Went golfing with my buddies today. The greens were in terrible shape. There was no food on drink carts. Paying 94$ on a course in the fall that's in this bad of shape is just ridiculous. Thorn Creek and both Riverdale are kept in way better shape and are almost $20 cheaper!! Come on Broadlands there's way better courses to play at a cheaper price!! read more

They let a group of 5 kids and a coach squeeze in in front of us! Teed off hole 6 1:50 in to the round, on a Tuesday afternoon. This place is a joke! 6 hour round on a Tuesday afternoon. I will never bring my group here again and all 3 agree! We all play 70+ rounds a year and it's unfortunate as we had heard good things. read more

It's just a great course up North. For a municipal course it is so nice. They truly do take pride in the course conditions. The greens don't have a ton of character but are in great shape. Fairways are mowed tight and have challenging rough. Biggest issue it's hard to get a tee time and it is expensive as compared to nearby course. read more

Great course this year. Prices are ok. Only three stars because the restaurant and beer carts are not good. First, beer carts are hit or miss, sometimes they are regular and sometimes you won't see one at all. Second, while the food in the restaurant is ok, once again the service is hit or miss. On my last visit it took 45 minutes for a plain hamburger and I was the only customer in the restaurant. Lastly, they have a special grift going on, they no longer provide change in either the restaurant or on the beer carts so they round up the charge to the next dollar. You either pay more for the purchase or short the employee on the tip. Either way it's sleazy practice. While I am ok spending a $100 dollars on lunch and golf, I don't like sleazy tactics to scam an extra buck or two from each of your customers. My recommendation, go for the golf, eat before you go and bring your own water and soda. read more

This place is a top-notch public facility, and the head pro, Mike, is a great guy. We got to take my father out for a 9-hole ride in the cart recently, and Mike went out of his way to make it a special day for my family and my dad, who has been recently diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumor. Wow...the person in the pro shop, Colton, couldn't have been any less helpful if he tried. It was like pulling teeth to get basic information about memberships. Everything was a one-word, flat-tone answer. He volunteered nothing, nor offered a single encouraging or pleasant comment that made me want to check them out. Although, maybe they are full and new members are being actively discouraged? I suppose that's a possibility... read more

Hard to believe this course only had two stars. Maybe I should add "yet"? The staff is friendly and professional, the practice facilities are excellent, the course itself is challenging and still manages to be really fun to play, AND they offer excellent promotions and deals. Though I live in Longmont, I am always ready to make the drive to play here. It is fast becoming my favorite course on the front range. Now if only I can break 100. read more

Myself and some friends have been playing the twilight special for the last several weeks. Really liking this course. Good greens, not too easy but not extremely difficult. The course flows well and it has a good design. The staff is friendly as well. I would recommend this course very much. I will keep attending often for the real deal of riding 18 for the twilight for 25$! read more

I have played this course numerous times and the layout is good and they take care of it for the most part. The sand traps are the biggest issue usually wet with no sand. The front end is horrible with lazy staff and don't really care that you are supporting them at all. Don't bother eating there because everything pretty much sucks and comes frozen from the freezer. I would spend your money on another course in the area for sure. read more

The course is just okay. $75 for 18 is beyond ridiculous. Save your money and get a much better deal anywhere else.

I really liked this course. Maybe one of the most underrated in the state. Lot of great risk/reward holes, and almost every shot makes you think. There are a few holes where you could just as easily make birdie as you could double or worse. Course is in great condition and the greens are fairly smooth. Only reason I don't give it 5 stars is that you don't play a hole without being around residences, and there are more than a few road crossings. Other than that, awesome course. read more

I really want to like this golf course, seriously, I really do. It's a nice golf course and close to home. Here's the problem, the service is just awful, and management is non existent. Had a tee time today, went down to get carts for our 4some only to find out, they were completely out of carts. What!? At 12:30!?!? How's that possible!? Apparently, the course was a mess today, and pace of play was running way behind. 3 minutes before tee time, we received carts. Pull up to the first tee, and the 2 some in front of us is teeing off. The next 8 holes, took 3&1/2 hours. Waiting for numerous twosomes ahead of us (why they didn't ask these folks to play together is beyond me!?). On the tee box at 9 we finally saw the Marshall, he pulled up to let us know play should move quicker, because some 4somes that were way ahead got pissed off and left after the ninth. He explained to us that this is a normal thing at all courses in this area on weekends due to too many people moving into the neighborhoods (this hadn't been my experience at any other courses), and that he already told others ahead of us, there is nothing the course can do to speed up play, and to go ahead and go elsewhere if they are upset about it. He said they set tee times 8 minutes apart, like everywhere else (I'm thinking maybe they try every 15 minutes if they are this bad at managing it). I have never been to a golf course that cares so little about what their patrons think. All in all, it took 5&3/4 hours to finish 18 holes. Oh did I mention, we didn't see the drink cart once the entire round. Does this place want to make money? This is the third chance I've given this course, and every experience has gotten worse and worse. My advice, do not play here unless you like spending 6 hours in the sun without refreshments. I will say, I did not have this bad of an experience on a weekday, so that might be the best bet. read more

The course is playing very well. The marshals are doing a much better job of keeping speed of play in line. Finished 18 in 3:55 on Labor Day. Practice facilities are very good - putting surface, chipping area, driving range and practice sand area. Only gripe is that there is no drink cart. read more

Pace of play SUCKS at this course!!! The Marshall does nothing to get players to move along!!! I have played slow rounds on the weekends at other courses, but this is ridiculous!!!! They need to space out the tee times. Especially on the weekends. Do not come here if you want to spend most of your round sitting in the cart. And didn't see the cart girl for the first eight holes and never saw her on the back nine!! And it's hot out here!!! Won't be buying advance passes here ever again!!! My time is to valuable to be sitting around all day!!! read more

Great layout, great conditions on tee boxes and fairways. The greens are well below average though. Slow, bumpy, inconsistent. Serious fall off from previous years, could be all the focus on foot golf, or maybe a greenskeeper who doesn't play golf. And being in a league here I play weekly, condition of the green has been off all year. read more

Terrible experience. Made tee time showed up and they didn't keep the reservation (the most important part of the reservation). Got another tee time but no amends. $68 with a senior rate, this course is NOT a $68 course. Nice but.... Lots of maintenance work was going on during our round including mowing. Never once did any of the many mowers stop when they were hitting not to mention idol the motor. It's like we weren't even there. Bathroom on back nine locked and no code provided. 15th hole we were just about on the green and a maintenance worker shows up and hooks a hose on and starts watering the green as we're putting. Again, it was like we weren't even there. 18th hole I hit a great approach shot only to find yet another maintenance worker walked on the green with hose, started watering and his hose stopped my ball as it was rolling on the green. Again, it was like we weren't even there. On the 11th tee box the ranger notifies us that he told the two some ahead of us to play with the three some ahead of them to speed play along (WTF????) even though he also said there were only 5 groups in total on the back nine. Just a total mess. Worse managed course I've ever experienced. read more

I live just a few blocks away, in the Broadlands. So, I am disappointed that I can't call this a good place to play. First of all, hats off to the grounds crew. They keep the course in great shape always. But the course is backed up every time I play there. Everyone I play with says the same thing. They stack them too close together to squeeze out just a couple more greens fees. Didn't see a Marshall all day either. Next, I'm tired of the shop attitude. They must have a lot of unhappy customers there because I see the staff snapping and spouting off policy a lot. The girl there yesterday was unpolished and unreceptive. With someone so young to lack customer service skills, it can only be a management issue. I get friendlier service at the DMV. I spoke to a couple of friends in the neighborhood and they had the same to say. One of my friends got into a shouting match with the guy behind the counter. It's getting old. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else in North Denver. Broadlands needs an intervention. Until then I'll play the other like-priced courses that understand the balance between revenue and pace of play. read more

This is my new home course this year, and I love this place. The staff is super friendly, and after introducing myself to most of them they all remember your name and genuinely ask you how you are doing and joke around with you. Granted, part of this is probably because I am here literally every day, but it's extremely important to me. The other people who practice/play here regularly are also all very nice and friendly. They will talk with you, and after playing several rounds with random people, I have yet to get paired up with someone that was a chore to play with. The chipping green is amazing, one of the best in the Denver area. It's huge, with three different flags that they regularly rotate, and tons of hills, elevation changes, and grass cuts around it. The driving range is ALWAYS off grass. They don't even have mats. There is also a fairway bunker at the end of the range to practice out of, which is a rarity. The course is in decent condition, and is a really intriguing layout. Not overly long (7,200 from the tips), but well placed bunkers and hazards make you have to hit your spots. Most of the holes have some sort of risk/reward shot, making you think about, and sometimes second guess, what your doing. If your a long hitter, every once in a while it's fun to move up to the golds and just bomb it over everything. I think there is entirely too much sand in all the bunkers. If you get in one of them, you better not let the leading edge dig or your in trouble. Some of the patrons are complete jerks...most people will hit, literally, 50-100 balls onto the chipping green at a time. This makes it unusable by anyone else. It makes no sense what so ever. Hitting into a pile of balls doesn't help you. The point is to see how the ball rolls/reacts, and control the ball. This is golf, not billiards. Whats more, is very few people clean their balls up, and when I have politely asked 'could you please clean up those balls?' I have had several people yell or curse at me, and/or just stare blankly and walk away. It's really rude, and I don't get this mentality. Overall it's a really great place, just be prepared to laugh off any clowns that want you to pick up after them. read more

Best staff in the area, hands down. Well maintained course, sometimes the driving range gets a little filled with divots though. Fairly wide fairways, and has some nice length to it on some holes from the tips. read more

The National Collegiate Club Golf Association hosted our 2013 Fall Regional event here. The course was in great shape, they were very accommodating for college students, and we would love to go back to this course. The greens were perfect and the fairways were in great shape. NCCGA is a great organization which hosts competitive club golf tournaments for college students around the country. The last year this place has fallen apart. Never seen the staff at any course so bad. The grounds crew is horrible. They always have their heads down & are up your butt when mowing in the middle of play. No one ever answers the phone when calling to book a time and the younger girls are so rude when you interrupt their morning/day drinking at the bar. Been my home course for 6 years now & will not be renewing my membership next year. read more

***** The course layout is excellent. Four different tees provide a great challenge at all skill levels. ***** The greens were in phenomenal shape. Rolled true every hole. * The staff are "old school"....discourteous and on some sort of power trip. Obnoxious was the word one of our group used to define the hovering marshals. That word fit well. We had four groups. In order to speed up play and have a good time, we all agreed to a scramble format where we all hit a shot, go to the best shot and all then hit from there. It moves faster than any other format. That did not stop the marshals from driving up to us and asking us to "speed it up". I checked the cart computer for our pace of play and it said we were 2 minutes behind and this was after 15 holes. So with three holes to play, a Marshall had the EFFING stupidity to ask us to speed it up when our pace is only 2 minutes behind. That's called obnoxious and being a total D*ck. ***** The bartender was totally cool. read more

I read the other post and played here last week. What a disappointment. The greens were horrible. Some sort of fungus has taken over and they are the worst greens I have played in the Denver metro area. The course has a few challenging and interesting holes but the greens take away any excitement. While checking in there was a thoroughly dissatisfied golfer ahead of me and my companion.The person behind the counter was extremely rude and the patron left stating he would never be back. Not sure why but we were surprised at the bad service. Would not recommend this course until the greens are fixed. read more

We played an 18 hole round in 4:30 and 2 minutes behind pace. The course was in very good shape. I thought the holes were interesting. So far so good. Yet, we felt hounded by one specific marshal. He said our pace as measured in the golf cart GPS system was irrelevant. What was relevant? We fell behind the group in front of us by about 2 holes. We knew nothing about that group (i.e., its composition, riding versus walking, skill level, etc). What we knew was that we had 2 riders and 2 walkers, one of whom was a woman playing off the blue tees. The rest of us were playing the gold tees. But, were were still on pace according to the cart GPS. After being approached twice with the message previously described, we felt rushed. The result was poor shot consideration, missed short puts, lost balls as we didn't feel we had any time for even quick searches for balls in the high rough, no food or water at the turn, etc. Net, our enjoyment, our nice time out-of-doors, our ability to have decent conversation, was significantly diminished. Considering the many course options we have here in Broomfield, I find it had to understand the lack of context and judgement displayed by this marshal. I'm sorry to say that I will not recommend this course because of this reason. Check out Hyland Hills Gold Course, Indian Peaks, Riverdale Dunes, Fossil Trace, Heritage at Westmore, Colorado National, etc., I think these courses appreciate their golfers (i.e., customers). read more
