Let me start by saying the only reason this place gets 4 stars is because it's a BBQ place in…read moreStockholm. As a guy who spends weekend smoking brisket and pork butts, getting BBQ out is usually disappointing in the states, let alone Sweden. I was either very homesick or super curious about what Swedish BBQ would be like. In hindsight it was a little of both. Ordered a cocktail and the BBQ sampler. Cocktail was fine. The menu is littered with sweet cocktails like many restaurants. Was hoping for something boozy but that's not to be found. The sampler was good overall. Portions were sufficient but certainly small by American standards. Not sure that's the appropriate frame of reference but it is smaller. Highlights/ Lowlights - let's start with the key differentiator of good BBQ, brisket. The brisket had good bark and was smokey but no smoke ring makes me think it was liquid smoke. It was cooked well but a cardinal sin was committed. The brisket was cut in the wrong direction making it stringy. - variety of sides and veggies were nice. Pickled items were good. Potato salad was unevenly cooked. - cornbread tasted good but fell apart in the hand -BBQ sauce and chipotle sauce were nice. BBQ didn't quite fall into Texas or KC style. It was thick but had a sweet and sour taste. Not bad but not Texas. - ribs were rough. Short little ribs that were over cooked. They weren't baby back. Just the small end of spare ribs. Or maybe they were cut. - fried chicken was good. It was thigh meat cut away from the bone. Tasted good but if you're looking for a traditional fried chicken, you'll be disappointed. - sausage was actually the highlight of the whole meal. It had a crispy skin and good flavor. Was almost like a Chinese sausage. All in all a good experience. Not the best BBQ in the world but certainly good for being in a Nordic country. Would recommend it if you keep and open mind about where you are.

This bar/restaurant offered me a small piece of Austin during my travels. I can say I didn't eat here because I typically avoid American dining while traveling aboard. My husband and I did, however, enjoy a drink so we could take in the Austin scenery. My husband ordered a Texas Amber beer and I ordered a local cider. Overall a cool place and would recommend all to check it out.

Very exciting, hype place to be to watch a game, and the drinks here are both reasonably priced (in fact, very cheap actually) and diverse. There were so many draft options, ciders, shooters, etc. and the beers I had were all decent. Our group also ordered some fries, and they were A+. Definitely recommend if you're looking to have a good time with some friends.

The beer and wine is cheap and good (minus the stor stark, but for 29 kr you shouldn't be allowed to complain, really). If you want to go out with friends and have many drinks in a chill atmosphere, it's not a bad choice. It's a GREAT choice, however, if you don't want to wake up the next morning upset with how much money you spent. I imagine it's also great for pre-gaming, in case you REALLY don't want to just go to system and get drunk at home. As far as food is concerned, I've only tried their snack combo plate (149:-). I wasn't expecting much, to be honest. What arrived was a massive plate full of buffalo wings, jalapeno poppers, mozzarella sticks, onion rings, celery, and some dipping containers with blue cheese, salsa, and sour cream. I couldn't finish it all due to its size, although that's expected considering it's supposed to be shared (hahahah). Nothing impressed me, and I actually found the wings a little disgusting (on the mushy side). The other items were crispy and greasy just how I imagine they would be at a sports bar. If you like this kind of fare, then by all means have a go. Bottom line: Go to have some beers/wine (avoid cocktails- they don't taste very good and are small for the price), share a combo plate, and move on.

We had just arrived that afternoon and were walking around our hotel to look for an early dinner. The dining room is lovely but not too stuffy or formal. We ordered the brown bread for starters, along with some wine and beer. I ordered the Arctic char (parsnip, chili, hazelnuts, browned butter and a soy glaze) and Paul G. went with the meatballs (hand-rolled and with cream sauce, mashed potatoes, lingonberries and pickled cucumber). We had the traditional Swedish meatball dish a few more times during the trip and they all came with the same components, but Bistro Bestick's was my fave. The sauce was heavier, velvety and creamy, and the potatoes were oh so fluffy. The berries were tart and fresh. I loved my fish, too... the hazelnuts, brown butter and soy were such a bright, unexpected combination. I enjoyed every bite. Don't sleep on dessert here! I couldn't even finish my dinner but still wanted to try the chocolate rum cake (salty caramel sauce, roasted peanuts, vanilla ice cream and crispy sesame) and what a delightful flavor explosion! It was beautifully presented and the sesame "cracker" on top was the perfect contrast to all the sweetness. I'd highly recommend BB!

We were hungry and just wanted a decent dinner prior to going out that night. Dining here was one of the best decisions during our time in Stockholm. The meatballs were absolutely amazing and one of the most memorable meals of my life. The presentation of the dishes was also impressive. We came here tired and left satisfied and ready to explore Stockholm nightlife. If you're in Stockholm, visit this restaurant and try the Swedish meatballs.
