I first off want to say the sales lady, Mikayla was great. After I submitted the order everything went down hill from there. I was told 2-3 weeks for expected delivery time, but got delayed about two more weeks, no big deal. Then Brilliant Earth reached out again saying there will be more delays because they damaged the gemstone and it is now irreparable. They tried working with me by offering me less than / subpar alternative gemstones that were either smaller in size or less quality. How does it seem fair to make multiple mistakes on their end but to make up for it by offering much less in return? read more

My fiancé purchased my wedding rings from Brilliant Earth, and the experience was incredibly disappointing. One ring arrived on time, but the second was delayed twice and didn't even arrive until after our wedding. What made the situation worse was the complete lack of urgency or accountability from customer service. During the second delay, the representative made no effort to help locate the package or contact the shipping facility. This company has the absolutely worse customer service ever still. I ordered a ring in size 8, and it came size 6. In order to get the ring size fixed, I had submit a claim on the insurance I purchased even though it was their mistake and now the ring will take at least 2 months to be fixed. It has been more than 90 days days and I have made over 1300.00 in payments and still have not received my rings. I'm been sent thru a phone loop with no resolution. The world of engagement rings and wedding bands is vast. There are many a woman who want a complete surprise, which often drives their partner mad, however excited; there are many a partner who want to drive the design process; and many still collaborate. To each her, his, and their own. My partner gave me a budget I was happy with and complete design freedom with it, to which I said, Good deal, good man, and off I went. If you are trying to or were asked to surprise your partner, my singular advice is that you must see the ring in person. It looks different on the hand from how it looks online. Most rings Brilliant Earth carry are I believe size 6 (call them to verify this), so come with a friend who can put that on, preferably a friend with a similar hand/finger shape as your fiance/e-to-be. Can feel slightly awkward/weird even having to consider that ("Which of my/her friends fit this description?"), sure, but get over it - this is a ring that will (hopefully) be worn for a lifetime, and it's no small purchase. This was the fourth store I visited in my attempt to figure out what I want (you commit not only to the marriage but also to the ring). I came in trying to decide between a round vs. oval center stone, then white vs. yellow gold shank - and got my answer. My visit in bullet points: 1. The online booking system at Brilliant Earth makes it super easy. 2. I loved being able to try on different designs of rings and seeing how they look in different metals. Definitely "study" ahead, though - check out the website and pick out what you want to see in advance (and let them know when you book the appointment). 3. I also appreciated being able to see diamonds of different sizes and shapes. Seeing stones in DEF color ranges side-by-side was eye-opening. Made me set on seeing the stone in person ahead of ordering. Ask also about the lifetime protection plan (e.g. center stone guarantee and recurring rhodium plating on white gold rings), which is a perk of getting something designed at a bigger chain - many mom and pop stores offer it now as well, but the relative longevity of a chain makes that guarantee far more likely to be upheld. Angel St. Andrie was my associate, and she is absolutely fantastic, personable, and knowledgeable. And this is clutch: she wasn't pushy but informative. I loved my visit and highly recommend it! The engagement ring needed to be sent in for repair immediately before the 1st delivery. I was not going to accept a ring that needed immediate repair. Brilliant Earth delivered the engagement ring with polishing cloth/fibers stuck between the diamond and the claw prong. The store tried 3 times to get it out with an ultrasonic cleaner in the back room, but could not get all of it out. It was like the jeweler set the prong on top of a polishing cloth and then ripped the cloth off of the ring, leaving behind cloth fibers. The Brilliant Earth showroom staff and manager suggested that I take it to a local jeweler who could lift the prong, remove the cloth, and then set the prong again. I asked, "Wouldn't that void the Brilliant Earth warranty by letting someone else repair the ring?" They responded, "Brilliant Earth would never know (wink)" No. It's not my job to fix a manufacturer defect on a brand new ring that I haven't even touched yet. It's your job to deliver a ring that doesn't need immediate repair upon creation. I had plans to propose 2 weeks from the delivery date, but Brilliant Earth could not fix the ring in time since repairs took about 3 weeks to get back and there was no way to expedite the repair. So I had to reschedule my proposal because of Brilliant Earth's lack of quality control & 3 week turn-around on repairs. I rejected the ring and got a refund. Additionally, the suggestion for me to repair it myself and that Brilliant Earth would never know about it -thus would not void my warranty- showed how shady and untrustworthy the staff and manager were. Additionally, asking the customer to fix Brilliant Earth's mistake shows a lack of integrity. read more

We had an appointment with Abby and our whole experience was amazing. She was prepared and showed me exactly the rings I was interested in as well as the diamond shapes that I wanted to see. I came in undecided about what I wanted and Abby answered all my questions and was able to help guide me into making a perfect decision on what I really wanted. We felt very important and were taken to a private room and got to try on any and all rings we wanted. She sized me for a perfect fit and taught us what we needed to know about purchasing a diamond. We had no idea about the clarity and clearness but she was able to show us the difference in them. Brilliant earth has the best selection of rings that I have seen and I am so excited to get my perfect ring. I love the fact that you can build your perfect ring and it is made just for you. Depending on how much you want to spend and what you are looking for there are rings priced for all budgets and they do offer financing. Wow wow wow- I am so happy we chose Brilliant Earth and Reem Alchalabi was our Jewelry Consultant. When we started this process I knew nothing about diamonds or really what I was looking for, but I knew Brilliant Earth was a leader for lab-created diamonds which is what my fiancé and I both wanted for both cost and ethical reasons. We ended up visiting the Montrose location twice. The first visit Reem was incredibly helpful with explaining the differences between cut, color, and clarity, and I never felt rushed or pressure to pick a different style. When my fiancé and I left that first visit I felt like I had a better understanding of what to look for in a diamond, and we had narrowed down which styles we liked with my favorite (at the time) being the secret halo and my fiancé's being the Reverie. About a month later we went back a second time ready to buy one. I had a general idea of what I was comfortable spending on a ring, but I had no idea what my fiancés true budget was- Reem seamlessly asked when the subject came up if my fiancé wanted to speak with her privately about the specific price range, which he declined (I found out later we came in under budget, so thank you Brilliant Earth for having so many beautiful options). We had some hiccups during the checkout process and Reem handled it with grace and even had some helpful suggestions (if you bank with Chase or American Express, both my chase debit card and American Express credit card had promotions for statement credits or cash back for a Brilliant Earth purchase and I never would have thought to check something like that). I needed a larger ring size, and again Reem was on it with putting in that request super quickly both times with my engagement ring and wedding ring. Now that I have both my engagement ring and wedding band I am so, so happy we went with Brilliant Earth. I actually had a hiccup with the FedEx delivery of my engagement ring and Brilliant Earth, even though it wasn't their fault, went above and beyond to make sure the situation was taken care of. I chose to have my wedding band shipped to the Montrose location so I didn't have to deal with FedEx a second time, and it was perfect because I got to see Reem and show her my engagement ring in person. I couldn't recommend Brilliant Earth enough and hope that anyone who is going to purchase fine jewelers asks for Reem to be their jewelry specialist. I feel like we have truly beautiful rings that are perfect for us and are so beautiful, and I think we got here because Reem was so helpful and never tried to just "make a sale" or push us towards more expensive settings or diamonds just because. I came here to the Houston Montrose location to purchase a pair (my first after 4 decades of feeling like I've finally earned the luxury) of diamond studs, and had been very excited after looking at the website and learning about all the options. My husband, who was gifting me this future purchase, even called in advance to make an appointment. We were told walk-ins were welcome and this location had a great selection. When we arrived, we were a bit confused at 1) the tepid, dare I say cold, attitude of the salesperson and 2) the limited options for diamond studs. After trying a few on, we decided to make an appointment to allow the store to bring in more stock, and the salesperson said "you can just do it online". We confusingly said "ok..." and walk out of there and will never give them our business!
