Another couple and my husband and I stayed in cabins number 5 and 6, Little Log and Big Log for a weekend in June. The cabins seem to be well built and the views are great -- right on the river, with a back deck so you can sit and watch the floaters go by. There's great river access so you can hang out on the gravel bar and swim all day or have a fire pit at night. That is about all the nice things we have to say about this place. When I booked 6 months in advance I was told there would not be a confirmation email. Upon arrival, we learned they do not provide towels in the cabins and that information "should have been in our confirmation email" (!) which of course we did not receive. (They did, however, provide us "emergency" towels once we asked.) They also did not provide hand soap, shower soap, or shampoo. Our cabin was clean inside, except for an invasion of ants. Our friends' cabin did not seem to be cleaned whatsoever prior to arrival. There was dirt in the kitchen drawers, and the toilet was filthy. There was no light bulb in the lamp, ceiling fan didn't work at all (we told them and they did not fix it). One of the Adirondack chairs on the deck was missing a leg; luckily I noticed it before I sat in it because it was propped up on the wall like the chair was fine but it definitely was not. There was some kind of slab of meat that someone had thrown on the ground outside the cabin covered in bugs. There was also a package of rotten meat sticks in the fire pit from the previous guests. It's a shame the owners of this place seem to only do the bare minimum and still charge over $200 a night for a cabin. It's a great property and has a lot of potential, but the owners really just don't seem to care. read more

We love Broken Arrow Campground, it's well maintained, workers and owners on site, beautiful beach to River , clean comfortable cabins , family friendly, dog friendly close to town .RV and tent camping is good with space to roam , couldn't ask for anything better. i would say the only thing I miss is I should stay longer LoL! read more

the worst campground we've ever camped in. The flies and gnats were horrendous, swarming under our awning and anywhere you tried to sit outside in the site. The campground was rundown upon entrance and trash everywhere in our site and other sites around us. No matter how we tried to keep the flies away from the door, every time one of us came out, or in, flies would follow us in. Today I killed 12 flies in our camper, yesterday 9. This might be a ok campground if you're only coming to float, or water activities, but not spend time at your campsite. Trashy, fly infested, no place to really sit in your campsite and enjoy a campfire. We were book for 5days/4nights but left after the second night. I would recommend not staying here if you're just camping and want to relax and enjoy a campfire. read more

Whole campground is run down. We stayed in a cabin that was semi clean on the inside but not on the outside. Trees are all grown up around the deck. There was a patch on the bath tub and spider webs on the inside of the cabin. read more

I currently live in SW Florida but planned a group trip to spend my 50th birthday with my family and dearest friends on Jacks Fork. I've been coming to this campground for past 10 years and always had a great time. I called three weeks in advance to inquire about our group camping trip of about 10 people and spoke to the owner, she informed me that no reservations would be needed for tent camping only cabins... our group decided on tent camping. We arrived at dusk on Thursday and proceeded to my normal camping spot along the river, as there was no one in the office which is not unusual at the time of day, in the past we just come in and set up and catch the owners the next day to pay. Friday morning we awoke and the owners son informs us that they quit letting people camp along the river, but since it's not a crazy busy weekend that we could stay where we are. I'm like hmmm ok, I talked to your mom three weeks ago and she said nothing about this change. He said it's fine for this weekend, but then proceeded to tell us we were too spread out and needed to move two of the tents to another location that wasn't no where near flat enough to set up a tent and there were lots of tree roots that folks would trip over. I told him the owners of those tents were out getting supplies and we would address moving when they got back, he said ok. They came back and we moved the tents closer together where it was flat to the other tents that didn't have to move... done & good and went about our day. We were on the gravel bar all day and no one said anything further. The next morning I wake up and here comes the owners son and this time he was very abrasive. He said, "those two tents must be moved over here, pointing to the very unlevel gravel with tree roots everywhere". I explained, that spot is not level enough for sleeping and dangerous if someone gets up at night and trips over a tree root is why we put the tents closer but not exactly where he was pointing. He looked at me with zero care and said " those two tents will be moved right on this spot (unlevel tree root spot) or I will have the whole group removed. And he said " your vehicles need to be moved to (pointing at a spot that was literally five feet from where we were parked) either you do this or everyone will be moved or removed". I'm at this point in tears... 1. No signs regarding not allowing camping along the river, like I've done for years. I'm not a rule breaker, if things had changed since two years I'd been there I would have obliged to any rules if I had known. But then again he said we could stay there because it wasn't going to be a crazy busy weekend but wanted us not take up so much space. We had 5 tents and 10 people and we set up right around each other but gave enough space to not be on top of each other, no different if the tent campers in the camp ground. 2. The first day he told us to move two tents never said anything about moving cars, and our cars were tucked in not impeding anything. The two tents were in no way impeding anything or anyone either, but we did move them closer together at least but was not good enough for him, it was like a power trip . 4. Saturday morning he was super rude and I was in shock to be treated this way the second day in a row. We were getting ready to get on the river for my 50th birthday float and I didn't want to have anymore issues, so we moved the tents in the tree roots spot and our cars moved to the top where the buses pick you up for your float. ( I asked about our cars during the day and he said that's fine) just when you get off the river park your cars over there) 5. I've never had any issues like this ever, my group was a family affair with two children celebrating at milestone birthday, not a bunch of unruly partiers. All of this put a huge damper on my bday, I had traveled 1200 miles to go there and I brought 8 adults and two kids who had never been there before because I bragged about how much I loved this campground and the owners. I was completely humiliated , shame on you Robbie for being a prick to good people who have supported your family's business for years and I WILL NEVER EVER COME BACK!!!!! Then you lied about not complying, we moved those tents, then had to more come in later Friday night which I told you were coming and it just wasn't good enough for you!! And if you write a bad review, they will blame you and block you geez, save yourself from this disrespect and don't go to this campground read more

Wishing we would have seen the reviews of this placed before booking. Check in was quick. Owner "required" us to wear these plastic armbands during our entire stay there. They were hard and uncomfortable. Supposedly they proved we had the right to be there. Which was a huge joke because there was no one patrolling the campground at any time. Random dogs were running loose all day. 2 kept coming onto our site and trying to steal food. Children were playing in the roads and running onto other people's campgrounds. Unsure of who they even belonged too. Zero security patrolling. As far as we heard it's ran by the owner and her son and that's it. Campers were packed into very small spaces. It's obvious that these sites are single site and they are trying to turn them into doubles. Neighbors door opened up to the back of our camper. Hook ups are on only one side. No water splitters so you may not end up with water if you get there after the other guy. Picnic tables and fire rings are first come first serve, not guaranteed at the site. Dirt/sand lots, almost zero grass. We booked for 5 nights but left on the 4th, wasn't worth staying. It was walking distance to the water which was nice. And we met some really nice people during our trip. Unfortunately everyone else we encountered said they wouldn't be back either. read more

We love eminence so much we try to come at least once a year. We have stayed at a couple different places but after staying at broken arrow we need not ever look elsewhere. Very friendly and accommodating at check in. There is not a better spot on the river esp for the price. read more

DUMP! This place is an absolute dump! We arrived at night and it was already dark. There is nothing lit on the campground. We were told that we could find any site. We were driving around in the dark. When we booked the reservation I asked if they had showers and bathrooms. I was told yes, "hot showers and bathrooms". There were no lights in the bathrooms. Just a string of rope lights on one side of the building. There was just a roof over building. That's it. It was not insulated. You could see outside. The showers were disgusting. We came back from a day on the river. The weather all week said it was going to be in the 30s in the morning. When we got back from the river and went to shower, they were turned off. Not only were they turned off but you had to pay $1 to use them. We asked the office and said the water was turned off because of the cold weather. I said that should've been mentioned as something that could happen when we booked reservation. Owner said we pay for the site not for a shower. The fire pits were just tire rings. Oh, and while the campground is on the river it's also by a major road. So, you hear traffic all night long. Someone in an ATV also drives around at all hours. Overall, this place was just a piece of land with electric hookup. You wouldn't know it was a campground because you drive in past a half torn down trailer, old port a potty's, trash, etc. It is not worth it at all to pay $50 a night. Bathrooms are filthy and no one takes care of them and the beauty is overpowered by sound of trucks all night long. If I could, I'd rate it 0 stars! read more

Not making the review to bash the company but just giving a heads up for families bringing little ones to camp here! Just saying never again! Every night trucks and four wheelers are hot riding through camp super loud, music and partying until midnight, found drugs laying around, and even had a high speed cop chase the road across the street.. shower and bath houses were decent just like everywhere else just bring your own toilet paper. Campsites are right on top of each other so no privacy and trash laying around everywhere when we got there. Overall we made the best of it and had a good time and were optimistic of the location! Jacks fork River is amazing and the beach area on the grounds is awesome! read more

This has been the worst in 5 years traveling. GROUNDS MAN was awful the day We checked in said if we hadn't already paid we would have been out.. actually called my husband an arrogant ass#%&...nice lady in the office said settle in have a nice night...2 days later same showed up with Dennis...noise complaint...drive slow...we made no noise in bed 9ish...and never drive to fast...camp hosts for a while...still here 3 weeks later...pool gross..no wonder there are so many sad people here..scooped a poop diaper cover..when I dipped the pool...yukie read more

STAY AWAY!!!!! We went over Labor Day weekend, Friday - Monday. Its sad to say we packed up first thing Saturday morning and left to Alley Spring campgrounds. There are no designated camping sites, the fire pit (if you find one) is a truck rim, you have to pay for the showers, there is a lot of sand and rocks. We were so close to other tents that we didn't have any privacy at all. When we made the reservation, the woman said it was $8/night. When we checked in it cost us $51 for three nights. read more

We camped here after a flood had basically wiped out half of the campground a month or two before. That being said, the place was looking good. There was a new bathroom with a flush toilet and sink, and the mural from the old bathroom wall was being repurposed in a big landscaped display when you drive in. This is a family run business, and it's a tourist heavy area.. I was happy with how nice and accommodating the Mom was, who stopped what she was doing to find her husband for us. He drove us around on a golf cart / 4 wheeler until we found a good spot for tent camping. He talked to us a little about what kind of camping we liked, which I appreciated. We settled on a spot right down by the river and walked our stuff in. The loop looked better for RV campers. I would recommend a mat or blow up pool raft because if you're close to the river (privacy), it is 100% rocks. On the plus side, you can have whatever size fire you want, wherever you want, as long as you keep it along the water. We were able to get a float in the next morning really easily. We walked from Arrowhead to a rental place in town, and they had a van come to the campground for us when we were ready. We also were able to walk from Arrowhead to a little strip of shops and restaurants to eat dinner. The website listed a lower price than what we were charged for a 1-night stay. Overall, a positive experience. read more

Terrible accommodations. Go camp at circle b instead. You have to pay to use the showers and they are disgusting. We had an old dilapidated flat bed trailer behind our camp spot..... With weeds growing around it... Very picturesque. Why don't they clean the place up. It looks old and run down. We were very disappointed. The lady running the place was super sweet though and the karaoke party she puts on was fun. We would love to come back IF the campground was cleaned up AND they put in a new shower house that is a free shower house. Otherwise the place was a dump and we'll be going to circle b from now on. read more
