After I recently complained of pain and after x-rays, my dentist referred me to Dr. Orfanos. The appointment was easy to make. I saw the doctor without any wait time. He recommended an extraction and then gave me time to ask as many questions as I needed. I left the office feeling like I was in good hands. He shares the office with two other professionals. The office is very professional and designed to move things along smoothly without frustration. There was always someone to answer the phone and provide information. The charges were broken down and provided in writing before the procedure. The day of the procedure, I arrived early but had to wait longer than what I had been told (not that much longer) because of an emergency. Even that was explained to me. The assistant who took me to the surgical room, was very personable, reassuring, and warm which is always important when having an invasive procedure. The tech who took the scan before the procedure and the anesthesiologist were more on task and seemed to know their craft which was reassuring in its own way. Overall, it seems that the office spends time and money on training their staff. Interestingly, the competence on the front end gave me confidence on the back end (the actual procedure). The pre and post op were explained in detail many times and I was also given written instructions. They require a support person to drive you there and back home and they were also given instructions. It makes sense to be repetitive to make sure the information is communicated especially when there is some stress involved in dealing with medical procedures. Overall, the experience involved less stress and pain than I thought, and I would highly recommend this doctor and practice.

They're located off the Katy Freeway near IKEA, on the south side between Wirt and Antoine. The office shares a parking lot with Memorial Tacos, a dry cleaner, and some boutique shops. The parking lot is spacious, so parking is never an issue. Inside, everything is spotless and modern. The front desk staff are always kind, competent, and welcoming. Their hygienists are amazing -- especially Shauna, who is both personable and incredibly skilled. And both Dr. Tran and Dr. Nguyen are outstanding. They're highly competent, never push unnecessary services, and take the time to explain everything clearly. I've been coming here for years, and they've redone a few old fillings from decades ago with excellent results. I always leave feeling confident in their work -- and with a nice little goody bag! The advice they've given me over the years has actually worked, and my dental health is better because of it. I sincerely hope Dr. Tran and Dr. Nguyen keep practicing for a long time, because I'll be coming here for life -- and so will my kids when they're grown.

I'm 47 now so walking through the door for the first time was a pretty big deal for me. From the front desk to being in the dental chair, everyone made me feel comfortable, safe, and never embarrassed about how long it had been (or how wildly messed up my teeth were). The whole process took about a year. I had my upper teeth removed and implants done on the top, along with some implant work on the bottom. It was a big process, but Dr. Read and team made it so much easier than I expected. Megan was part of the team taking care of me during most of my visits, and she was excellent as well. Having the same person there so often made a big difference, especially with my anxiety. She was always patient, reassuring, and made me feel comfortable throughout the process. The final result is incredible. My teeth look natural, feel natural, and are strong enough that I don't really even think about them being implants. They used some really impressive technology throughout the process, and you can tell a lot of care and pride went into making sure everything looked and felt right. When everything was finally finished, I actually teared up because I was so happy with how I looked and most importantly - how I felt. I don't think I realized how much of a burden having bad teeth had been until that burden was gone. Being able to smile without thinking about it is a pretty amazing feeling. I had to wait 30 minutes for my appointment, which was a little frustrating but I am glad I did. I have good teeth overall except for I'd like to get them cleaned every few months due to a bracket being in my mouth permanently from braces. The doctor ended up cleaning my teeth and I felt like she did a very thorough job. Got my regular dental exam and x-rays. Everything was a breeze. Will definitely be back. Good cleaning job!

This is the first dentist who sat down with me and asked me what I wanted to accomplish, what my priorities were, and explained what were critical actions that should happen right away. He was able to save a tooth that another dentist just wanted to pull. So far I am incredibly impressed. His overall plan for all the implants and crowns I need were about 30% of what another dentist wanted to charge me. Their cherry financing enabled me to spread the cost over 24 months at 0% interest. For a senior on fixed income that is a huge benefit. You need decent credit to get that, but I was pleasantly surprised. I feel confident in their skills and professionalism, and so far it has been a great experience. I will repost when all the work is completed.

Long overdue review of Dr. Nguyen at Elite Orthodontics!…read more I've been seeing Dr. Nguyen for a couple of years after being referred to her from my primary dentist at Smile 4 Texas Dental Center down the road. I started my braces journey with S4TDC and for some reason there was a tooth that they could not get to rotate the way it needed to so I came to Elite Orthodontics to continue my treatment. After being examined by the doctor she determined that everything looked good and I just really needed to give it some more time for the metal to do its magic. Turns out she was right and eventually that tooth moved and my smile was fixed. Unfortunately I made the mistake (like many others do) of not wearing my retainers about two years later I came back to Dr. Nguyen for braces once again. Braces suck, I think we all know this.. however I am thankful and happy to have came back because Dr. Nguyen actually made my smile even better than before and shaped them exactly the way I wanted. Dr. Nguyen and her staff work very fast so don't be surprised if you're in and out like a Chick-Fil-A drive thru. They're efficient and straight to the point. They're also very flexible with appts. I travel a lot for work and at the time I was back and forth between Houston and NYC, majority's of the time they were able to squeeze me in with a short notice.
