Brock St Espesso is located in the heart of downtown Whitby. It's a welcoming, intimate spot to grab some great coffee, tea, pastries, and light fare. It's cozy and warm inside, with several tables and couches to relax while enjoying their offerings. My friend and I had a Pistachio Croissant, an Empanada, Grinch's Marshmallow Matcha, and a Cappuccino. It was all really good and we truly enjoyed it! Came here on a Saturday morning. We were greeted by 2 friendly baristas. We ordered a couple of coffees and a couple of pastries. One thing they do here that not many cafes offer is to warm up your pastries. It makes such a difference. The warm gingerbread muffin is so good. Get it while you can because it's probably a seasonal item. The cafe has a spacious seating area in the back that is well decorated. The seating is well spread out. The only feedback to give is that we were not asked to show our vaccination passports. read more

I've been coming here since it opened, and it is the gold standard, for me, in Whitby for coffee. Let's start with the base, the espresso. They use Pilot, which I'm partial to, but they also have local rotating beans from Stock & Crown. Their coffee is fantastic as is, but the baristas definitely know what they're doing and the shop itself is always pushing to keep adding new menu items. My typical go to is a black coffee, and a mocha. Yes I get both, yes I like both for different reasons. Today I got a croissant and their baked goods are very good as well. I want to come back and try their summer offering of Gelato, as well. The inside of the shop is super cool, and they showcase local art and artist, adding to a much needed pride in Whitby itself. There is good coffee popping up in this town, but wouldn't recommend any place in Whitby over Brock St. So good. read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. I've been looking for a good craft latte in ontario and this place hit the spot. I forget exactly what the name of my drink was but it was some sort of rose latte w/ oat milk. i also got the herb chicken panini which was great too! 10/10 and the girl who prepared my order was so helpful and kind. Wonderful café with super friendly staff who made us comfortable enough to share some banter (which is rare). Our beverages were delicious and I even tried me first ever Americano... my new drink of choice. The decor was rustic chic that felt classy with making us feel out of place. Brock St Espresso is now one of my favorite coffee shops! I am typically pretty picky about my lattes, but this place knocked it out of the park! Not only were the espresso drinks incredible, but I also loved their unique variety of bakery items. I definitely reccomend trying the chocolate croissant. The braista was super nice and she gave my friends and I incredible service. There are so many cute places to sit in the shop and the decorations and background music created the perfect coffee shop ambience. There is so much to love about Brock St Espresso! Was nice to hear about a new coffee place in Whitby. Decided to try it out one afternoon. Decor 4/5 This place is located in Downtown Whitby, hence it is situated inside a 100 year old building like many other shops along Brock St. It works. I do like the decor inside, the minimalist style works well, and I do love the wood tables against the walls and the big one in the back. However, this place does need more place to sit. A few tables for two would have been perfect. With that said, There is a lounge area in the back with some couches and a long wood table. Service 5/5 Very friendly owners, provided us with some great recommendations on what to get and also pointed out the free wi-fi which is always a bonus ! Food 4/5 Loved the coffee (single drip) in fact bought a bag to take home we also tried a slice of cake which was very flavourful. Overall this is a nice place to come for coffee outside of your regular Starbucks and Timmies. But as mentioned a few more tables would be nice so that people can take in the decor and ambiance. I've been here now twice, and I can say it has got personality, and a great atmosphere with delicious drinks. The options to sub dairy for oat/almond/soy etc. is fantastic because I find it hard to find speciality coffee shops that carry oat milk! Great flavour in the drinks and delicious coffee/espresso.
