Great group of people and it was refreshing to be around a ranch that didn't feel micro-managed. You can save money and clean your own stall and paddock which really helps keep the cost down. My horse was fed high quality hay twice a day. They let me choose the type of hay and amount which was great. I could wash my horse if I needed to as they have well water even in our drought. Of course I was mindful of how much water I used but sometimes you have to use water and it's nice to have the freedom to use it if necessary. I read two negative reviews that came from the same person.....interesting.... Apparently she did not check on her own horse often enough and feels compelled to blame the Ranch? As all of us experienced horse owners know.....you cannot bubble pack our horses, and sometimes they do injure themselves and it's our job to care for them. (In my opinion of course) My suggestion is to take a beautiful drive out there and look at it for yourself. Compare locations, costs, facilities, how the horses actually look and perhaps even ask the boarders yourself if they like the ranch. I am very great full for the care my horse received and I would move him back there if I moved back to the Bay Area in a Heartbeat!

Leigha has been wonderful in helping us get everything set up, and Madison has been amazing with my daughter, patiently showing her the ropes and making every lesson enjoyable. We've had the privilege of attending 10 classes so far, and every single one has been filled with both fun and valuable knowledge. From a brand new 200' by 100' arena with tall fencing & incredible Premier Equine footing that rides better or equal to GGT footing used in AA - rated competitions. Brand new aluminum jumps outfit the arena & the arena is dragged as needed but at least once a day. There are large brand new turnouts, a few by the front of property that are on dirt & the rest surrounding the arena with the same "sand" / footing mix as in the arena so the horses have the pleasure of rolling & resting on clouds. Stalls are a generous 14' x 14' with attached runs of the same size. They are matted perfectly with no lifted corners to trip on or rips/cracks in the mats. Runs are filled with pea gravel to ensure no sand colics while giving the horses something to roll and itch on. There are also mare motels that give horses that want to live in a more outside setting an option and are the same dimensions and quality as the indoor stalls. Every stall has an automatic waterer that is checked daily & cleaned more often than weekly. There is so much attention to detail at this facility. There is always a pitchfork or shovel nearby with a muck bucket. There is 4 wash rack stalls you can also tack up in. It's beautifully covered so you can use it in all weather and there are plenty of mats laid on top of the brick & a hose long enough to reach from every side. Large fans run across each aisle way of the barn and keep the internal barn temp low & breezy. Each stall also has a light that can be turned on individually & the rest of the barn is well-lit. Each stall also has dutch doors on the front and back of the stalls so there's the option to lock them in if weather limits outdoor access. Tack rooms are 14' by 14' and matted. Entire barn has a beautiful stained wood interior with a white exterior with black accents. There is a break room with leather couch as well as a 6' foot TV to watch all the FEI competitions or rewatch lesson footage to analyze your ride. Inside is also a mini kitchen set up with coffee maker & microwave & copious amounts of assorted snacks. There is a large and clean bathroom as well as laundry room. There is also two large fridge/freezers filled with assorted drinks. The washer/dryer is commercial/industrial sized. And one of my favorite features is a giant ice machine that means always having ice cold water to drink while you're riding. Jim, the owner and manager of the facility, is extremely attentive and listens to every need or concern for each horse and makes adjustments accordingly. He has a good eye for recognizing the different personalities between the horses and changing their set up to accommodate for safety or personal owner preference. Jim also has done a good job of educating himself on running a facility & the different aspects of working with horses & is quite knowledgeable about normal horse behavior and recognizing abnormal behaviors as his daughter grew up riding. There is always someone on-site & there is night check each evening as well. This is a private facility and is not open to the general public. Inquiries about the current training programs can be made through Jim via phone or email or through each program's trainer directly. The facility is currently occupied by two separate programs: Continental Equestrian & Hayes Training. The public is encouraged to reach out to either trainer or to Jim about training, there are no boarders. Horses & clients must be under the care/supervision of a training program. Both programs cater to clients of almost all ages but are not lesson barns & thus do not offer walk up and ride scenarios. As this property does have a residential home, it is respectful & recommended to not enter property without prior permission and signing a waiver. This facility is private & not a petting zoo. There is a gate with a code so entering without permission is trespassing.

A year ago, my daughter started taking horse riding lessons with All Season Horse Riding. I want to…read moreshare that ASHR has been WONDERFUL and a BLESSING to my daughter, and to my husband and I. During this year, our daughter has learned SO MUCH! Not only about how to RIDE and CARE for horses, but she also has gained CONFIDENCE. Sarah and Julissa have been her two main instructors. Both possess a vast KNOWLEDGE of horses and you can easily see they LOVE what they do. As good coaches, they have the Ability to Teach, Encourage and Challenge my daughter at the appropriate times. She has LEARNED so much over the course of this year and we look forward to the next!! The setting is also wonderful! (We go to the Finley location.) Here, there are 3 practice arenas, one of which is covered, making it so she can ride during the rainy season. Parking is not an issue. ASHR really is a high-light for our family! With the setting in horse-country, my husband and I get to enjoy a "mini weekly date" drinking our coffee and watching our daughter grow with what she loves! Thank you Julie and ASHR!

I've been meaning to write this review for a long time but life has a way of getting away from you…read more I took two blocks of lessons with All Seasons Horse Riding and their team is phenomenal. I had and rode horses as a kid but it had been a good 20 years since my last ride and I'd lost all the skills and confidence I once had. All Seasons helped me build that confidence right back up. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable, patient and approachable. Every lesson there seriously felt like therapy. Just being around the horses, the kind folks and learning without a ton of pressure was always so nice. They make it a point to end each session on a high note - it's good for the horses and for you as a rider. During extra hot or rainy days, sometimes the riding lessons would be canceled but more often than not, the lesson would just be horsemanship and/or groundwork. I know some people only want the riding parts of the lessons but having instructors that can teach you the horsemanship and groundwork techniques is invaluable. You build so much more skill and appreciation for the horses that way. It allows you to actually foster relationships with the horses too. I enjoyed that aspect so much that sometimes I'd request those lessons even if the weather was good to ride. I had to take a break due to my own budget constraints but i will be back! The lessons are absolutely fairly priced and worth every dollar.

I recently moved my horse to BHE from a barn in SoCal and I have been so very happy I did! Kate and…read morethe trainers hear TRULY CARE and I can tell how much time they've spent with my horse. My horse has had a chronic problem with white line disease in his hoof and BHE has not only brought in an excellent farrier (shout out to James McCracken!!) but the team has treated his hoof TWICE A DAY! and he's finally on his way to recovery. Like most owners, I just don't have the time to be at the barn every day and I rely upon the team to take care of my horse. I am so grateful to have found a barn that makes a point of giving each horse what it needs (and without upcharging me for every added thing) rather than just tossing some hay in their stalls and leaving the owner to figure out the rest. BHE has an extensive staff of experienced people who work beautifully together and go out of their way to provide the kind of personalized care I would do on my own if I could. I will also ratify what others have said about the atmosphere at BHE. I am relatively new to the horse world but I have definitely experienced the snooty, catty, gossipy behavior that gives it such a bad rap and BHE IS NOT that. Any time I have spent there has been such a pleasure. If you're looking for a barn that will be the "happy place" for both you and your horse, I think you'll enjoy being part of the BHE family.
