Wow. So I've only been married 2 years after a 6 month engagement and my ring broke. Okay things happen I guess. So here comes round 3 of sending my ring in a box out of state. Repairs were pretty quick but the issue is I can't get my ring back. Fed ex only comes when we are at work and they need a signature. It's not eligible for pick up at a fed ex near me(because that would be too easy.) So why on gods green earth would it not just be sent to brilliant earth for us to pick up. Had I known this was the type of place that does nothing in house and required me to be without my ring for weeks at a time, I would have never gotten my engagement ring here. I've just settled with the fact I'll probably never get it back. Maybe in another month, but guess we will see. Brilliant Earth has a little different business model than most may be used to compared to other big jewelry companies. I first came across them online and I loved their detailed and functional website. I was able to browse thoroughly and choose from the various options to customize the jewelry piece I was interested in; I really appreciated that. Their phone customer service is also fantastic. I dealt several times by phone and email directly with Jewelry Consultant, Vanessa Justiniano--she is phenomenal! Vanessa is extremely knowledgeable, helpful and went above and beyond every single time! I could've ordered the jewelry piece online directly through their website or through Vanessa, but I wanted to see it in person at my local showroom. Vanessa had a few pieces sent to my local showroom for me to see in person, and she also scheduled the appointment for me. That's when I met with Erik Redal, the Showroom Manager. Erik has also been an extreme pleasure to do business with! I have made three different transactions with Erik now, and he's made the entire process extremely easy to do business with every single time at Brilliant Earth! It took some getting used to at first, because you do have to make an appointment, they have to order majority of the pieces you may be interested in seeing, and you have to make an appointment again to pick up your pieces, and of course you can make that pick up appointment with your personable sales person to thoroughly view your piece if you want to, or you can schedule a quick pick up. All of that takes waiting time and scheduled appointments. I am, like most people used to walking into a jewelry store, getting what you want that they may have in store and walking out with your purchased items. The appointments and waiting (the delayed gratification) is what most of us are not used to, unless you start to understand Brilliant Earth's customized, personalized and modern business model. They don't carry a lot of the pieces they show online in their showrooms. A lot of it is customized jewelry you get to create and it is worth the time and the waiting! It is like a customized and personalized boutique experience than most other jewelry companies, but in the end, it is worth it. You get to have a customized very unique, one of a kind jewelry piece with a company that pursues to have integrity, and personalized experience. Again, I have only dealt with Erik Redal, and he is professional, knowledgeable, attentive, extremely communicate every step of the way in person, by email or phone, quick to respond, patient and gracious, and he's made my experience with Brilliant Earth extremely easy and beyond satisfactory! We just walked in to try on rings and was told we were not allowed to try anything on without an appointment. The salesman were standing behind the desk without a customer and was not busy. Very offended as we were ready to take the next step and purchase a ring tonight. We did come an hour before closing so I'm not sure if she just didn't want to deal with us or what it was but we felt very unwelcome. I would not recommend as this is not customer friendly. I walked in for my appointment to pick up my engagement ring and was not greeted friendly, after a moment I was just told someone will be with me shorty. upon receiving the ring I was told here you go and to sign a doc.sign. There was no communication or presentation of the ring. Just handed the bag told to sign and sent me on my way. For this experience and the price being paid I expected a lot more. Iv gone to Kay's jewelers for a piece of jewelry a FRACTION of what I paid here but had a better and memorable experience there. I was presented with what I was purchasing and treated with respect and they made it a fun experience. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM HERE! Less than 2 weeks after I got my engagement ring, a stone fell out. It was a nightmare dealing with customer service for them to get my ring back to me before my elopement. When finally completed, they sent my ring back to OHIO instead of Scottsdale? I don't even know how they made that mistake!? Less than 24 hours after getting my ring back, there was MORE DAMAGE to the ring!! And this is now 3 weeks away from my elopement date. They told me that I could send it back again for repairs but that I wouldn't have it back on time for the wedding, or that I had no choice and needed to get married with a damaged ring. After buying full warranty on our ring and having zero success with it, we turned it in for a full refund. This company REFUSED a refund at first - then after arguing and fighting they comprised and told me we still had to keep the stone that we purchased from them and had to wait for them to give it back to us! So now I'm 3 weeks away from wedding, no ring, out money from Brilliant Earth holding it hostage, and now can't move forward with buying a ring somewhere else because they were forcing us to keep our stone and we were at the liberty of hoping that they had enough decency to get the stone extracted and back to us in enough time to put it in a different setting somewhere else. Brilliant Earth's jewelry is extremely low quality, not reliable at all, and the company had absolutely no empathy or care that their products have so many issues. I'm so disappointed with my experience here. Trust me, DO NOT buy anything here. We were genuinely excited--this is such a special moment for us--but the experience was incredibly disappointing. The brunette woman working up front was unwelcoming, uninterested, and didn't seem knowledgeable about the products. She offered no real guidance and made us feel like an inconvenience. We were also told we'd receive a follow-up, which never came. For a luxury brand, the lack of professionalism and care was surprising. BEAUTIFUL JEWLERY! I had a great time at Brilliant Earth at Scottsdale Quarter a couple of days ago. I had an appointment with Kaycee to browse the engagement rings. I wanted to browse with my boyfriend to get a sense of what I like, find out what my ring size is, and see the options and prices of the rings here, since they are so beautiful online! The rings are even better in person than online. I was able to try on as many as I want, and Kaycee even showed me some sapphires since I am very interested in sapphires. Fun fact: sapphires come in every single color of the rainbow, and rubies are just red sapphires! Now I know there is a whole world of different colored gemstones I could get in my ring. Brilliant Earth was great with COVID-19 measures, masks are optional for guests and all employees wear masks at this time. There was plexiglass in place to separate you and the employee while sitting down. I really enjoyed my appointment and am highly considering a ring from here, well it depends where my man wants to buy it from! read more

Bought three rings here...one never arrived and it's taken weeks to get any real support. Probably the worst customer service I have ever seen. You can't call stores directly, everything goes through a call center. If you have an issue, you have to call and if you need to escalate, they only take your name and claim to call you back within 24 hours, which they don't do. People in the store are nice and care but the company is just horrible. Nobody follows through, I've had to initiate every outreach to get this resolved, and it still isn't. It turns out they lost the ring, they never shipped it, but instead of sending me a new ring, they won't send me anything until they find the ring THEY lost. Just horrible. And, we won't have the ring for our wedding...I've wasted at least 15 hours trying to get this resolved...beware...can i rank them a zero??? read more

Brilliant earth has a great, sustainable and safe sourcing story. This location just opened up in December 2021, and the show room is absolutely gorgeous! You should definitely make an appointment on the website before going in, but it sounds like they do occasionally take walk-ins for just the basic show room area. My fiancé and I had just gotten engaged and I saw a ring on social media from Brilliant Earth that I loved so I made an appointment to try on some rings. Karen was incredibly kind, gave us a ton of knowledge on the process (this was brand new to us) and she sent us a follow up email with some possible ring options following our discussion and preferences. The entire experience was very relaxed, not pushy at all, and I'm glad that it wasn't a super sales pitch type of moment. This was actually so disappointing! I had been on the waitlist for a couple weeks for an appointment- and since my boyfriend and I travel to and from South Africa I called a few days before our desired appointment date and spoke to a lovely woman on the phone who said, "the Scottsdale location does accept walk ins and will give you a 20 minute walk in appointment, whereas the scheduled appointments are 50. So if you are looking to try on, get a consultation this would be an option for you." Mind you, I have been doing my research for months before. I knew exactly what I'm looking for and chose brilliant earth for so many reasons. We have been looking for a natural 3ct oval diamond with a low profile setting. I loved the brilliant earth settings, I loved the sustainability and I had poured hours into looking into every setting and diamond option. We get there and from the get go, the only girl at the counter hardly spoke to us. She could not care less to help and I had to ask her the questions, not the other way around. I came prepared with four settings I wanted to try, but they only had one of the four in stock. So I try it on, and after 3 seconds she says "I need this back, someone else needs to try it on." I didn't even get a name from her. That's the most she spoke to us. I asked to see other rings, she took one more out, didn't talk to us, could clearly see that it didn't fit over my knuckle and did not offer to let me try any other size option. (I am a 7.5 for context) Just stared at us and typed on her computer. I did about 5 laps around the store seeing if there was anything else I could try because I wanted to come here so bad. I had to ask her for the diamond size guide, and my boyfriend and I were essentially in there talking to ourselves. We have been researching this engagement for so long and to have such an excitement to go to the location and have absolutely no customer service was sad. I left so discouraged that we really weren't given the time of day. We purchased an engagement ring from Brilliant Earth July 22, 2021. A few weeks ago, I noticed that the center stone was loose. I made an appointment at the Brilliant Earth in Scottsdale Arizona on 8/24/23 at 4:15. When I arrived the sales associate immediately told me "oh, this is definitely a manufacture's defect, I am so sorry. You can tell the diamond was not set properly as the prongs are uneven." She assured me that she would put in the request to replace the setting completely and reset the diamond but it would take 4 weeks. A few days later we received a call from Brilliant Earth saying the diamond was loose due to wear and tear and we would need to pay for a repair. I work from home and don't do any strenuous activity while wearing the ring. They agreed to complete the repair at no charge but not replace the setting. We received the ring back 9/7 and two days later, the center stone was loose. I called Brilliant Earth requesting a refund and the agent told me he would put in the request. I then got a call from another agent saying a refund is out of the question and to send the ring in again for another repair. None of the associates are on the same page, and they all promise something different with no resolve. We paid a lot of money for a ring that constantly needs repair. In their 2022 mission report they quoted "Designed to Last a Lifetime - We incorporate sustainability principles into the design of our pieces from initial product design and ideation, to customer feedback and research, to product marketing and development. We work hard to design beautiful products that are sustainable today, tomorrow, and always." How is this going to last a lifetime when they have terrible craftsmanship and cant get on the same page about customer service? We cant even get the ring to last a few years.
