Current River trip while camping at BRCM
Rejoice O.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would!!! I have been coming here since the second year they opened, and go several times a year! I love everything about this place! The food is amazing and generous! The drinks are phenomenal! The people are the very best!!! The owners are the sweetest and coolest people I have ever met in a different city, just randomly!!! I go back every year several times, and love doing a kayaking/camping combo. I also love to overlook the valley in the Spring and the Autumn because the leaves are changing and it is just gorgeous!!! The ambience leaves nothing to be desired. There's the grill, which has absolutely delicious food and lots of live music, a pool, event area, and large campground, as well as cabins. So no matter how you like to camp, they've got you covered! If I could live here permanently, I would!!!

Loved our stay in the Lotus Belle

Best glamping experience we've ever had. Our stay was in the Lotus Belle yurt. Awesomely surprised to find thea space heater. Kind owners made our experience all the more enjoyable. The restaurant is open Thursday-Sunday I believe. We stayed Tuesday-Thursday and had a fantastic trip. The river runs near by were perfect for our kids first canoe river adventure. The dogs on property are very sweet and friendly. If you are fans of the string cheese incident, you will be right at home. We will be back!

Since we were the last ones there we were stuck on the pull out couch in the basement. I honestly can't complain though! It was very comfortable and I slept great! There are a ton of amenities on premise. Tons of fridge space (I think there were at least 3 refrigerators), a full kitchen with a double convection oven, a huge "mess hall" for feeding your crew, a hot tub for relaxing...the list goes on! There is also a boating dock area for access and swimming in the lake. You can also use the kayaks and canoes as you wish too. One thing I will say though. The owner of the property lives directly next to you. I'm talking same house just separated into two. Think like a massive duplex. We did see the owner and they never really got in our way but it did feel as though they were sort of watching us during the week we stayed. There is no cell service at all but there is WiFi (thank you AT&T WiFi calling!) so be prepared for that. Definitely would recommend if you have a huge event that would require housing a lot of people.

At first, I loved the Eagles Nest. After my wedding not so much, I had thought I was gonna get…read morecenter pieces but those never showed and I thought after I had asked for my sign to be customized (which he said he was going to) and it to have our last name on there but it didn't, it had someone else's last name on there from a previous wedding they did.. I didn't have time to change it so I had to deal without the sign on my wedding day. He told me he was going to pick up the chairs and tables on the November 9th but picked it up the day after the wedding and had an attitude with the people who had put their stuff away. Keep in mind, things would have been cleaned if he wouldn't have picked it up so soon but he showed up unannounced and with a stick up his ass, proceeds to write me a nasty text saying where to send the cleaning bill to and that he "should have left when I saw you didn't tell me the truth about the sand floor turning into a concrete like base" (it's not sand it's a mix). Then after him and I going back and fourth for a while he proceeds to try and FaceTime and call me, to which both times I clicked him to my voicemail. He told me he arrived at 9am to which the people at where I was having my wedding told me he arrived at 2pm, I was also originally told it was going to be around $480 and it ended up being $800 (I am aware prices can change) but to be charged 9 hours to set up 6 tables was ridiculous, also tried to get me to change the location of my wedding no matter how many times I told him I couldn't due to my fathers health. The arch that we had rented got a chip due to the unloading and he wanted to charge me for it because apparently a horse but it but I know a horses bite and it would of taken out a larger chunk then it did but it was only missing a small piece, also you would of seen a bunch of teeth and gnawing marks on it, not a small piece gone. To be treated like this after my wedding was ridiculous. Honestly, save your money and go somewhere else because heaven forbid you have a single speck of dirt on his white, plastic chairs that were already stained to begin with. Don't ask this place to do a barn wedding at a barn. (I wrote this review on Facebook also but they blocked me shortly after and removed it.)

We absolutely love this place when we had booked the venue. The day we booked it we was told that…read morethe upstairs and downstairs will be included for us to get ready ( important info later) and if it rains on our wedding day we would be able to use the barn instead of the outside chapel. About a week before our wedding I called to figure out plans about the weather since it was going to rain. He wanted me to come out there so I did and we talked about do our ceremony in the barn. As we was talking about what time I was going to get there to decorate and to get ready. He had mentioned since they changed cleaning ladies that we were going to get charged 400$ extra to get ready there. Before in our original contract it was included. I brushed it off and told him I would just get ready beforehand then come out decorate. We didn't want to 400$ just to get ready. After I had said that he dropped it down to 200$. I still said no. We waited a couple of days to make are minds up and decided to just cancel are event with them because he was violating the contract that we had made months prior to this. We didn't feel comfortable getting married there when he was clearly try to scam us. Definitely would not do business with this man ever again. He goes back on his contracts and trys to get you to pay more after set price. He is a scam. I had posted a review on his Facebook page but was deleted and blocked instantly.

I'm being forced to do something I would not normally do. Moreland Riedle and I flew here to view…read morethe wedding venue that she put a deposit on. With moreland working the Covid unit at work and finishing school, and Blake having knee surgery, neither were able to come up before now to start making plans. Let me just say, I am very disappointed that the woman won't give the deposit back from Bonita Valley Dance Barn and wedding Venue. The pictures on Facebook make it look spectacular, but in person it is a dump. I get you are in the country and it's a barn, but who knew we were going to have to drive past a makeshift mobile home trailer with what looked like a junk yard parked outside, with campers, tractors, chicken coops, all around. The barn itself was covered in cobwebs (although they said there was a wedding there last weekend) yeah, right! And the chairs and media equipment had inches of thick dust. The netting draped through the rafters looked yellow as if they hadn't been changed in years and they were infested with bug carcasses. The light bulbs were scantily present and as you walk in there is a trap on the ground. The owner said it was for a "skunk " that was loose in the barn. Gross!!! Along with the skunk, there were rabbits running around loose in the barn. The smell was indicative of something either living in there or had died in there. The kitchen was a joke. If a caterer came in there they would run the other way. There was no oven and a refrigerator not big enough to hold a gallon of sweet tea. Walk outside and the grass is knee high and around the wooden cross were wooden pews that were rotten, gray and dilapidated. The furniture in the "bride's" dressing area was a couch dated back to the 60's and the fabric was so dirty, I was afraid to touch it. The tables to serve on were pallets nailed to four wooden posts. They were uneven and rough. I could go on and on, but I don't want to seem like a bride momzilla . I just want people to be kind and give this young couple their money back. Oh yes, and she said to make sure that I added that the cost was $710 for a 2-day venue...Thursday and Friday... well, Now we all know why...we were paying for SHIT and shit is cheap! I would be embarrassed to have family and friends come to this place!
