Loved this Arctic Road winery! Discovered it on a random drive and told my girlfriends we had to try them out! The owner, as other reviews mention, is super cool and sweet. Shes knowledgeable and extremely warm. We loved everything. We sat in the back corner living room with couches and a fire place. Our 5 glass tasting was affordable and came with accompaniments. You can also purchase wine by the glass and bottle. You can make your own wine as well. We can't wait to return. read more

This place was so fun! The owner was very friendly and the interior was inviting. There were many different wine options available and the owner offered to answer any questions or help us decide which wines to try. I went with peach perfection, mulled wine, and the smooth white. All 3 were really good! We brought a cake in to celebrate my friend's bday. Next time I will bring a charcuterie plate to enjoy with the wine. It's so fun to find new things to do in town. Definitely give it a try if you like wine. read more

You have to try this place out. The owner is AMAZING! Very nice, kind, and easy-going. They have great wine she makes onsite, bringing in the grape juice. You can get samples, glasses, or bottles. It is a must stop while in town. read more

Visited 61° North today for the first time. Karla, the owner, spent a great deal if time talking about the various wines they have made and how they compare to other wines. She seemed to really know her stuff! The setting was comfortable- chairs, couches, tables... whatever makes you comfortable. From the outside you might not see it unless you're looking, so pay close attention. Highly recommend this locally owned place. cheers!! read more

we found this winery (not vineyard) when we arrived in Alaska. Had a great time and bought 3 bottles to take with us as we traveled the state. Then came back and bought 13 bottles to bring home . They have some wines in 750ml bags that makes it very easy to transport. Highly recommend a visit!! read more

Specialties

We are an Urban Winery that makes wine from juice kits. We have a tasting room on site. People are welcome to bring their own food, we don't have a kitchen. We offer wine flights, by the glass, or bottles to go. People can also make their own wine kit with us and come back when it's ready to bottle, cork, and label. Woman (Carla) and Veteran (Aaric) owned. Please, no pets. We don't want hair in the wine we bottle. Thank you for understanding. You are welcome to email or call ahead if you have a large group or want a specific area.

Established in 2024.

We started as home vintners making wine at home for us, family, and friends. Our hobby was growing out of control- we were hooked on making wine. We decided to open a winery when the opportunity presented itself here in Anchorage.

It's 3/27/2023. I've…read moregiven this policy lots of time before commenting on it. Why do we still have to wait for an employee to open the door for us? COVID is long gone, no one is wearing masks, but this policy remains. All I can think of is that it's some sort of anti-homeless-people initiative or some other way to keep "unsavory" people out of the store. They still are the best place for the best ethanol-containing beverages and it's their store, they can do whatever they want, I just have no idea why they are adding additional friction to the shopping experience. One other thing: no more chilled cans of wine, you'll have to go to Brown Jug for that now. Why? I have no idea. Canned wine probably has 10X the demand as Sake and...that ethanol containing beverage has a massive cooler dedicated to it.
