Most places I have gone over charge the treatments which sometimes weren't necessary. And I hate going to dental offices where front desk have rude attitudes and hygienists shows absolutely no interests in your mouth. Finally found a perfect dental office in bristow! They never do any unnecessary work to get insurance points and their charge is so reasonable. Front desk to the hygienist are very polite and professional and respectful. I can see that they are well trained before they start their job. Reminds me of Japanese dental office. Making appointment is easy and the office maintains not to get overly crowded with other patients. They have good technology but only the downside is they don't do in office white teething. Parking is plenty and they have individual tv so you can watch tv while getting treatment! read more

POSITIVES: 1. Dr. Evelyn Poku-Kwateng is awesome! She really listens to you & she is very professional. You can tell she knows her stuff. I love her personality & she makes you feel very comfortable. I like how she really gets to know me & she gives you a lot of options. She gives me time to decide the procedures I want to do. 2. The staff is real nice too. They are very patient with me when I try to make an appointment & they make you feel welcomed. 3. Location. I live in Bristow so she is real close to where I live. NEGS: 1. Hard to get an appointment that fits my work schedule. She is only 1 dentist so it's sometimes hard for me to get a day that I am available. Sometimes the next available appointment is the next month. But if it is an emergency they squeeze you in if they can. That's it! read more

I broke a tooth late on a Friday. I called to get in on Monday, because I was not in pain. Reception told me they would check avalibility and call me back within the hour...which they did. Worked me in on Monday and were able to save the tooth. Talked me through each step of the procedure and even followed up with a call the next day to confirm I was doing well. read more

My daughter and I have been to this dental practice since they opened several years ago. I am very comfortable with Dr. Evelyn PK and am at ease when I go for my cleanings and exams. She has replaced an old filling for me and recommended me for wisdom teeth removal since I was having so many problems with the wisdom teeth breaking through the gums and infections. Charming huh? Yeah I was miserable. Get it done sooner than later. Most recently, I have encountered a chipped tooth twice in the last six months. The first time she filed down and advised me not to bond it. I felt a little self conscious about the chip but carried on. Last week it chipped again and this time sensitivity was occurring which made hot or cold items uncomfortable and my tongue seemed to land on the sharp edges every second. I called and Amanda said they could fit me in if I could swing by. I did. Dr. Evelyn looked at and advised against bonding again because she said I would have to maintain it however, she said she could bond it if I wanted. I bonded it this time and she was able to repair it immediately. I was ever so grateful that she squeezed me in and I walked out twenty minutes later feeling confident about smiling again. First I will say that I will continue to go here only because of location and I don't want to have to find another office. This is not a warm and fuzzy office and not exactly great about customer service. I was told they were great with dental anxiety but they are nothing special. If you have been to an urgent care office it's kind of like that. Your regular doctors office is more welcoming but an urgent care office you are just a number. I felt like that in this office. A number. My first visit was for a checkup/cleaning. I walked in the office to the desk to check in and even as I was giving my insurance card and such I felt like I was being ignored. She barely spoke to me as she got my info because she was busy in a conversation with her coworker. I didn't feel very welcome as a new patient. I was brought back and the entire time the hygienist was with me she kept yelling over to someone else apologizing saying she would be there soon. She cleaned my teeth, did xrays, and then Dr. came in and told me I need to have a cavity fixed. Okay. No one walked up with me to the front desk. It seems silly but every other office I have ever gone to the hygienist/dental assistant has walked to the desk with me. I walked alone to the desk to the counter on the side before walking out to lobby. The desk people just sat looking at me like I was an idiot. Finally I asked if they want me to walk to the lobby side and she said yes. Okay... They couldn't get me in for a month for the cavity fix. I noticed that my teeth didn't feel as squeaky clean as they normally do after a cleaning. It didn't click until the next day that the hygienist didn't use the polisher on my teeth. My husband said she did use it on his when he went in. My second visit scared me a bit. I went to the front desk on arrival and before I could say hi I was told to sit down. The dental assistant came and got me. She put numbing a LOT of numbing gel on my gums to prepare the shot when the Dr. came in. A LOT. My tongue went numb then it started going down my throat. My throat went numb and I was having a hard time swallowing. I was starting to get scared so I told the dental assistant that my throat was going numb and she didn't understand. There was a language barrier. Her solution was to give me the vacuum hose. I sat for awhile listening to everyone laughing and joking with another patient. By the time the Dr. came in my throat and tongue were no longer numb so luckily she didn't think it was bad enough to need any numbing shot because I think the gel had mostly worn off anyway. When I was paying the dental assistant came out asking if I had their glasses. Out of habit I accidentally put them on the top of my head like I do my sunglasses. She went on about how expensive they were and left me feeling like she thought I was purposefully trying to steal the ugly glasses. My husband and I will continue to go to the office but I will continue to make the drive to take my kids to their current dentist. read more

The first time I went, I had a great experience, however, I just called to schedule an appointment because the bonding on my tooth fell off. I called to inquire about being seen next week (I never asked to be seen immediately) to have my tooth bonded. I gave the receptionist all of the information and apparently she was not listening to me because she asked me the same questions again. She then puts me on hold to find out if I could be seen the following week. She comes back and tells me that because I did not get X-rays done on my last visit that the dentist would just look at my tooth but there was no guarantee that she would be able to fix it. While she is telling me this she is laughing with another staff member!!!! Well the reason I did not get x-ray's last year is because the dentist indicated that it was not necessary. At that point I was very frustrated with the lack of customer service and simply told her that I would find another dentist and her response was ok. It is unfortunate that this happened because the bottom line is that the dentist at this location is very good. read more

I don't event want to give it 1 star. The experience I had recently was horrible. I selected this dentist based on the location when we bought a house. I am moving my whole family to another dentist and willing to drive further only to avoid the rude staff (there is one very sweet girl there, but one of them was rude, didn't understand what I was asking, hung up on me while I was talking). Then the dentist herself was YELLING at me and telling me to calm down - how UNPROFESSIONAL! I am the client, if i ask questions, they need to explain, not tell me that I am wrong about something. I wanted to do a crown there, but will never ever go there. I was still doubting my experience and the doctor told me "I NEED TO KNOW IF YOU ARE GOING TO KEEP YOUR APPOINTMENT" and she was pushing me to tell her if I am coming in next week for a crown. I told her I would get a second opinion and tell her by the end of the day. I got home and though about it and realized that no professional person has treated me this way or allowed their staff to treat clients this way and I called and said I wanted to cancel my appointment. I am utterly disgusted with how they conduct themselves. I was never late on my bills, actually paid everything before I left, I was a client for over two years and same for my daughter and my husband. So ridiculous.
