We selected the natural cedar stain, wondering how that would look applied to the yellowish stain currently on the deck and structure. Jennifer's communication skills are excellent. She texted each morning to let us know when she'd be here, or when the weather wouldn't work for staining. She started with a cedar cleaning product which stripped off the discoloration, we had, there were dark areas as well as funky golden patches. After allowing the wood to dry, she returned and painted each piece of wood, each slat on all four sides, getting into the groves to give it a uniform appearance. The wood was soaking up the stain, so she applied two or more coats as needed. I've attached a before and after showing the side of the hot tub enclosure. It looks brand new.

Nick stopped over to have a look and put together a quote. The price was more than fair as compared to others who quoted us, especially after he said it included all supplies and paint. After checking on his reviews here and elsewhere, we decided to hire Nick and move ahead. Nick and his team showed up at the date and time scheduled. After setting up, everyone left for other worksites except for the guy Nick had assigned to do the work here. Removing wallpaper is a miserable, messy task but he did a great job, and went around and fixed the problem areas after. Nick uses Sherwin Williams superpaint and we were really happy with the result and coverage. (Nick also has cards at the local Sherwin Williams store, which was a good sign). It was nice hiring someone local and working with Nick and his crew was totally painless. The dining room looks great and the cost was excellent. I thought their estimate for the work at my fourplex was fair because it was a huge job. I had them paint the exterior of the building which has four townhomes and also the decks of the fourplex. Friday even moved furniture off the decks because I wasn't given prior notice that he was coming early to give my tenants the heads up to remove their items. Freddy also repaired loose boards and replaced ones that were rotting. I was very satisfied with this company and their communication. I asked Freddy for a second quote on two more properties that I needed just trimwork repainted. However, I didn't feel their pricing was fair, compared to the other quotes I was receiving. I did end up contracting with my former painter on this job because his estimate was significantly less. Freddy was paid $2700 for the decks at my fourplex, but he wanted $4000 for trimwork on the current job. That wasn't working for me. I would try Freddy Painting again in the future to see if his quote would be fair like the first job. He did good work.
