They don't take direction well and are not accommodating to the customer... My 12 year-old daughter walked in with her grandmother to get a regular polish French manicure with high arches. (She has healthy nails and doesn't wear acrylics nor gel). She showed a picture of acrylic nails just to show the style. The salon tried to convince her to get acrylics. When that didn't work, they told her to get gel. She called me to ask me what to do and I told her to ask for a regular French manicure. She asked, and a gentleman in the background told her it would chip, it wouldn't look good and she should get gel. My daughter deals with anxiety and started getting upset. She was going to settle for regular polish with no design, and ultimately decided to leave...IN TEARS! Furious, I called the salon and the gentleman repeatedly told me she never asked for a French manicure. (I WAS ON THE PHONE WITH HER WHEN SHE ASKED.) I said I would just write a review and hung up. The gentleman called me back within 5 min to continue to dispute. I asked the purpose of the call and they hung up. NEVER again! read more

Unfortunately after being a client here for the past few years, I had a really bad experience. I came in for my 2p appointment and the hostess was extremely rude and unprofessional. I asked her a question and she stared at me and never responded. She then made a derogatory comment and laughed. I do not recommend! I think as a paying customer it is imperative to object any work being done that is not to my liking. You are in a service industry and if the service is not right for the customer-- the customer has every right to object, especially if a service that does not fit the quality the customer is paying for. You were extremely rude regardless of your cameras or recordings. It's unfortunate that you are not taking accountability for the poor service and lack of quality I received today. read more

Went in for a gel manicure. The person who did my nails did them in 10 minutes--maybe less, and I am not exaggerating. She would have my one hand under the UV light for like 15 seconds before switching it to my other hand. It is now 3 days later and they are already chipping. She did not even them out at all. They're all different shapes and sizes. Also, she did not even ask me what shape I wanted. There are bumps all under the gel polish because she didn't clean the nails off either. I have been coming here for years. Have probably been here 100 times. Today will be my last time ever in this nail salon. Was there for 2 hours for a mani pedi. Normally takes an hour. This is what I left with. I complained and they made me pay full price anyways. Literally looks like my 2yo did my nails. I am marking this as fraud on my bank card. I used to love Broadmoor and always recommended them, but they have gone downhill. They have so many inexperienced technicians who are more interested in speed than quality. Today was the last straw. The technician absolutely butchered my feet and toes. While Cleaning around the cuticles on my toes, she was so rough, it was painful. Then, she cut me so badly that I bled for 5 mins. She immediately put some liquid on it that stung like hell. Never apologized. It took a good 5 mins before it stopped bleeding. You can see in the picture the dried blood along my nail. I shouldn't be in pain or bleeding as a result of a pedicure. I will not return. read more

I was on the hunt for a new Pedicure place and a great friend recommended this spot. I am sure glad she did. Located in the crossroads plaza on Richmond and mayfield in the back. The customer service is good here. I had Ian for my pedicure highly recommend he gives an awesome leg massage. Typical pricing for a Signature Pedicure of 50 bucks. They offer hot stones for 60 as well. Price point is pretty good for the wonderful service you receive. Only thing I noticed is the bowls and drains could use a good scrubbing perhaps time for fall cleaning. They use the plastic bags in the bowls so no worries. You can tip on credit cards which is nice no cash required. Otherwise wonderful spot to checkout. read more

My hard gel fill was horrible nail polish was bulky and started chipping. Funny thing is while he was doing my nails i told him about the look and he said he fix it and made it worst. They told me to come back the next day! Just to feel hartas! No i paid for a service and expect a good job! My nails look even worst because the Mr. is offended because he had to do them again! It gave us time to chat, but delayed our plans for the evening substantially. Solid pedicure overall. I like it have a firm massage and warm water. This offered both. Very happy with my gel pedicure at this spa. They use disposable plastic liners that are new for every client and their instruments are sterilized properly (the blue packaging). Amber was fantastic and made my nails looks great! I will definitely be returning and I highly recommend the pedicures here! I have been a loyal Customer and scheduled a standing biweekly appointment with Anna. Today I went in and despite scheduling my appointment in person with Anna two weeks ago she stated she did not have an appointment for me. I took off work early to go to my appointment and nothing was done to try to fit me in or accommodate my inconvenience. This is unacceptable. I have never once cancelled or was I ever a no show for an appointment with her. She did not even offer an apology. This is not how you treat loyal Customers. Disappointed and disrespected. This certainly isn't the first time I've witnessed bad customer service at this location, but it will be the last. Like most people, I understand that when I show someone a picture it's almost impossible to replicate it 100%. Firstly, I wanted a different color which is not a problem. My problem lies in the absolute rush job that I experience today. I showed Anna many options, to which she told me she could not do based on them needing to be acrylic (as opposed to dip) or them not blending properly(ombré). I happily obliged in changing the style and also accepted the acrylic set, instead of the dip manicure with tip. Before the nails were dry, I had to tell her to make the polish go deeper on the sides, to the better replicate the picture. As the nails were drying, I noticed how misshapen and different each nail was from each other, on opposite hands as well as just how bad the overall shape was (some nails flared out from the root while others flared in to the root) . I informed the receptionist of my displeasure and she told me that I'd have to wait for Anna to fix it, given that she was with another customer. Once Anna came over, she asked me what my problem was and I explain to her that each nail looked drastically different then it's mirror, how the polish had rough/incomplete edges( especially on the sides) and that it looked really rushed. She chuckled and then told me to go sit down. As I was passing reception, I saw that she was also smirking about the situation. I asked Anna why she thought the situation was funny and she said " If you get regular polish it's gonna look like that." I simply responded that she should've informed me that she could not do the style like she did previously. I could not believe she tried to blame me for her poor craftsmen-ship. I have been going to this nail salon for a few years and the service has been fair. However, today I had a 1:45 PM appointment for a fill and pedicure. The lady that did my field was amazing but when it came time for me to get my pedicure, I waited 15 minutes and no one came to service me. This is totally unacceptable! My sister and I come every other week to get our nails done and once a month for a pedicure, but I will never be back again for a pedicure. I am so annoyed. They said they were super short staffed, however, people who came after me got a pedicure before me. How offensive! Some time ago, I had posted a glowing review of this place. Times have changed. I had a scheduled appointment this past Saturday and started signing in. The guy working at the desk asked for my name and when I responded, he abruptly told me that I didn't have an appointment. I said I scheduled this, two weeks ago and I saw that person writing the appointment in the calendar He continued to insist that I didn't have anything booked. He spoke to the manager, who was right there and she knew I was a regular. She asked me when I scheduled it. I told her. The guy picked up the appointment book and was kind of waving it around to make a point, I guess. He and the manager turned away and so I walked out. On my way home, my regular nail tech called and left a voicemail and said that I did indeed have an appointment but it wasn't entered properly. She went on to say that the guy was so young and didn't know what he was doing. Being young doesn't excuse rude behavior, if you are working with people. I won't be back, and it's a shame because I liked my tech. But when there's excuses for rude behavior, and management does nothing to help, I won't tolerate it. Getting my nails done is my way to relax, and I don't want to be treated rudely. I hope they'll correct the guy, but I'm not going to wait around for that. read more

Not super impressed.... So I go there to get dip and I spent a few minutes just trying to find a color that suits me and they had so many options it was a little overwhelming but that's not the part that I'm complaining about. But as I'm selecting my color I select a PEARL color because it was a soft white with just a little bit of A subtle shimmer to it. So as you could see down at the bottom this is the color that I chose and that I wanted. And right next to it is what I got.... This is not what I asked for..... as you could see with the one that I was hoping I was going to receive it is more subtle and skin toned while the one that I currently have on is completely white frankly quite bulky they didn't slim out the gel at all and make them fit my nail shape now it just looks humongous on my fingernails. Additionally there's just so many little sparkles witch I made very clear that I did not want... it's to sparkly it looks like something a two year old would wear.... And don't even get me started on the application process... this was so ridiculously messy like if I knew how messy this was gonna be I wouldn't have paid for it. Like this stuff got all up under my nails and all over my skin and I can't get it off no matter how much I wash my hands... they just threw it on and didn't clean up the mess.... Not a very pleasant or relaxing experience. Had an appointment at 12...waited 20 minutes (while they took someone back before me who came in after me)...seated at 12:30. No one saw me until 12:45. Felt very rushed, my nails look like I painted them myself, not that I got them done professionally. They were clearly overbooked and short staffed, at least when I was there. I went in for a fill and cat eye gel polish. The technician didn't know how to do it. So, someone else helped, which is fine, but he had already put on the polish. I tried to tell her, but she didn't listen. So she put on another layer, which didn't cure. I could actually slide the polish off. The other nails chipped after a couple of days. This should last at least 3 weeks. He kept saying how he couldn't see. And the best part, I went in with my friend and they took me about a half hour after her. The server only removed color, and re- polished, no shaping, cut cuticles nothing. However, i just went to another salon; same service and they cut, shaped , addressed cuticles and toes look great for same price but BETTER service. The finally reason i will never return is when I was having my nails filled, there were light streaks throughout. I asked for another coat and the worker polished one nail and said no more. I would strongly recommend Broadmoor Nail Salon to all family, friends and strangers. They are by far the best within the area. I have been to Prive at Eton, Zen Nail Salon in Pinetree, John Roberts in Mayfield, Anthony Vince at Legacy, etc. and by far Broadmoor does the best job. I go every three weeks for a French manicure and I am never disappointed. My nails do not chip and are the strongest they have ever been. Lenya and Chris, the owners, are truly phenomenal and I have been a loyal customer since I stumbled across their business four years ago. I arrived for a scheduled appointment about 7 minutes early. I checked in with the receptionist and picked out my dip color. I waited for 20 minutes before anyone approached me regarding my wait time. After 20 minutes, another person that I didn't make my appointment with is inviting me to his chair. I inquire with the receptionist about the nail tech I scheduled my appointment with and was told she took a lunch break, even though she was clearly aware of the appointment. Seriously?? Who is in charge? professionalism?? respect for a client's time?? Terrible communication! Nonetheless, the replacement person was professional and showed quality in his work. Although I have visited this nail salon on several occasions, I do not plan to return and would not recommend mainly because management does nothing to accommodate the client; not even an apology.
