Great food and great beer selection. Server was excellent. Place was busy but our order came out surprisingly quick

It consisted of a winter salad ($5), linguine carbonara ($25) and toblerone mousse ($5) for a total of $35. The starter salad was delicious, it consisted of gorgonzola, hazelnut, pear dressing and fresh pear. There was the perfect amount of gorgonzola, I actually want to take notes and make this salad at home in the future. The dessert was delicious, consisting of pear butter, fresh pear, hazelnut sponge and chantilly. Together, they were definitely worth $5 each. However, the Liguine Carbonara missed the mark. It was supposed to have Gunaciale, a rich, fatty cured italian pork product. However, I had a SINGLE small piece in my carbonara beneath the arugula. My cousin who ordered the exact same thing had 8+ pieces. The linguine itself tasted house made.. however the carbonara was extremely bland. I didn't taste any salt, pepper or cheese. I was very disappointed to pay $25 for a small portion, that didn't have any flavour nor meat. For me to be disappointed with food while drunk speaks volumes. I think this restaurant has potential. Service was great. I would be willing to return again and try something else.

The food was mediocre, we both ordered chicken sandwiches with salad, however I have had menu items here that I have enjoyed better. It was just a very uninteresting sandwich. One thing I couldn't help but notice was that we were given two different wine glasses while sharing a bottle of wine. To me, that's a huge no no at a winery and I was quite surprised by it. The service was lacking a bit, our waitress was friendly but drinks nor food were checked up on.

We don't eat red meat, but that certainly didn't limit our choices. We started with the Chili Shrimp Dumplings, Scallop & Prawn Ceviche, and the Family Milk Bread. Every dish was outstanding. In fact, we wished we'd ordered our own portions! The milk bread was so good we immediately ordered another. Served steaming hot as a freshly baked pull-apart loaf, it was perfect for soaking up every last drop of the incredible sauces. For our entrées, my husband ordered the Ginger Scallion Crab Bowl, generously filled with crab and perfectly cooked noodles. I had the Roasted Sesame Salad with scallion chicken and crispy fried tofu. We sampled each other's dishes, but this was one of those rare occasions where my husband couldn't get enough of his own! I couldn't blame him because mine was every bit as delicious. We were too full for dessert, so we took the tiramisu home to enjoy later. The bar menu also deserves special mention. I ordered the Full Moon Party, a creative twist on a Lemon Drop topped with a light, fluffy lemon foam. It was as beautiful as it was delicious. Watching the bartender create other cocktails convinced me we'll be back to explore more of the menu. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the service. Our server, Svetlana, treated us like royalty and genuinely cared about making our anniversary special. The entire team worked seamlessly together, always smiling and happy to help. Kin & Folk has officially become our favourite restaurant, and we'll definitely be bringing our own kin and folk there in the future. With several beverages, multiple appetizers, generous entrées, and dessert, our bill before tip was about $100 per person. For food and service of this calibre, it was excellent value and made for an unforgettable anniversary celebration. Highly recommended!

Their interpretation of ceviche was beautiful, they offer it with a Thai twist, coconut milk and basil. The drinks were great. Our server Maria was phenomenal, classy and professional. We also ordered the Asian Greens which we also highly recommend. We also tried the soy chicken, which was prepared sous vide style, and made for a very interesting and creative dish. The other main we tried was the ginger scallion crab, which was Italian inspired but with Asian ingredients, such as black bean paste, a lovely dish. The portions were huge, so consider sharing. The tiramisu was also very. We highly recommend this spot and will return when back in town.

The Nineteen05 is located on the lakefront in one of the nicest hotel in the area. The decor of the place is a reminder of classy days past with big windows overlooking the marshlands before the lake. It's clean and bright, although the AC vents on the ceiling could certainly use a good clean as could the ceiling itself in those areas. It's one of my huge pet peeves as that air comes straight down onto the guests. The service was quite attentive, maybe a little more than it needed to be when we were quite clear we were in no rush at all. The martinis were quite good in spite of the amount of Vermouth in them. K ordered the rack of lamb, that didn't come as a rack and was warmish, as were the steamed vegetables. My 24 hour beef brisket tagliatelle as did my male counterpart. The pasta was well cooked, but I struggled to find much brisket at all in the dish. The vegetables in it just didn't seem to fit. The best meal visually and taste wise was the seafood salad that boasted plenty of seafood and a nice selection of salad. The experience itself was good, but the food let the dinner down as did a ceiling (around the AC vents) that had me glad we weren't sitting underneath is.

So much bread. Carrots seemed out of place and very hard to find any brisket of consequence
