. My original review was: "Very nasty and disrespectful towards women in the service department. Every time I asked a question I'd receive a condescending answer with a cocked head and scrunched face from frank. Very unprofessional. Now SLEAZY shops could have made up all sorts of issues starting with the ignition coil itself or engine issues and there's no easy way to double check. But these folk were honest and charged, well, I won't say the amount but a very fare price.
