Pepperoni pizza 16" with bell peppers and mushrooms. Great tender crust.

This pizza place in Uvalde has great pizza and lots of people watching the A&M football game. Even so, we were seated quickly and our waitress was attentive. It is handicapped accessible. We had baked bone-in wings which were good and came out in a reasonable time. It took quite a bit longer for the pizza but we didn't mind since we were watching the game. The pizza crust was light and airy and perfectly cooked. No burnt spots. The pepperoni slices were large and the veggies fresh. The sauce a bit peppery but good. We noticed 4 pasta dishes on the menu, calzones, and some salads too.

Pizza Outpost in Bracketville is usually our go-to spot when driving back to San Antonio from West Texas. However, on this particular trip we arrived to Pizza Outpost at 11:00 AM and didn't realize they didn't open until noon. We still adore Pizza Outpost, but in the interest of time we made or way on down to Uvalde where I found Broadway 830 on Yelp. I'm so glad we found this place! Our waitress gave wonderful recommendations. We loved the pizza rolls and Gringo pizza. YUM!! The interior has really cool and unique decor and murals. They also have a gorgeous front and back outdoor area that seems like it would be great for events. We will have to alternate Broadway 830 with Pizza Outpost going forward when we make the trek back from West Texas.

    El Coyote Pizza - 14" Artisan ($20)

Broadway 830 has always been on my radar after a couple visits to Uvalde just by seeing how good everything looks in photos. I ordered delivery so I can only speak on the food, but I was really impressed. It didn't take very long for my order to be ready for delivery also. I ordered the El Coyote Pizza - 14" Artisan ($20) which I was a big fan of. It contained meatballs, Italian sausage, smoked bacon, mozzarella, and red sauce. I ordered the pizza all by myself and I may or may not have eaten the entire box all by mtself in one sitting. It was that good. The bottom of the pizza wasn't overly crispy, but it held all the toppings together pretty well. I love the crust even as someone who isn't a big crust person. The combination of meatballs, sausage, and bacon was incredible. The bacon was crispy so you had a nice crunch with each bite. It was one of the better pizzas I have had in a long time. They have some amusing names for their pizzas like the El Chupacabra or the El Gringo. Definitely worth ordering from here again to try their other options.

Let me start by saying this is a place that our family loves to come and get pizza and have a beer. Thank God this last time we came was not our first time. They gave my wife the wrong beer or it was flat. One of my things that I look forward to seeing is the monthly specials. I always order the drinks off of it. So when I asked what the monthly specials were and was told we have not put them out yet and it was the 11th I was disappointed. The pizza tasted good but was very doughy and undercooked. The broadway bombers (appetizer) were also very hot on the outside but undercooked on the inside. They were under staffed when we got there and then it turned 5 PM and 7 people clocked in. I was very confused on the scheduling. We were patient but extremely disappointed in our entire visit. The lack of servers and specials made me wonder if they are losing interest in keeping this a family restaurant. The happy hour was only bottled beer and this does not help bring dinning customers. As the area we were in was filled with people with bottled beers but no food. Our one order brought in more money for business than all of them combined. We will give them another try but if this trend continues I don't see how they keep business from families.

Side Caesar salad, broadway bowl "the verdict"

I went in with pretty moderate expectations and was very pleasantly surprised! The salad was cut super fresh, the croutons tasty, plenty of shredded Parmesan, and the dressing was really authentic - anchovies? Love that you can get the pizza toppings in a bowl to avoid excess carbs, and their vodka sauce is right on the money. A great value for the cost and I'll absolutely be back when I'm in town next!

It's always a fantastic experience whenever I visit. The food and service never disappoint. My go-to is the La Migra pizza--definitely a favorite. I recently tried the pizza rolls, and they were just as impressive.

Chicken Alfredo Pasta had NO ALFREDO SAUCE!!! I was so disappointed!! Why would someone order chicken Alfredo with no Alfredo??

This pizza is not on the menu, however it is sooooo good it is called the Killer Bee. Bacon, prosciutto, honey and ricotta cheese

Absolutely amazing as always, this place never disappoints from food to service to overall ambiance. If you are local how lucky are you, if driving through do yourself a favor and make sure you stop. Now the best pizza by far is the Killer Bee and it's an off item menu, trust me you won't regret your choice.

La Migra Broadway Bowl To Go!!!

This is terrible!! no sauce burnt on the top vegetables dried out no taste at all. This is not pleasing to the eye. Gotta do better Broadway 830.

Which is cool, in theory. Came in with five savages and your humble narrator.. The place looked open-ish... but the door said otherwise. We're talking "pull so hard it feels disrespectful" energy. I'm staring at a couple inside mid-lunch like I'm breaking and entering while they're enjoying their broccoli cheddar. Finally -- salvation: the lone server opens the door for us with the body language of someone being forced to babysit their ex's dog. Look, I'm never one to throw stones at a server. We've all had days. But let's be fair -- how do you know your day's worse than mine? (For the record, my day was fantastic.) Then the spill happens. Guy at our table fumbles his drink. Splashdown. She sees it. Locks eyes. Walks to the bar, grabs a Costco-sized roll of paper towels, plops it down with all the grace of a DMV appointment... and walks off. No refill. No napkins. No acknowledgment. Just vibes. But with a heavy door, a heavier mood, and cold sides? This place left me feeling like I crashed my own lunch. Would I come back? Maybe. But next time, I'm bringing my own napkins... and possibly a runway light 2 stars--rounded up to 3 because I saw a helicopter land.

No. Did I know there was a Castroville-favorite restaurant there as well? Also no. We had to try it. Located inside the Alsatian Golf Club's clubhouse is their 19th-hole restaurant and bar: Julianna's Restaurant. Upon entry, you realize the place has been around for some time. It feels very classic San Antonio, with wooden walls accented by tan and white bricks. The restaurant's aged interior gives it a cozy, lodge-like charm. Though the restaurant was pretty busy on a Saturday night, we were seated instantly at a booth that gave me a perfect view of the Georgia-Alabama game on the bar's TV. After nine or eighteen holes, you never know what you're in the mood for. That's why Julianna's has plenty of options: sandwiches, pizzas, pasta, seafood, steaks, and other meat dishes. Our server came by very quickly and got us our drinks, which for me was a tall Saint Arnold Oktoberfest. I had a tough time deciding between two options: a bone-in pork chop or their creamy Cajun pasta. I opted for the bone-in pork chop with a Caesar salad, bacon green beans, and herb rice. My dad got the creamy Cajun pasta, and my mom got the Southwest chicken. It wasn't long until the Caesar salad came out, with huge croutons and a generous helping of dressing. It was excellent to the point my mom wished she had ordered it over her chicken tortilla soup, which she also enjoyed. If you ever order a meat entrée and they stick a steak knife in it, you're in for an ESPN Instant Classic. The pork chop was huge, topped with a house raspberry chipotle sauce. It was tender and cooked well. I'll admit, trying to find the bone versus the pork was a challenge, but I think that was a me issue. I would order it again. As for the sides, the bacon green beans were sneakily running for Sixth Man of the Year, and the herb rice paired with the pork chop quite well. I would go back. The meal was high quality and felt like a hidden gem even for longtime Castroville residents. What a treat. RIYL: Going to golf courses while being very bad at golf.
