The pizza was nearly tasteless with little sauce and probably 25 tiny cup and curl pepperonis on the whole pie. If there was sauce on it, I could hardly taste it. The crust was airy and cracker-like. The beer selection on draft was good, but this pizza is too expensive to be this bland. If I didn't have a beer that I could taste with it, I would have almost thought I had COVID. The ambiance is non-existent with walls full of signatures, pics of New York, art of a clown holding a Chicago pizza box (?), no music playing and kids running next to my seat. Service was excellent. I was provided ice water while waiting. I opted not to purchase a drink after the steep price tag for my order was tallied up. I arrived shortly after the Mill Creek store opened. Ambiance: Brooklyn artifacts/photos were nice. Place was immaculately clean. Who ever closed last night did a good job. Ordered one slice of a three topping pizza and a calzone. To go. Wait time was 18 minutes. Food was hot and well packaged. The cost of a calzone and one slice was over 21.00. Expensive. The slice: crust was crispy. A noticeable crunch at every bite and while chewing. Sauce was rich but definitely not balanced: the garlic smothered it resulting in an inability to taste the other toppings. I thought maybe the slice had garlic on it. But I tasted the enclosed dipping sauce for the calzone. Same heavy on the garlic flavor. Also, I'm from the Brooklyn area and have never had a crunchy crust pie. Ever. Not thrilled with the slice at all. On the plus: slice size was generous. The cornicione, the raised part of a pizza slice, was defined and I could tell it had ample raise time. Crust flavor was good and I could fold the slice in my hand. It took a bit of doing. The dough was rigid. I checked the undercarriage and it looked perfectly cooked. The calzone: size was slightly smaller than I'm used to but the shape was spot on what you would experience in Brooklyn. The West Coast pizza communities have a calzone perversion - shaping it in various ways. It it unrecognizable as a calzone. This one was spot on. It was cooked perfectly. The cheeses were perfect. Once you've grown up on Polly O mozzarella you can tell the difference. Good flavor. However, any calzone I've had in NY/Brooklyn always included a couple slices of ham. Typically sweet. Not smoked. This calzone had no ham. One can typically order additional fillings. Not at this establishment. So pleasantly surprised at the flavor but disappointed about no ham. The garlic infused dipping sauce was overpowering. Typically a marinara sauce the screams fresh tomatoes and is slightly sweet is used to complement the cheeses. Again: way over the top with the garlic infused dipping sauce. I've been strongly encouraged by my East coast family and friends to voice a pattern with all pizza establishments I've patronized in Washington. That pattern is price. With no exception, the prices have been mind numbing. I know the cost of living here is high. But the prices being charged for pizza or what they call a calzone, is astronomical. People gotta make a living. I understand that. So I'll continue to scout out the pizza joints to do reviews but I'll render my own humble version at home. Do try the calzone. And have some marinara ready for dipping. read more

Here is the problem: #Everett #BrooklynBrothersPizza Called the Police on me after their staffer acted like a jerk -- she had bussed my last bite of pizza and you could see a 3/4 full beer and 3/4 glass of water right next to it and I was right outside the door. Visited this location for the first time as a pit stop on our way to Kirkland. Upon coming in, the place smells wonderful. The decor is very interesting with graffiti on the walls. Tables and chairs are set a little tight if you're more than a group of two. You order in line, cashier gives you a table number, and the employee brings the food out to your table. We ordered a few beers, field greens salad, and three kinds of pizza - margherita, pepperoni and The Bowery. Their New York style pizza is absolutely delicious. The crust is thin with just enough crunch. Next time we visit, we'll make sure to try the other locations as well. It's located in a metro area. Self serve seating. Staff is friendly and pleasant. I hear this is the best pizza in town? They have a few awards inside and from the moment I walked in I heard people asking about their crust. Apparently, they make their crust at an offsite location and a few reviews actually rave about their crust. These slices are thin, crispy and soft just like a NY pizza should be! We were walking by on a hot Sunday afternoon and saw a group enjoying pizza outside and as we strolled downtown we didn't see many people out but we kept seeing some walking by with the same pizza boxes. Right before leaving we saw there were other people here and to have a steady crowd must mean good pizza so we quickly headed in before closing! We went with a slice of The Bowery and The Bay Ridge. The Bowery has pepperoni, Italian sausage, and roasted garlic. The Bay Ridge is topped with pepperoni, mushroom, and red onion. Both slices together came out to about $10. The first bite had a satisfying crunch that shocked us both and was so so good! I see what people mean about the crust! I loved the Bowery the most and ordered it because I saw a delicious looking slice in the window but now looking through their menu online, I will definitely be making an order for more. We went here for lunch before a Silvertips game across the street at Angel of the Winds Arena. We were there for a couple of hours, so I had two slices (a double pepperoni, and a Hudson). Some of the best pizza I've had since I moved away from NY so many years ago. I got a small pistachio cannolli for desert too, and it was also legit. Cool casual atmosphere. If there's a game at Angel of the Winds, you're going to want to show up hours beforehand, because about an hour and a half before gametime, the line was way out the door and down the sidewalk. read more

Man, I can't believe I haven't reviewed Brooklyn Bros Pizzeria!! This place is a must for folks, especially up in the north end. If you love pizza by the slice, this is the perfect spot. I highly recommend ordering the breadsticks with mozzarella- they come with ranch and marinara, they're so good! My favorite slice is the Hudson, but honestly you can't go wrong with any of the other options. This place has outdoor seating and it can get packed inside and out on a Silvertips game night- just a heads up! Side street parking is the move here, so take your time and enjoy! read more

It's pretty disheartening that they took their beverage station away, now they sell bottled/canned beverages and some draft beers only. There's something about having an ice cold soda with your pizza that can't be replaced by a kind of chilled bottle of Coke. Seriously good pizza that kept us full for days! Reheated well at home. We ordered the Sicilian pizza with mushroom after deliberating for a while on whether to get a regular or Sicilian-style. Loved how wonderfully doughy and satisfying the crust was, and the crispy cheese on the sides is heavenly. The sauce was also seasoned really well. Amazing. And the size! Whew! We ended up waiting a bit for our to-go, and when they were loading the pizza up into the box, a piece flipped a bit, spilling some cheese. No big deal, but they immediately offered to toss in a free slice for us, no questions asked. So sweet! Who would say no? So, we got to try the traditional crust pizza as well. I find that their single slices are always crispier than when I order their whole pizzas. Their marinara sauce is to die for!! Whenever I go pick up, the staff is always very nice and gives me updates on when the food would be ready. The restaurant itself is quite big, suitable for both big parties and small. I'm a frequent visitor to the point where they know me by name and practically have my pizza in the oven and a cold beer ready when I walk in the door. That always makes a patron feel welcome! But I wouldn't be a regular if the food and service weren't consistently excellent. The staff are always friendly and they manage the crowds of people who swarm the place before Silvertips games with a military level of efficiency. The architecture of the historic building and graffiti covered walls add to the charm and give you something to read if you're dining solo. Brooklyn Bros is the closest thing I've found to the NY-style pizza I remember from when I actually lived in Brooklyn. It's all in the crust, and theirs is thin and crispy with the right amount of chewy goodness. Parking can be a bit of a pain, even though there's a lot nearby. The parking on the street can be full, so it's best to call ahead and pick up if you can. I recommend the Bay Ridge (pepperoni, mushroom, and red onion) which sounds like something I would eat if I fell asleep on the R train, missed my stop and had to get off at Bay Ridge - 95th. There's lots of pizza to be had in Everett. Brooklyn Bros is among the cream of the crop. read more

Everett WA. Ordered take out and told 25 minutes. Showed up in 10 and it was ready 5 minutes later. I always do that because the timing is never right and I don't want my pizza sitting under a warmer for 10 minutes. Glad I did. Pizza topping were pretty good, not really plentiful, but tasty. The crust is better right out of the oven and the foldability of the slice was below average. Still could fold but more of a cracker crust than a chewy one.
