Five-star details: 1. Outstanding Communications. Melissa is always available, including by phone, text, and email. She does what she says she is going to do. We've spoken on the phone & Melissa has a great app which gives you updates and photos of your pet! 2. Genuine Caring. On our most recent trip, the weather got cold. Melissa's team members worked with us to turn on our well heater, ensure our pup was kept warm and cozy, and gave us detailed updates and photos. 3. Going Above & Beyond. Melissa called me about the cold weather to alert us in case we didn't know it was going to be below freezing and to ensure our pet was fully taken care of. Her team actually plays with your pet, spends real quality time, and ensures your pet feels loved. They brought our dog extra treats which was incredibly thoughtful because our dog is a senior citizen - and they actually know about dogs so they brought treats that are great for his health as well as being yummy!

We have full confidence that our cat (and our house) are in good hands while we are away. As a bonus, our cat LOVES all of the sitters ;)

If they're this careless about something as obvious as keeping toxic smoke away from dogs, what corners are they cutting when no one is watching? I would never risk leaving my dog here. There are far better facilities that actually prioritize the health, safety, and comfort of the pets they're paid to protect. This place is a hard NO for any responsible pet owner.

Overall, prices are extremely reasonable and competitive with other animal care facilities in the greater Austin area, but honestly I've tried quite a few places and it just feels like you get *more* at Hounds Town. The staff clearly love animals, and their jobs. Everyone is so friendly. I really can't understate the amazing impression I've gotten of this establishment, just from the first day! One of my cats does not do well being put into a carrier so I was really stressed out about having to cart my babies to a boarding location. I decided to try pet sitting and called a few local pet sitters and had to leave messages for 4. Only 1 called back and Stacy's picked up when I called. Stacy and Amy were very nice and accommodating and were able to put us on the schedule starting the very next day (I'm a procrastinator). Stacy came over each day and took great care of my two cat babies and texted me pics for most of the days she visited. She came for an initial visit prior to our vacation to introduce herself, meet us and our pups, and find out their routines. She was extremely friendly and genuinely excited to meet us and out pups. While we were initially hesitant to have someone in our home everyday, as soon as we met and talked with Ginger, all of our concerns disappeared. During our vacation, for each visit, Ginger sent us a long narrative about how the visit went, bathroom info for each pup, how they ate, and issues, and included a collage of 10 to 15 pictures of our pups. This was every visit (3 times per day for 10 days)!!!! When one of our pups got sick, she cleaned it, when one has leaky eyes from allergies, she took care of it. She even hand fed one of our "entitled" pup when he refused to eat with the others like he doesn't when we are home. She went above and beyond our expectations. We will definitely be using Pet Gal in the future. I would recommend Ginger every day and twice on Sunday! She is the best and we were lucky to have her!!!

The fact that when we drive up all I have to do is open the door, let her out and she runs as fast as she can to Lisa tells me how much she loves it and how well she is treated by Lisa, Melinda and her dog friends. When we leave, she stares longingly out the back window as we drive away! I also took her to obedience training on Sunday and Melinda is the BEST!
