    Hole in hull

    DO NOT BUY A KAYAK FROM THIS COMPANY. We bought a kayak over a year ago and have had nothing but problems ever since. We have taken it out only a half dozen times, and each time there were product issues: The seat straps broke (twice), the mounts for the pedals broke multiple times and the metal pedals themselves wore a hole in the hull of the kayak so it took on water and began to sink as we pedaled and paddled home. Isaac Ashkenazie has been giving us the complete run-around since we first contacted him with our issues. Finally, after waiting weeks and months for replacement parts, parts that kept breaking, and then sinking as we made our way home on our last outing, we decided to throw in the towel and asked for a refund. Isaac refused to give us a refund, offered instead to replace the kayak. When we declined, noting serious design flaws with this kayak...he claimed to have fixed them, offered pictures of the improvements, then never sent, even after repeated requests. We asked to have the trolling motor included as part of the replacement, since one of our issues has to do with the pedal ratio - we can't keep up with our friends in their Hobie pedal kayak - and were told that accessory was not compatible with our model kayak. When we sent a screenshot of the 2 places on the website where they offer it as an accessory, we never heard back. Honestly, I have never been treated this poorly by a business, and I'm frankly surprised that there aren't more bad reviews. The kayak is very low quality and the owners do not care about customer satisfaction. Bad product, horrendous customer service...bite the bullet and pay for the superior Hobie kayak models. We wish we had....

    Flipper screw broke in open water. Not shallow

    Not worth the money. I received my tandem 13.5' kayak scuffed but was excited to have it so I brushed it off. (So did customer service) I have only used my kayak 3 times since having it in a month time frame. Two of the three times something broke with the pedal drive system. One part was the lock to keep it secured in the hull the other was the screw holding the flipper broke in half. I emailed the company upon the first failure and they sent parts to fix, I have not yet received after two weeks. After the second failure I emailed explaining what happened and that I want my money back because stuff keeps breaking. Isaac D in the customer support just shared that's why they have "such a friendly parts warranty". I responded restating I want them to pickup the kayak and I want my money back and have yet to get a response!! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND BUY SOMETHING ACTUALLY GOOD!!

    Broken Pedal Drive Locks

    After even more time with the Kayak I have to lower the rating even further. The kayaks issue are endless with the PK10. My Kayak pedal drive locks broke again and now after my last trip I noticed one of my steering lines is almost all the way chaffed through about to break. I recommend spending your money on the more expensive but worthwhile kayaks that Hobie has to offer.

    The driver was running behind schedule. I told Anthony it could wait until tomorrow if necessary. He said it was ok but he would be late so I might not see him. He asked where me where I wanted him to leave the kayak. Anthony left it right where I asked him to. He went out his way to deliver even though it was late.

They acknowledge that it was their error that they omitted the cover, and they then had the audacity to tell me to buy ANOTHER weapon ($300+) in order to get them to ship the $6 item they forgot to ship. I asked 3 times in writing to make sure that they understood I did NOT want a refund, just wanted them to complete the original order, and they ignored it. So you can be assured that IF they make a mistake, they will not make it right - and that tells you a lot about a business. I'll take my money elsewhere in the future.

I received no notice from Absolute which is not professional on a vendor's part. 2) they recently sent a small order by UPS and since it was an international order the duties and shipping was over 63% of the equipment purchase price. my advice is deal elsewhere, you don't need the aggravation.
