The service is always friendly and the food is always delicious. It is located on the Ohio river and has a wonderful view with very little street traffic. It was a bit chilly for outside the day we went, but had we come here in warmer weather outside would have been a must. The restaurant was well appointed, I guess it could be called "casual fancy". We did not feel out of place in jeans and flannel shirts at lunch. For dinner I would suggest business casual. The dining room was a bit stuffy temp-wise, but the weather outside was having a hard time making up its mind!!!!! Our server was great. Very knowledgeable on the menu and all things local. Prompt and on point The food though, that is the highlight, as it should be. My wife ordered the Lobster Roll with house made Broccoli Salad. This was a ridiculously inexpensive $17! Not only that, but when her plate arrived there were TWO lobster rolls. I would have expected to pay double-and-a-half for what she had on her plate anywhere else. She loved the lobster rolls a lot. I am no fan of mayo so I had to forego the Lobster Rolls as they only offer New England Style. I do wish there was a Connecticut Style option! I had the Chicken parm Sandwich with fries, and it was very good. I do wish they served fresh cut fries. Just a preference for me especially in a chef lead dining establishment....last thing I want to see is frozen fries Overall, we were both very happy with our lunch here and would definitely return.

This is a rustic and relaxed style of restaurant, and the steaks are impeccably cooked and they are quite delicious as well as the side dishes. Check the hours as they're not open every single day and you might want to call to check and see if you need a reservation before traveling from a distance. Pro tip: TRY THE PIE!!! The staff here are super friendly and often check back on their tables as would be expected. A nice touch is the great hospitality provided here, which sometimes in a busy big city restaurant is not quite as nice as what you get here. These are really great people. The restaurant is nearby salt Fork State Park, so if you're visiting or staying there, Bears Den can easily be a welcome treat that you will talk about for years to come.

I have to say those were the best carrots I've ever had in my life. Steak was perfect delicious, seasoned perfectly. A neat place to visit and I will definitely come back again.

Drinks are extra, and there's also a small $1-2 supplemental fee added on, which felt a little odd since it could probably just be included in the buffet price. The food itself is very classic home-style comfort food with lots of options. Nothing super fancy or out of the ordinary, but everything tasted fresh and the buffet was constantly being refilled every few minutes. We also got the iced sweet teas, which seemed to be really popular since almost every table had one. One unique thing -- the entrance and exit are through the gift shop, and you also pay there at the end of your meal, which definitely adds to the old-school country restaurant experience. Our waitress was attentive and friendly throughout the meal, too. Overall, worth the stop for the experience and comforting homemade-style food while visiting Logan.

This place was hopping but somehow everything flowed smoothly. We tried a little bit of everything- chicken and noodles, salad, stewed tomatoes, asparagus, has brown casserole, pie, etc. my husband seemed to really enjoy their fried chicken. They also offer a menu you can order from a la carte. The buffet was so extensive that we ended up sticking with it. I only hold off on the fifth star because some of the food was over salted and/or overcooked (especially the veggies- asparagus, cauliflower, etc).

I received a text to confirm the reservation and the morning of the reservation I got a phone call, wishing us a happy anniversary and confirming our reservation. We arrived early as traffic was lite an we were excited. Upon arrival we were greeted an again wish a happy anniversary and promptly seated by Dottie, the maître D. Dottie introduced us to our server, Joelle and while Joelle got us water, Dottie explained the menu and gave us so many recommendations that we already knew we would have to come back. Joelle returned and asked if we were ready to order. We said no but wanted to start with a dozen oysters. After the oysters arrived Joelle returned and asked about our order. We ordered a 14 oz bone in dry aged ribeye, scalloped potatoes and green beans. While we waited for our meal, Joelle kept checking in on us without hovering. She never let out water glasses go empty and was just perfect. When the steak arrived, it was split table side and served to us individually. The sides were served family style and a generous portion. The steak was cooked to perfection and tender as can be! The potatoes were perfectly seasoned and I think the beans were finished with a drizzle of olive oil that was delicious. Throughout the meal, Joelle continued to check on us and my wife made the comment that she never stopped by when we had food in our mouths. I finally had to comment to Joelle, anyone can bring food from the kitchen to the table, but it takes skill and dedication to be a career waitress and she had it in spades. Though stuffed, Joelle asked about dessert an we asked what they offered. We settled on I think they called it huffmans ice cream, but whatever you call it, we called it delicious. My wife said she would only eat a bite or two. She lied! She couldn't stop eating this perfect balance of vanilla ice cream, fresh raspberries, cherries and a giant chocolate truffle. Oh! I almost forgot, we ordered a bottle of Post & Beam Cabernet Sauvignon. Their wine, bourbon and specialty cocktail selections is fantastic. My wife wants to go back next week. My only warning is to go hungry, and if you are lucky enough to have Joelle serve you, prepare to leave a good tip because she is worth every penny!
