Want a local brewery?? THIS is it!! Fantastic little spot for amazing beer and great local people! The owner is an Anchorage local who has been doing this for a while so you know the beers are next level!!! Everything we had was next level! And the company was the best! Go now!!!!

Such a warm and welcoming brewery! Enjoyed trying all the varieties of beer and Gose was by far my favorite! Owner and staff are kind and treat you like family! And each day they are open they have a variety of food trucks that come to pair your beer perfectly with an entree. Their IG is updated to share weekly updates of hours and entrees to pair with!

Visited Brewerks for the first time tonight despite it being dangerously close to my neighborhood. I'm so glad I did! They are located in an industrial area accessible via Arctic Blvd but easily seen when driving over Raspberry Rd. Ample parking is available. Their interior space is bright, clean and industrial. There was one worker the majority of the time we were there. He was welcoming, informative, and conversational. We felt comfortable. We started and ended with their "Dip in the Briny," and we also tried their Belgian. Quality beautiful glassware. All pours were great but the Briny was clearly our fave. AKookies - the newest delicious cookies in town, were there tonight from 4pm-8pm and she was selling out of all her flavors per usual. Follow her on IG to find out where she'll be next. Great experience all around. Highly recommend Brewerks!

My new favorite brewery! I don't know about you guys, but I am pretty tired of the over crowded super loud breweries. Super low key. Fair prices. Big space. Friendly environment. The two ladies working were beyond friendly. We did a taster of two beers and ended up getting the Oktoberfest - which is delicious! My only complaint is the credit card payment defaults you to a tip of: 18% 26% or 30%. What happened to the standard 15%?

I saw that we had a new brewery in town, something that is common now days. I read that Brewerks is the 52nd brewery to open on the 49th state. If you google Brewerks, it thinks you mean Brewerkz which is a popular beer in Singapore. I saw that they had a coffee one so I wanted to come down to try it. We got lost trying to find because it was dark and we didn't go down the right road far enough. On the map it's still a dead end road which it's not. The coffee one was really good, not so dark like some stouts can be. The guy said Shake the Frost is the true stout and the coffee is just a dark one. Next time I would try the stout. We tried the stone sour as well and it was good. More tart then sour which is what you'll find most places. They were both really smooth and pretty cheap, around $6. It was pretty busy as we went on a Friday night at 7. They are only open Friday and Saturday 4-8. They are pretty new but seem to have a good fan base and they seemed to have lots of regulars already. They have a few nonalcoholic sodas and you can buy a bag of chips to eat. I'll keep an eye on their menu and would come back if I saw something. Nothing makes them at d out from the rest except you won't pay a fortune like some of the other guys.

We had an awesome visit at this brewery. The owner/brewer, Chad, is super friendly and ready to answer any questions about his beer. My favorite was the Wick'd Pissah! IPA which he will be canning soon. There were two levels so plenty of space for a group. There was also some outdoor seating under a tent. The place had a super chill vibe. And they rotate between food carts. We had delicious breadsticks at the pizza cart. Can't wait to return! 5 stars

Took snap chats and didn't get any photos lol lame I know!

Awesome new addition to the brewery scene here in anchorage. They did not have flights so unfortunately I didn't get try try everything. I guess that means that I'll just have to come back and I'm looking forward to it! All the beers that I had the pleasure of trying were all done right, customer service was next level and overall ambiance was great! Look forward to my next visit for sure!

One of the best beers I've had so far is A deal with the devil double oaked! This beer is made to enjoy! On the sweet side with a hint of caramel or toffee. A sample since glass is plenty for me! It's never really busy when I stop by so it's usually pretty quiet which makes for great opportunities to talk to staff members. They all are so patient, which is appreciated! They have a way to always suggest the best beer depending on what you are in the mood for. All in all, this brewery is a great place to meet up with friends or family.

Between its sweet, modern vibe, HUGE rooftop beer garden, and delicious options on tap I could easily have spent several hours here tasting my way through the menu. Alas, there wasn't time for a lengthy visit, so I sipped on a pint of their crisp, fresh Czech-style pilsner while gazing out at the beautiful mountains surrounding this amazing city. In cooler weather, they also have outdoor fire pits which looked like a ton of fun. Inside, there was plenty of seating amongst the brewery apparatus. And, while the beer line was long, the staff was friendly and very knowledgeable. This stop is definitely one to add to your beer list when traveling in the area!

I was in beautiful Anchorage and…read morewanted to grab some lunch. 49th state brewing was perfect because it wasn't far from my hotel and because it was so cold outside, I didn't want my walk to exceed 15 minutes. I was really hungry so I got there right when they opened at 11 a.m. I was able to be seated immediately and opted to sit upstairs where the tables were lower as compared to downstairs where the tables were high tops. Off the bat the food is phenomenal. For starters I got their popular handmade Bavarian pretzel. It was perfectly seasoned with butter and salt and the pretzel itself was soft and fluffy. It came with a side of cheese which was just as tasty. I was a little nervous it would taste like the melted cheese you eat at an amusement park- but this cheese had fantastic quality. One really neat thing about this brewery is they make their own fountain drinks! I tried the raspberry one and as you can see they aren't shy about the portions! The drink was really good. It had a great flavor to it, and a nice balance. The raspberry wasn't overpowering which I'm grateful for. For my entree I had the Yak burger that came with a side of tater tots. My waiter recommended I get it cooked at medium to keep it juicy. Typically I'm a medium well to well done type of girl, but I decided to trust his judgement and he was right! The burger was huge, messy, and delicious. The medium was definitely a good call. It was juicy but not so red where it would be off putting! Overall, I had a really incredible dining experience at 49th state brewing. And the prices were unbelievably reasonable. My meal came out to about $52 (not including my tip). I would love to come back when it's a bit warmer and sit outside- the views from the restaurant are phenomenal. Also, shout out to my waiter! I didn't get his name but he was so kind and the service was excellent!

I calculated our meal cost before paying and it was around $5 higher on the bill presented than what it was listed on the menu. Depending on their response will depend on if I'm a returning customer

Midnight Sun is tucked away and a bit off the beaten path and is literally just among warehouses. I also thing it being "panini style" on focaccia bread is a mistake because the bread was crumbly and I wonder if they have it on focaccia to differentiate it from the other sandwiches *shrug* My wife loved her pork sandwich the "Sweet Cheeks". Midnight Sun Brewing is one of the Alaskan ones I tried a while back and I felt that the beer I had was very solid and enjoyable. In fact Alaska in general thus far I have enjoyed the breweries there considerably. The beer I had from this brewery was the Panty Peeler which is a Belgian Tripel. A good beer for sure and is a good pairing with fish and chips or a burger. Flavor highlights with this beer are sweet, strong and fruity but all in a well balanced way. The beer goes down smooth and is light bodied. A good beer to start for me with this brewery. I'd loved to try more of their beer options.
