My prescription was sent in and I received a phone call right away asking if I wanted to pay for it over the phone and would I like it delivered. It has been almost three weeks. When I called after two weeks I was told that it was almost done. Now I sit on hold for over 15 minutes on hold to be told they need my credit card again because the label was shredded and never filled. Very poor customer service. read more

My wife needed a specially formulated pain relieving cream. The script was sent to Brighton Eggert Pharmacy by her physician a week ago (Thursday ). We'd used them years ago so we thought there'd be no problem. Since this was a no fault case, there was no surprise when we received a call the next day (Friday) needing the pertinent information. After getting it, I was told that the person who handles no fault was not going to be in until Monday. That person would take care of the paperwork and contact us with the cost to us, if any, and authorization to proceed. I called yesterday morning (Wednesday) and was told it was held up because they needed the no fault info. I told the person that they already had it. She checked and said they did and is getting a call later in the day with the cost. No call was received. I called this morning (Thursday) and was told that it was being held up because they needed the no fault information. I told the person that they had it. She checked and said they did. She told me that the formulating pharmacist would need to be consulted and that person was not in but would be in the afternoon and I would get a call. I never did. At 4:00 I called. The no fault information was again the supposed problem but she checked and to my surprise she said they did. She told me that they would process everything and I'd get a call next week. I do have to admit that at that point I got a little "upset" and mentioned it had already been a week. I was put on hold for a short time. When she returned she said that the pharmacist would not be available until next week since his wife had a baby and there was no one else that does the compounding. At no point before this was I told that the pharmacist would be unavailable for at least a week. If I had been told we'd have had the script sent to another place. At this point there's no choice but to wait. My wife will need to bear the pain a little bit longer. DO NOT GO HERE! read more

This place is really cool. It's an old time pharmacy type store. Hard wood floors. Pharmacy area that is comfortable and where they have the time to really talk to you. They have comfy seating while waiting. And free coffee from a Nespresso while waiting as well. In addition to having a pharmacy and post office they sell all sorts of postal related things. And candy bars. And stuffed animals. T shirts. Cards. A whole section devoted to the Buffalo Fan Club. An ATM. Tons of magazines. Lottery tickets. This place is a throwback to the glory days of the drugstore! It has everything from squirt guns to socks to knickknacks to Epsom salts. Always the seasonal decorations and local sports attire as well. All the staff is super friendly and seem to genuinely care about you. I love how the hardwood floor creaks on the one side and always go that way just to hear it! The pharmacist will take his time to answer any questions and go over anything you need. This place is literally a mile from my house and I have no idea why I haven't been there before today. A friend recommended it for shipping as an alternative to the post office and I'm so glad she did. I was in and out of there in five minutes to ship a book and they were so helpful and nice, unlike the grumpy post office workers who barely say two words to me. I also had to pick up a drugstore item and they cashed me out all at once. Great customer service and small town feel and I will be back for anything I need to ship for the holidays! read more

As far as pharmacies go, Brighton-Eggert is top notch. It's a locally-owned business that has been serving Tonawanda since 1959. Brighton-Eggert has all the key components of a Walgreens or CVS -- with the added "family" feel. Perhaps even more importantly, it has a full-service post office! You know that feeling when you dread wasting an entire lunch break at the post office? That will never happen at Brighton-Eggert. I've never even had to wait in line. You can buy all kinds of stamps and postcards (Tip: Buffalo expats love receiving B-lo themed postcards!), have your mail weighed, and send it off -- all right at the pharmacy. I don't even bother going to other post offices now, because this is a huge time-saver (and, bonus: I can pick up a candy bar on my way out)! read more

However, over the last year the owner, Don, has turned into a nasty, money hungry, greedy, screaming jerk. This is one of the last real mom and pop pharmacies. My only gripe is I wish they had longer hours. But I can't even take away a star because they have gone above and beyond for me. Last year when I surgery at Roswell, they got my order at discharge and called me to see if I needed delivery. I was not able to drive for weeks. One of the meds they did not have enough of. I was on all liquid Ibuprofen which was five large bottles. They delivered what they had and brought the rest a few days later. Recently I had a horrible cough. But I still had to go to work. They were not open between my dr appt and work. I called them and asked if they got my order. I asked if they could bring my meds to me. They brought them to work with out issue. Besides my surgery, I always pick up my meds and would not want to trouble them. Because I know the deliver is for the sick and elderly that don't drive. So it was so nice they did that for me. My co workers where thankful too. My husband has so many issues with other chain pharmacies like rite aide and walgreens. I would not go anywhere else but here. I have been a customer of this Mom & Pop drugstore for many years. The pharmacists, clerks and staff make it a point to know you by name and help you find anything you need. The pharmacists exhibit a very high level of knowledge and are always willing to answer your questions. The store offers a wide variety of items and an extensive selection of cards as well as magazines and books. The gift store is excellent and prices are very reasonable. I drive 8 miles to use this pharmacy though there is a pharmacy less than 2 miles from my home. You can't beat good old-fashioned service and friendliness along with extremely competent pharmacists who are very compassionate. Finally add in a post office, lottery tickets and most recently a compounding center and you have every service you could ever need in a pharmacy! read more

Went for a COVID test back in November, and while the employees administering the testing were wonderful, the office staff and the supervisors have been nasty and horrible. Genuinely some of the worst customer service experience I have ever received. When calling with questions about my invoice (which had the wrong date of service and the wrong name on it) the employee got so mad at me asking for a correction that she hung up on me. Called back and asked for a supervisor and she was able to help. Time past and my insurance had a discrepancy with their cost that I was trying to understand. It appeared that I had been overcharged. When I called to ask for some clarification, the lady on the phone wouldn't even let me finish a sentence. Kept cutting me off and telling me it wasn't their problem. She transferred me to a supervisor - this time a gentleman. He helped explain the answer to me which I appreciated, but was so rude in doing it. Started shouting and speaking over me by the end of the call and telling me I am the only person with these questions and they are just too busy. I am just a customer asking for help? This staff is arrogant, rude, and should be ashamed. I am new to Tonawanda and have never dealt with this local pharmacy. I would never return again. I would gladly pay more money for a test somewhere else for a staff that is kind and respectable. If you are looking for a staff that will politely answer your questions if they arise - this is not it. They are angry, mean, and make every excuse under the sun. Stay away. read more

A very helpful staff and they fill prescriptions in a timely manner and even gave me alternatives when the medication I needed for my cat was out of stock. They also have a wonderful grocery area and a post office. It has a pleasant family owned feel that you can really only get in these parts if you step into a time machine. read more
