We have been in for a looong list of things that consist of general routine check-ups, emergency type situations, orthopedic issues, eye issues, senior issues, and treatment for terminal diseases and end of life comfort care. I feel more than confident in saying, the BCV Team can truly handle any and every situation with extreme professionalism and a heartfelt and genuine care for your "kid". In the rare event that another physician can provide better expertise, Dr.G will gladly refer you out to only the best and she will track the status of your fur kid every step of the way. I have received followups from Dr.G at 10pm and voicemails at 1:30am, just to personally provide a status update and help put "mom" at ease.

Being hit with an insane total I found out that if I use the single cans sitting there (in a mess) to make up a case with several flavors I get charged the single can price. Can price for a small can one flavor case is $2.37. Putting them together myself for more than one flavor it goes up to $2.79 each. I changed and chose two cases / single flavors. $4.11 extra for paying with my card. Checked with the person I was buying for and she was horrified too at their extortionate prices. Decided to return the cans - unopened cases bought two hours earlier - and they made like they were doing me a huge favor. They are not returning the card processing fee. They charged me immediately but I have to wait 3-5 business DAYS for my refund. Dr Gerrity makes $8.3 million a year and yet apparently still has to extort naive customers. Because we are blind and easy prey when it comes to our pets. The vet assistants were all very nice and polite and had ABSOLUTELY NO interest in making ANYTHING RIGHT. I sincerely recommend staying away from there.

I've had a couple of cats in my life... Only one had had diabetic symptoms…read more I'd taken him to the vet clinic in Saratoga - I'm not gonna mention them by name. The point is, Dr. Gerrity is much more advanced, in terms of modern technology. I've had my cat - Max - for over 10 years! He's my savior! Yet, he was diagnosed with diabetes a year ago. He'd never been diabetic before. But, he was prescribed a "Vetsulin " by the clinic. The clinic is kinda far from where I live, so every trip there was a huge disturbance to Max. Then, I'd discovered Dr. Gerrity, who was within less than 1.5 miles away. She recommended that I put a blood glucose sensor on Max. Which I did. She had also prescribed a different Insulin type for him. And what do you know? After only 3 injections, Max went into remission!! It had now been nearly 3 weeks - and I didn't have to give him insulin!!! That's after over a year of him being on Vetsulin, which didn't do anything for him. So, I'd say, Dr. Gerrity knows a lot more about how to keep your pet healthy and safe. She seems like someone who GENUINELY cares about your pet! Be it a dog, a cat, or anything in between. I know I'd trust her with my own life. If she cares THAT much about my cat - absolutely, YES!!!

This is an emergency room. When was the last time you went to a human emergency room and didn't have to wait more than two hours? The only cases that don't have to wait two hours come by ambulance. This place is utterly amazing. The staff is super professional. They take care of everybody wonderfully and yes, just like all medical whether animal or human, they are desperately understaffed. Let's give a big shout out to these amazing caring professionals Dr. Macy Dr. Akol, Dr. nicki Dr. Lahue, Dr. Kalff Dr Pressel all the doctors I forgot and the best nurses in the entire world. I've been coming here for over 30 years and only receive the best, most attentive, kindest and gracious of care. Folks need to understand how long things take and what the word triage means. I am disgusted reading one star reviews from people with no concept of how much time good thorough animal care takes and how much things cost. An estimate is an estimate they have only ever charged me for what was needed. They are utter professionals, a very highly regarded facility and quite frankly all you people that are sending in one star reviews don't deserve their service or care. I am a seasoned dog owner who has spent many hours and has had many visits to the ER over the years. However this last visit was brutal. We arrived at 830 am and didn't get fully seen and discharged for 12 hours ! 12 hours is insane to make someone with a sick animal wait. At least be up front on check in and say. You are likely looking at 5-6 hour wait. At least that way you can make a call and decide to not put your already sick animal through more stress. I get how triage works. Most pressing cases are seen first. But to have us come back into the exam room several times just to sit and wait for at least an hour or more each time is wild. The tech calls me and ask me if I've left and I say no I'm right outside and by the time I've come in they have forgotten about us and stick us in an exam room only to sit and wait another chunk of time. The vet was lovely and she helped diagnose my dog and set up a treatment plan. That was the only plus.

I brought my dog here because we used to be patients of Oceana Pet Hospital (Juvo before the…read morere-brand) and our current vet in Burlingame was closed due to a facility fire. The exam and assessment with Dr. Nguyen went fine, but the procedure estimates and associated conversations were a nightmare. Dr. Nguyen diagnosed my dog with pulpitis and had recommended she get the tooth extracted under general anesthesia. She recommended adding on a teeth cleaning since she's already under general anesthesia and the cost to do so was actually cheaper/minimal added cost due to their "dental cleaning bundle" package. They provided me the estimates in a timely manner but what was really frustrating was that when I asked for them to itemize the bundle cost of $994 for insurance purposes, they sent me an updated "itemized" estimate that cost nearly double. I've attached the exact costs to this review because the difference in cost between the two just appalling. Nearly double just to have the serviced and charges itemized out. I reached back out to them to re-explain my request (break down the $994, not individually itemize the services at their original prices outside of the bundle) and they said no, we don't break down the bundle and if you want itemized you have to pay the itemized cost. Charging double the cost for the SAME EXACT services just because I asked for an appropriately reflecting bill? That's just not a great business model. They explained this is practice policy but what doesn't make sense to me is that Juvo would've still gotten the full $994+all the other associated charges for the xrays for that service. I wasn't asking for additional discount or services to be adjusted. I wanted to utilize the dental cleaning bundle and pay the price associated with it. I just was hoping the vet would work with me because my pet insurance doesn't cover prophylactic cleaning, but they would cover anesthesia and asociated services and costs related to the tooth extraction. I explained this to Juvo and that it would just make this much more accessible for me while Juvo still gets paid their invoice. Their response to me was nope, we don't do that. This is the cost and insurance won't cover it, tough luck. Go ahead and shop around. I want to note that the estimates for a anesthesia +/- dental cleaning + dental xrays + hind limb xrays ranged from $1,800-$4,000. My insurance would cover 80% of the cost outside of the dental cleaning specific charges. This isn't a small amount we are discussing. I don't know why a vet office wouldn't want to work with their customers to make their pet care actually affordable, especially if there was no financial loss for Juvo. I've already found another vet willing to do the same services and they were willing to itemize their bundle cost, so I know it can be done. I'm not sure what changed when this place reopened as Juvo but we will not be returning.

I settled on a Dutch Shepherd. I located Von Falconer and called them. I spoke with Eric and he said he had a few puppies available. So, I went to the facility and met with Eric and met Bryan. The facility is in a beautiful location. Eric was quite knowledgable and didn't pressure us in any way. We spoke about the puppies and what the assessment of each one was. We were given plenty of time to spend with the puppies. We talked about costs and training then I left to think about what we'd experienced. I called Eric back and decided to purchase a young male that I named Taka. The transaction was smooth and we were given some free training classes to get Taka started. Taka was everything I'd hoped for. He was smart and amazingly athletic. The classes were well run. Taka learned quickly. We did not continue formal training after the initial classes but continued to work with Taka at home. As he grew up, his personality really came into it's own. He was very loving though a bit rough and tumble. Dutch shepherds are durable dogs. Taka was very sweet and it was obvious that the breed is quite sensitive to the emotions of those in his pack. It's important not to be angry with the dog or train the dog with negative reinforcement while maintaining your Alpha status. Dutch shepherds are a bit stubborn and you will need to behave like an Alpha or it's possible they may run amok. Eric was always professional, knowledgable, yet friendly and clearly cared about Taka and wanted us to be successful with him. I owned Taka for almost 12 wonderful years before he passed. I had such a positive experience with Von Falconer that I will be giving them a call when it's time for me to welcome another Dutch into my home.
