Enter Hounds Town. Yesterday was our first day: my boy got a full day of daycare, where he was able to socialize and play with six other dogs around his size. He also got a bath (with a blow-dry and the cutest branded bandana ever, which is perfect for my obsessive dog-mom scrapbook). While I did qualify for their lovely first-visit-free promo this time around, even if I hadn't the price for both of those would have STILL been cheaper than what I usually pay for just his bath. Overall, prices are extremely reasonable and competitive with other animal care facilities in the greater Austin area, but honestly I've tried quite a few places and it just feels like you get *more* at Hounds Town. The staff clearly love animals, and their jobs. Everyone is so friendly. I really can't understate the amazing impression I've gotten of this establishment, just from the first day! My boy came back to me relaxed and happy, with no signs of stress or anxiety. They've definitely earned a regular customer in us.

They are CLOSED!? I was super annoyed. Does everyone who washes their own dog not work during the week or are kid free to come in the evenings? Sundays seem like an obvious day you'd get business. All that aside, I decided I'd give it another try this week. Voila, It's Saturday, here we came! Before we got within 20 feet of the door both my pup and I could hear the dogs tipping and barking. I wasn't sure if I wanted to continue, but we pressed on. (Maybe it was a super fun doggie dance party and they were all excited???) My girl started refusing to go in... again, I should have just turned around and called my groomer. Alas, I did not. When we opened the door we were warmly greeted by a woman who was smiling and kind but whom I could barely even hear over the obnoxious barking and high pitched squealing of almost a dozen mini yorkie and chihuahua puppies. It was NON-STOP. There was another chance where we could have just cut and run, but no. The woman was so nice and I'm a sucker for trying to not offend people, so I smiled and entered the little booth. The tubs are nice and it was pretty straight forward to go hi re out how to use the water sprayer. There's a little harness to keep the dogs from jumping around too much. I felt AWFUL for making my girl stick it out in there with all the noise. I, myself, had a hard time keeping my heartbeat regulated. The yipping was dizzying. There were two towels sitting on the gate that i used and a blow dryer that felt a bit hot but I think you could adjust it? There was no way I could have asked for help because we couldn't hear our own thoughts let alone instructions on how to use something LOL. The brush was wet and dirty from the last use. There was hair in it. Not a huge deal because it's a bit weird to use another dogs brush on your own dog, right? Or they should be clean. Anyway, I feel like it's important to note that all those dogs were NOT customers. As I was checking out I asked why they were there and said "it messed with the ambiance and experience for sure!" I was told they are the owners dogs she is trying to sell. Ha! I told her that I'm sure they could sell them faster if it was nice and quiet in there and they had a lovely wall of photos saying puppies for sale. So, that's it. My review. I hate leaving bad reviews and I'm not sure I'll go back to try and do a good follow up and add some stars: my pup and I were pretty traumatized by it all. Notes: nice lady Should be open Sundays Please clean the brushes? And for the love, it would be awesome to have more of a "spa" experience instead of feeling like we went to the puppy mill. So after seeing the van one day down the street, I started looking into this mobile option. Boy, are we glad we did. Allyssa was amazing, took the time to explain our options, showed us her work area, and got to work. The final result was as good if not better than the brick & mortar we've been too, with much less stress for our baby. We will definitely be using her services again.

We went to a couple of places, one even where you can watch on an app that was closer to us, but when we went to visit the place, we did not like the "vibe" of the place. When we took a tour (just call, and they will let you take a look at the facility before hand) of Paws Landing, we immediately felt great! We had our puppy for an half day "evaluation" with Durenda, which also made us feel at ease. She is marvelous!!! When we picked her up from that, she went over everything she did, and how she thought our puppy would do. They had her in a small yard first and let our puppy feel safe before they had her with the other dogs. I really like too, how they have the dogs separated into "small dogs", " large dogs" and "very active dogs". She has a great team working with her, watching over them, and most importantly taking care of them all day. They will always send you a text and email to confirm your reservation, which is great. They go inside and outside to play all day. If they go "all day" they will get a 2-hour rest, so they get a break from all the fun! But, believe me, when you pick your dog, they will be tired when they get home, which is "good thing"! Pam will send you pictures later via text of your dog, which is great to see at the end of the day. Now, that my dog has gone for awhile, she gets excited when we get there, and she is excited to see Pam and her team when I drop her off. Look no further for a great place for "doggy day care", Pam and her team will take VERY GOOD care of them, like they were one of their own!!!

We love Betty!! I spent the first year of my dogs life grooming him myself...it was an ordeal every…read moretime. The process would take 3 hours and I'd split it into multiple days because neither him nor I could do a full 3 hour session at once. I said all that to say that I wish I would've gone to Betty sooner! I got my dog Beast in 2022 and for some reason it was really hard to find a groomer--no one was taking on new clients. I scheduled my appointment online with Wholesome Doodle, answered a few questions and uploaded a few pics of what I wanted Beast's cut to look like. I was able to get aN appointment fairly quickly. Upon meeting Betty, she felt around for mats and helped me come up with a mat that would be best for Beast. Unfortunately, we had to shave him down pretty low during his first grooming appointment, but that was no one's fault but my own. Things got In the way and I didn't brush him as regularly as I should've and many mats formed. Following the appointment she provided us with a folder with care and maintenance tips for his coat. Betty is highly experienced and will explain everything going into the appointment. She does great with Beast and I recommend her to everyone!
