People walking in off the streets already have a nice vibe and they talk to Eli and other staff, and get what they came for. There are products here for smoking and relaxing. The courtyard, with an amazing mural on the wall, is great atmosphere for events and bands to entertain the people! Right now, as I type, reggae music is wafting through the air, putting me in a better mood! It is very easy to drive by this place in our everyday lives. Check in was easy, our campsite was clear, no bugs or refuse, and it was as easy walk back to he office with the showers and other general store type items. There was wooded space between the campsites - providing a sense of privacy. My only complaint would be those of nature... early in the morning some crows were very interested in what feels like our specific campsite and flying around the trees above it and cawing back and forth with each other. On the other hand, my buddy -who was an Eagle Scout in his youth- was not impressed. We had a primitive style campsite. No electric or water hook up where we were. There was a port-o-potty nearby- but if it didn't meet your standard you had to walk about two blocks to the general store. The showers felt more like hostel showers then camp showers. My take away was that his past camping experiences have been a lot more pampered than I am use to when I camp. I could easily camp here again in the future.

Why would you put someone in a room next to the room that's going to under construction the next morning?? I was exhausted, and I intended to sleep in but even if I didn't, who wants to hear that crap in the early morning in a hotel room??? Judging by the parking lot, there were about three other people staying here, I'm pretty sure they could've put me in a room a little further away from this. Oh, by the way, if you get a second floor room, there are no elevators. I was too tired to stop and look at reviews, I just pulled into the first chain motel that I recognized, thinking that there is a basic standard For places like Econolodge etc., apparently not.

I had to turn it on 62 to make the smell dissipate. It was freezing! It was horrible because the temps were in the 40's and I was fighting a cold. There was no phone in the room. The bathroom was so small, we had to duck between the toilet and shower to open/close the door. The shower was dirty. We were otw out that night during a busy holiday season. We asked the front desk girl where the park and ride area was and she had no idea. The place allows pets. When I walked my girl, there was garbage and dog poop in most areas surrounding the building. When I got in the shower the next morning, the water pressure was horrible and the water, even though turned all the way to the hottest, was lukewarm at best. I took a cold shower! That was enough for me. Our trip was supposed to be through New Year's Day. We spent one night, then decided to cut our trip two days short and head back home to south florida. Who wants to spend new years totally uncomfortable? What a disappointment this place was. We will definitely not be back!

Desk guy seemed more interested in appearing cool than delivering great service but we all survived. The room was as you might expect in an older building. Uneven flooring, the vinyl planks were failing. The lights were outfitted with cool white bulbs which gave more of an interrogation vibe than a peaceful vibe. There were loose tiles in the bathroom and a rusty old base of something in the shower that was shedding metal shards. The cleaning products they use have a harsh smell but hey, it was clean. Nice beds. Cute outdoor smoking deck on the second floor. All in all, a pleasant experience. Just don't expect the Hilton. And if highly scented cleaning products bother you, this isn't the place for you. But you can't beat the location. Just beautiful.

Never have I ever stepped foot in such a shabby, disgusting place in the ghetto as this. There were literal burn marks in the covers, indiscernible stains in the carpet and upholstery, and I could hear our neighbor slapping a woman and her yelping in protest. They told me no other rooms were available and because I had set foot in my room for less than 15 minutes they refused to refund my first night so I left with the stench of that room clinging to my clothes. I should have gotten a clue to how horrible my experience would be and just cancelled my booking altogether when I called the hotel beforehand to modify my booking and ask the receptionist what their hurricane plans were when the girl on the phone was short and rude but I let it slide because I know how terrible customers often are. Needless to say, I have a dispute pending with my credit card company for that first night.
