Aaron recently came out and diagnosed my refrigerator. This was after a week of me waiting on my…read morehome warranty company ( Choice Home Warranty). My fridge died on the 28th of December. Choice told me they would have a tech ordered in 24 hours. And then daily it was a "soon" thing. Aaron gave me an appointment 3 days out. He diagnosed my fridge in 15 minutes. Wrote a report and even submitted it to my home warranty company for me. ( above and beyond). Then they came back days later with, we want photos of the leak. By then my fridge was gone, replaced and the leak was in an inaccessible part of the fridge up in the sides of the fridge, encased in foam insulation. Not repairable and not accessible. In any event. There are a lot of RV-related businesses in this area of the world. Unfortunately many are a joke…read more They're rude, or they're extremely expensive, or they're rip-offs. Often they're all three. We needed work done on our old Pace Arrow, and an acquaintance strongly recommended this business. I gave a call and spoke to Ryan for a while. He was very courteous and knowledgeable and willing to answer our questions. I didn't feel rushed or condescended to, or treated like I was some ignorant RVer who knows nothing about my rig. The truth is, I *don't* know much about our old rig or its myriad workings. It didn't matter to Ryan; nor did it to Harold, whom I spoke with in a subsequent call. That was very important to me. I've had many dealings with mechanics of all stripes, and I can say categorically that most are asses. They'll talk down to you; and then, because you are ignorant about carburetors or fuel injection or seals or brakes or what-have-you, take great delight in ripping you off. That didn't happen with Harold and Ryan at Brookings Harbor RV. We made an appointment with them; they consulted with us for free (Harold actually came out to take a look at our rig and answer questions, free of charge!), and then, with the appointment, did a wonderful, efficient, and friendly job. We're very, very pleased with their professionalism and honesty. Businesses are like people. Most suck. Which makes the good ones stand out even more. When you find a good business--one whose owners and employees truly care for their customers or patrons, you hang on to them, and you recommend them. Brookings Harbor RV is one of those good businesses. We'll be calling them the very next time we need our old girl looked at.

I contacted Gary with questions concerning my old Omni awning. I live in Alaska, so having him come…read moretake a look at the part in question was not a possibility. We determined what type of awning it was, and what it would take to replace the fabric on the awning. At ONE time, he instructed me that if I wanted to order the fabric to call him at the office. Upon me sending him an email and politely asking if he could also provide parts for said awning, this is the reply that I received: "Sorry no. I requested you CALL ME with questions. You continue to email with questions. I cannot work that way. Please stop contacting me. Gary Smith" This is the reaction from a total of 8 emails over a 1 year time frame. The way in which he handled everything, and the fact that he did not just say, "I prefer to do business over the phone." Has helped me decide to simply order a new awning through amazon. This day in age, I try to go through small mom and pop shops type businesses, but simply will not give him my business now.
