The first thing we tried was the deep fried pickles, which I thought was awesome - yet that was probably the worst thing we ended up getting. The stew is frankly amazing. It's like a barbecue gumbo (but better than that sounds). It's so meaty, and yet the broth itself is this rich liquid which is like the essence of barbecue itself. It came with the best cornbread I've had outside of the United States (although I come from the UK which basically takes the opportunity to mess up cornbread every time I've had it). The pulled pork croquettes were also stand outs, as was just the overall service. Super friendly, and just chatting but in an unobtrusive way. Even though we were completely stuffed, we ordered the banana pudding. This was a very good choice, but I have to say that it's only the second best I've ever had. The first is Magnolia Bakery in New York, so frankly it's still quite the compliment!! Just so good. If I was in Stockholm longer, I'd be tempted to come back.

The parm burger (a temporary special) was a bit too acidic, but definitely has some nice flavors. The fries were delicious - and quite a good portion size. The Mac and cheese was also good but not quite cheesy enough for me, so I'd definitely opt for the fries next time too. The restaurant is small but cozy. Hopefully they'll add some hooks soon though because there wasn't anywhere to put your coat. All in all, this is a great place for a drink and/or meal - I'll definitely be back!

Regardless of what you order, a complementary basket of breads and butter is served. The food took around 20-25 minutes from order-to-table. Judging from the food freshness, quality, taste to the attentive service and cool ambiance, Paul's has really made a strong first impression. I can't wait to go back and try other delicious dishes, because that menu has nothing I wouldn't like to eat.

Als bekennender Hard Rock fan gebe ich natürlich 5 Sterne! Auch wenn die Hard Rock Hysterie ein teurer Spass ist und eigentlich eh alles gleich ist bis auf die Souvenirs! Wenn man meint man findet das Stockholmer Hard Rock im Zentrum der liegt leider völlig daneben! Solltet ihr gerade in der Altstadt sein und im Warehouse ein Bier trinken und eure Gedanken schweifen zu Hard Rock dann verschiebt diese Planung lieber auf morgen, denn ohne Auto ist das nicht zu schaffen! Most importantly: the burger. It's perfectly cooked and juicy. You can tell the patties are handmade, and it makes a total difference. The burger includes lettuce, tomato, and caramelized onion. I had a burger with bacon my first time, and really loved it. But honestly, I loved even MORE just the plain burger. Everything tastes amazing together and the slightly toasted but still soft bun was to die for (I'm a huge bread fan, ok). The fries have an exciting concept. I love the fact that you can choose toppings for your fries for free, to heighten the experience. I've tried both the shoestring and the regular fries, and both were perfectly done. They aren't cheap with the toppings, so you don't have to ration them out. The dipping sauces are super tasty as well. I haven't tried them all, but I really love the spicy smoked tomato mayo. My friend actually loved the fries so much she went back 7 hours later before she went back home after visiting me. I'll definitely be a regular at this place!

The burgers come with fries but it is also possible to ask for a salad on the side. We actually went for one with salad and one with fries and split those. Was a good choice as there was a lot of fries. The patty that arrived was not really medium as they said they make them but it was still extremely juicy and flavorful. The egg and truffle burger was very good, although if I need to find a fault with it I would say it could be more truffle taste. The royal with cheese is a good cheese burger. The side salad was pretty good, a lot better than many burger places salads and the fries were also very good. So how does the burger compare to all the other burger joints popping up around Stockholm? It is not the best burger I had but it is definitely among the better ones. This is also more of a 'restaurant' burger than a 'fast food' burger so to me it more competes with the likes of Flying Elk and Oljebaren rather than Flippin, Käk and Svenska Hamburgerköket and as a restaurant burger it is one of the better in Stockholm. I would hold it above both Flying Elk and Oljebaren and also price-wise it is better as it is around 140 SEK (139 for the royal and 145 for the burger of the month). I will probably be back a few times but if I really feel the need for s burger I would probably still head to Svenska Hamburgerköket instead.
