Pasta Brio

I stopped in and was happy to find I made it in time for happy hour. I ordered the calamari and white peach sangria from the happy hour menu. The calamari didn't have a lot of flavor but the sauces that are served with it added flavor. The white peach sangria was a nice light drink. I ordered the brio pasta and a side chopped salad for my entree. The vegetables in the salad were crisp and tasty. The pasta had no flavor. I had to add a ton of salt and pepper. The service was great!

I'm afraid that Brio's best days may be behind them. They were very friendly and the server Miguel was the best. The Risotto was delicious but I would describe the rest of the food as meh. I did order the risotto and the first order was cooked to pMy family and I were like the only ones in there at 8:30 on a Friday night. While I get that is late for some but it's still a Friday night! Anyways I'm pulling for them but it's not looking good.

We came for a 30th birthday celebration looking for good Italian food and atmosphere to enjoy and celebrate. From the appetizers to the desserts, we had such a great experience and definitely got what we came for. I would highly recommend their version of Pasta Alla Vodka. They make a stuffed rigatoni filled with ricotta and their vodka sauce has a little kick giving it this extra wow factor. Several of us ordered it and loved it, so if you want a unique twist on a what is usually a pretty regular dish, try it at Brio!

Lobster bisque with a house salad, baguette and a glass of Cabernet with an actual cleaner glass!

Not exactly the friendliest staff (bartender) and the place actually did not look very clean. I ordered a Cabernet and the glass was filthy, when I asked the Bartender for some napkins to clean the glass she was not very happy at all and threw the napkins on the bar top. The food was at best "so so" On a positive note the salad was actually not bad at all, chopped up very nicely with a vinaigrette. I'm a big boy, but just in case anybody else may be interested in going to this place, beware. Also on a positive note the rest of the staff was extremely friendly and courteous!

I generally don't give 4/5's, and I was reluctant after I sat at the bar for a good 10 minutes and…read morenone of the bartenders paid me any attention. (I actually thought about walking out). Instead, I allowed patience to prevail....I ordered their wings. They looked different than your average wings, so I figured give it a try. They were/are absolutely heavenly. Not sure what they do with them. They don't seem fried, but they are HUGE, succulent, and served with a big pepper and onions, two of my best friends. The wings came out hot, and they were so plentiful, I had to box my order because I was full. (Okay, I filled up on beer. Shoot me. I love beer, and their tap prices are so low compared to NYC). I also ordered fries, and I'll be damn, they were great as well. 4/5 experience. There was a male bartender who was clearly caught up in himself and I could tell he felt like I was competition and he completely ignored me. Cool. No problem. I was able to gain help from a really nice female bartender who waited on me despite dude's responsibility at my section of the bar. I'll definitely come back when traveling through Delaware. Sorry that Nordstrom is now closed. But, this spot is super solid. They have plenty of monitors. My only issue is that I walked in on a sunny July day at 6:00PM and the inside is so dark, it took about 15 minutes for my eyes to adjust. Cool spot. I'd bring a casual date or partner while passing through on I-95. Now that Nordstrom is closed, I have a good reason to stop by. The bang for the buck is amazing in today's age.

There is a bar area with some booths, as well as a large dining space. If want happy hour you have to sit at the actual bar though. We were greeted by super friendly and very nice hostess. We were seated immediately. Our server (shout it to Chloe) was also friendly and checked in on us throughout our visit. A manager of some sort even swung by to ask how things were going. If you have picky eaters or a large group with varies diets... this is the place to come. The menu is a book! Like it's robust. There are starters, burgers, pizzas, sushi, sandwiches... like it's never ending. When you see a book of a menu you wonder how the quality is going to be since it would be assumed that the kitchen has a massive amount of food that must be made on demand. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food that we had. Well done! Don't be intimidated by the menu. We ordered the potstickers which were tasty and delicious. They do have a little bit of a kick to them. Also ordered the special chicken biscuit sliders served with a side of white gravy. Get these!!! They were absolutely delicious. Highly recommend. Also ordered a BBQ burger with sweet potato fries. The fries come with an icing like filling sauce. Burger was great and fresh. Overall, a great meal and would come back.

I'm always up for trying new places. Especially when it comes to craft beer. That part was fine. if…read moreyou like craft beer you will find something you like. Still, I'm landing 50/50 on this place. Here's why. For starters other than already knowing it was there and getting a recommendation from someone else, there is no signage. The words Farm A Sea do not appear anywhere that I could see. Not outside. Not even inside. Also the signs outside that have arrows that point to "Restaurant" point towards each other. I drove around the building twice and had to assume that there was an entrance inside the lobby of the hotel somewhere. Also its not kid friendly. Not in that there is any kind of element that is detrimental to kids. They just don't have a specific kids menu. I'm not even sure they have booster seats. We just got lucky that mac & cheese was a dinner special. We ordered our meals and the Pork Belly as an app. After waiting entirely too long for an app to come out our dinners arrived. The waitress forgot to put in the order for the app. Which I asked her to bring anyway. I regretted that later. The mac & cheese was actually really really good. It had some kind of meat, maybe hamburger in it so it was kind of like a helper type deal. The 4 year old liked it, the 9 year old and I finished it off. My oldest had the wings from the app menu. Nice chili sauce. The drums were really good. However the actual wings were really fatty. Fatty to the point of just mush. Or they were undercooked. Not sure which. For my main I had the sausage flat bread. Which was cold. Not room temp. Cold. Especially compared to the mac and the wings. It was also under seasoned. I was willing to forgive all of this had the late app pork belly been good. That was the worst. I have had pork belly many places. I understand its 50% fat, 50% meat. But it should be even with meat on one side and fat on the other. Not 50% meat pieces and 50% fat pieces. Im not even sure they used the right cut of meat. It wasn't even salty or pull apart like the meat should be. If you want to know what Pork Belly should be like... go to 8th & Union in Wilmington and get the fried rice. Awesome. So with that I stand 50/50. This place has no foot traffic and no signage. The location already failed as a hotel once before the renovation. So If they cant work on being consistent I don't see it lasting. I may or may not go back.
