Firstly, I'm a researcher before I ever step foot anyplace. I did a quick read up on this first and…read moreit was my pleasure to fine on generation who bought the farm in '95 had recently sold to a new family, looking to give the farm an opportunity to raise another generation and keep agriculture alive. Pulling up on a fall day, it is quite literally pretty as a picture. We actually walked to pumpkin patch however you CAN take a tractor ride (you can bet we took one back). There is such an abundance of varieties that it felt like every few feet I was finding a new one that I HAD to take home. Which, resulted in a VERY full wagon. While getting onto the tractor, you're helped to place your pumpkins inside for their ride back to be paid for and taken home. I'm a NY native with the gift of gab, and the gentleman giving us the ride was very genuine and seemed so truly happy to be doing what he was doing. So I had to ask- "are you the new owner?!" With a smile he told me yes and I complimented him and wished him the best of luck on this endeavor, I truly find it SO satisfying when I find people giving life to agriculture. While placing our pumpkin babies in the wagon to pay, I dented on. He very kindly followed us and insisted it be free. I couldn't help but then spend MORE money, so we purchased three mums. A overflowing wagon of pumpkins and three HUGE mums, only $88! What a pleasurable time, what a reasonable price, and what lovely people to be giving my money to. Please consider Brookfield on your pick-your-own adventure!

Summer's Farm is a huge place and perfect for kids to go to during the fall/ Halloween time. I don't particularly like this area because it's always so many bees and also slim picking depending on when you go. Beyond that they have several activities for kids to do and you could stay for hours with different photo ops, the petting zoo, the big bounce area, the zip line, tug of war, the goat race and many more. They even have fireworks on select nights. The place is pretty big and we can never finish everything in one day because it's a lot of walking lol. Nevertheless it's well worth the money , customer service is good, and it is a lot to do. I would recommend taking better care of the petting zoo because it really wasn't kept as well as I would've liked it to be. Side note: There was an incident in which an elderly woman fell while I was there. I would like to commend the staff for how much care and support they gave her to make sure she was OK.

Fun day out in beautiful almost fall weather!…read more My friend and I came for their Teacher Appreciation Weekend event. The general admission charge was waived for teachers and one guest. That was quite generous! Parking was easy and plentiful. Included in the freebies was six pick your own blooms from their sunflower field or zinnia patch. The farm is filled with activities for kids to explore such as jumping pillows, mega slides, rope mazes, and flying pig zip lines to names a few. There are other things adults can partake in such as the corn maze (short and long paths), corn hole, and of course the wagon ride to the pumpkin patch (not ready when we were there) and the sunflower fields. We didn't eat, but there's a barnyard grill, pizza, kettle corn and apple cider donuts for sale. We missed the scheduled pig races. It was a fun day in the sun.

Other activities included: hay ride , pumpkin bowling, pillow bounce, truck sand pit, basketball toss, football toss, baseball toss, lots of different slides, duck races, pig races and more . They also have animals to see : chickens, goats (and a goat walk), donkeys, ducks, pigs, sheep, and alpacas. They also have tractors you can climb all over. Prices were reasonable for the amount of stuff available. They also have classes for children to learn about how pumpkins are grown and a fun story time session. What could be better ? - some of the games need new balls- as some are worn out and old. They also have a pizza barn, beverages (soda, water), and kettle korn.it would have been nice if they had burgers , hot dogs or sandwiches- but some of that was closed on Friday. Views of the mountains and valley are amazing! Great fun for the family- check them out ! ( Seasonal )
