We waited to give our name and was told it would be at least a half hour wait, I said that's fine and we went into the bar for a drink. We were given a buzzer. I went to taste a beer and in no more than 5 min I got a message that our table was ready.... Great news. Adam was our waiter who took great care of us. He was patient and educated us about the menu. I ordered the roasted salmon over couscous which was delicious. My wife had the halibut fish n chips which was soo delicious. Our friends ordered the fish tacos which were amazing and the Halibut burger which they both enjoyed! Everything was amazing and delicious!

Besides this, everything else was great so I did not deduct any stars. Let me explain. We were a party of 4 and just arriving from NY, we were hungry. We walked in at about 4:30-4:45. We asked for a table for 4. We were told the wait will be over an hour. They asked if we would like to sit at the bar area, same food and probably would get service quicker. I said sure. We both want to look for a table and there were none, so I just told the staff that we will go to the bar area and wait while having a drink. We were given a buzzer. We came across a Maria bar table with a nice couple sitting there, and 2 open seats. I asked if we could sit there and they said of course. They then Deb moved over 2 seats arguing gave us 4 seats. I was do thankful for them being so nice that I picked up their bar tab. I noticed that the dining area has at least 5 open tables for 4 and 1 for 6+. I went up to the desk and told them this. I was told they were fit reservations and I couldn't have a table. Long story short, 45 min went guy and there were still open tables, I E's not happy and let them know. By this time though, our waiter Marco cans over to us and said he would take care of us, which he did. I told the front desk to forget our table and have them the buzzer back. ** My review starts*** Marco was a great waiter taking excellent care of us. We had a great time with Marco and our new friends next to us. I ordered the halibut stuffed with crab which was outstanding. My wife ordered the salmon which was delicious as well, I particularly enjoyed the crispy skin of the salmon, yum!!! Our friends ordered the fried calamari which he enjoyed and his wife had the salmon over a Ceaser salad. To finish it off, I had to get the lava cake for dessert.....hey, why not, I'm in vacation lol! Everything was great, the food delicious, Super Marco s the best!!! Great service and a great time. Enough to keep seeking new ones out but even then that wouldn't last too terribly long and especially if I lived there. Midnight Sun Brewing is one of the Alaskan ones I tried a while back and I felt that the beer I had was very solid and enjoyable. In fact Alaska in general thus far I have enjoyed the breweries there considerably. The beer I had from this brewery was the Panty Peeler which is a Belgian Tripel. A good beer for sure and is a good pairing with fish and chips or a burger. Flavor highlights with this beer are sweet, strong and fruity but all in a well balanced way. The beer goes down smooth and is light bodied. A good beer to start for me with this brewery. I'd loved to try more of their beer options. Love the brewery's swag and have a t-shirt or two and would love to score a hoodie that I had my eye on but it was out of stock so I'll try back later.

This brewery blocked me on Instagram…read more Before I headed there last night for a dear friend's birthday and I wanted to check to see if there would be a foodtruck. They kept not coming up in the IG search results...weird. I initially was worried they went out of business because it said their IG page was down. I warned the birthday girl that maybe that had suddenly closed and joked "unless I'm blocked, lol" to which she replied "they blocked you!" So weird and so sad. Never in my 267 brewery reviews on Yelp has a brewery blocked me from their IG. (that I know of, lol) My only interactions with them on IG are to re-share their reels so my friends know what beers they have on tap or what food truck is out front. I guess if I had to guess it would be that my 3-star review about their being the only brewery in Anchorage that doesn't allow you to taste their beer first must've struck such a nerve that they researched to find what IG account is connected to my Yelp account, and then blocked me. Really disappointing, I always thought the owner/brewer seemed cool but I guess he has thin skin. Their Anchorage-style Pilsner is still one of the best beers in town, hopefully I'll get a pint tonight. Last night I had a west coast IPA and a Cold IPA. Both were good. The fact that you have 3 different IPAs on tap combined with a 3 drink limit by the state of Alaska...really speaks to why tastes are helpful. Still the worst name of any brewery. It sounds like a Temu beer kit that makes murky booze your friends pretend to like.

The beer was very tasty but pricy for what you get. We really came here to try the pizza because the owner of tent city taphouse told us about it. But of course, there was no pizza cook so there was no pizza. It was really a bummer... I was surprised for how slow it was and the owner being there that no one could whip up a pizza and pop it in the oven... This brewery didn't give me a warm welcome, no pizza, and the seating area is not ideal for multiple parties or very comfortable/private seating. It's doubtful I'll be back anytime soon. I have absolutely enjoyed every time. I have come in and love getting their sour starter pack of bottles. It's a great variety of what they have to offer with some of their greats! The high bush cranberry that they have currently is just fantastic. I know that they just came out with a white stout which they do every year and it's delicious. I haven't had this year but I can tell you from years previously it's one of the best beers of the winter. The place is clean and well kept with a beautiful sitting area upstairs and some fantastic chairs downstairs great place to come sit hang out and enjoy yourself. Did you get food trucks from time to time. Honestly, just talking with the owner makes me so happy and going to any of the events that they have to offer is such a learning experience. I had a hazy IPA brewed with Sabro...which is my favorite hop...and one that barely anyone in Anchorage seems to want to use. It was tropical, creamy, and delicious! The Kolsch was a little buttery though, might need some more time in the oven. The crowd and the vibe here were rowdy and fun.
