Most recently I came here for a holiday market in December with vendors selling local goods, live music, fire pits and a dop pizza brick oven food truck vendor. The wine is delicious and reasonably priced. They have a small amount of seating indoors and plenty of outdoor seating. What's better than cozying up near a fire pit with a glass of wine on a winter day! Especially with the Mountain views you get at Catoctin breeze!

We checked out the horse, cat, chickens and Nigerian pygmy goats before going inside. Oh my goodness, the goats were so adorable. The younger goats were chatting with us lol;) The gift shop had so many cute items. Pictures/decor, t-shirts, and the main seller, goat foam and bar soaps. There were many wonderful scents to choose from. I picked up a picture for my bathroom, two bar soaps, pink lilac and willow which was my favorite, and my second favorite Spring rain, and a tshirt (very soft). The owner was sweet and helpful. Her dog was adorable;) Check out was fast and easy. And the farm is so pretty! If you are looking for some unique gift items or some nice soaps for your home I suggest you check it out!

Hubs and I popped in for a tasting; $5 for 5 pours, and there is a solid two page list to choose from. The company has it broken down in an easy to understand driest to sweetest. Our host was delightful and very knowledgeable about the wines, which were Devine. Hill Billy Red and Cove Mountain were my favs, but there wasn't a bad pour to be had. Hubs swears by Marachel Foch and Just that Simple. We both followed up with a glass before leaving. A must visit if you love wine and are in Gettysburg!

We did not even know there was an…read morehistorical society in town, but as we are history buffs, when we saw the sign we decided to stop in and I am so very glad we did. I had a bit of a hard time opening the door - seems it sticks - but the sign said it was open, and when someone inside heard me trying to get in, they opened the door for me. If you go, and the door sticks, give it a good strong push! We were given a lovely the tour of the building where we learned about the history of the town and the building as well as about their genealogy archives. If you are looking ancestors from PA, perhaps these folks can help. It's quite a large collection and the archivist keeps the records up to date. Being close to civil war battlefields, the city has had plenty of brushes with the war. Civil war fans will want to stop here, and probably do. Whether you know about the town, or you do not, you should make some time to stop in and speak with these folks. They love what they are doing, and have good information on the part this town played in history. There is a small gift shop there and, if you appreciate the work they are doing to preserve history, leaving a small donation would be a very thoughtful gesture, although one is not required to visit. They are happy to help.

We went today to get our tree after having a bad tree from a different farm. The hill is an easy…read moreclimb and they provide a cool tree hauler to pull your tree back. We gave them three stars because if you are looking for an experience, this isn't for you. There is no needle shaker, but they do bind it. They don't have a tractor going around to pick you up and haul you to the car. They don't have tree bags or the special mix to put in the water to extend the life. There are no special kid areas. Their trees are right priced and decent so far. They had wreaths and roping. So it wasn't bad, but it wasn't spectacular.
