I have been coming to this place for over a year. Ivy always has my nails looking right. I tell Ivy the colors I want and she does the rest. She is very friendly, pays attention to what you want, and always checks to make sure you are happy before you leave. I will continue to keep going back. All the pictures are of colors that I chose, and designs are by Ivy.

I always come to do my toes here with Ivy and she is the best. I definitely recommend they are always quick and nice.

I usually love coming here for pedicures this time I went and a younger lady did my pedicure it felt very rushed the water was cold and she gave me an infection cause she yanked out the side of my nail it hurt so bad . I couldn't fully walk on it for about 2 days !

So recently I got my nails done @another location but didn't have time for a pedicure. The place I normally head to just isn't creditable and the number is disconnected.. So thanks to all the Yelpers I landed here. Upon waking on got greeted right away. Told to sit on chair 6, so far just getting a massage and I've chosen my colors. No Prices -So I'm assuming they just go by shape,color and treatment services. Nail Tech- As I was sitting there I realized that the Tech did not use sanitized and clean Pedicure Set. I said the stowed looks dirty -she said no new! She had a Blue Tow with cut up to Nails and used tools inside this - uhmm ABSOLUTELY not!! UNACCEPTABLE They said Sorry but no Sorry is not excusable. And you will no longer do my Toes, the Manage or Supervisor in charge will be doing my Pedicure. 12:02 as I making this Review So Far all is Well... I did get three stars did to the previous text but I will definitely be giving you a check to check over Mischley a better and good review just saw her on Tammy Lee was 2nd Nail Tech total $25 plus a $10 tip

I absolutely love this place!! All the ladies are so nice and welcoming. I want to express special appreciation for Vivian and Linda. Vivian always does my pedicures and she is gentle, thorough, and pays attention to detail. She's also so wonderfully creative that I feel confident in letting her surprise me sometimes with the nail color and design. I trust her completely. I also recently got my first manicure done by Vivian and I am stunned! Just absolutely beautiful nails and as always, a wonderful time with Vivian! When my boyfriend comes with, he gets his pedicure done with Linda and she always does a great job! She is also very gentle, detailed oriented, and gives a perfect leg massage. Forever grateful for these ladies!

At this moment, I an here at Bright Star Nails. Vivian (my girl) who always takes care of my nails, she never change. Her service is price less. You will not regret to come and visit Bright Star Nails. Give it a try and you will love it I will continue to support and let Vivian do my nails. Thank you Helen and Vivian for a good service.

Extremely happy with my nails and how durable they are! Helen was attentive when I showed her inspiration photos and took the time to ensure I was satisfied with the end design. When I say they are STURDY I mean it, I grabbed my car door handle and accidentally had bad hand placement. The pain made me lose 75% of my soul and I expected to also see 75% of my new nails gone. But alas! They survived somehow and no chipping. I inspected my nails left and right more than the cops do with POC victims and they still looked spectacular. Now in therapy I can cry with beautiful hands. Thank you again Helen!

Update It literally slide off my nail .. WTF 99 cents nail polish ... give me my money back!!!! Very disappointed with my recent visit. Went to get a manicure and pedicure and the next day one of my nails was already ruined. Nail polish chipped. Went back early in the am and they fixed it hours later more chipped nails. Never have I had this issue before .... cheap nail polish I guess.

I came here to get my dip taken off and this guy literally ripped my nails offs. I've gotten dip taken off before but never the way the guy who works here did it. It was so painful and I said "ow" multiple times and they still charged me $10. Don't come here.

I've been to this nail salon only once before and decided to stop there because I was in the area and needed to get my nails done. The service was rushed and my big toe was in pain immediately after the service but I just consider the fact that they might have cut too deep or something of the sort.. Two days later my toe is still swollen with pus and I've now found out that it's in fact infected! I get my hands and feet done regularly and have never experienced anything like this. The gel on my nails are lifting and this service all took place two days ago. I can't wear close toed shoes because of the pain from my toe. I would not recommend any place that tries to rush and get people in and out without actually properly taken care of their customers and properly decontaminating their tools. It's a a big NO for me!

Bright stars nails, it's new for me and always the nail salons is very clean every time I go there clean the floor and sanitize the whole chair and I recommend to all the clients come bright star nails and I have a recommendation for the best Great nail tech name is Mimi she is doing to me almost 2 1/2 years and she is best nail tech for me I follow her and either she is off come if you call or txt her for appointment and she doing great all the classy chic designs for nails is fantastic, Thank you so much Mimi doing my nails so gorgeous and I have a lot of compliments for my friends.

I went to go get my nails done yesterday for my Hawaii trip and I was so excited because I've never gotten a pedicure but I was so disappointed because the lady that did my toes forgot to paint my pinky toe!!! And then today not even a full 24 hrs yet, my other toenail paint came off!!! WTFF!! I was told that gel lasts longer but it clearly doesn't!! I want my money back!!!!! read more

I've been coming here for years and never leave upset. This did it for me, Vickie was the one who " did " my nails. First of all I know this is a nail shop, I don't expect excellent customer service. However, once I sat in the chair she grabbed her phone and started texting people and making phone calls. She would file one nail, then text with her other hand. This went on for 30 minutes. My mom had accompanied me to get a pedicure and by then she had already paid and tipped her nail technician. I am not one to be rude or rush someone so I sat there hoping for the best. 2 1/2 hours later, she realized she put the wrong nail polish. She called Helen over ( the owner ) and they started talking, I could tell Vickie became upset that she had to remove the nail polish to re paint them. For how long she took I was honestly speechless. Each nail is different, lumpy and you can see the layers of nail polish. Came back the next morning to speak to the owner and Helen quickly shushed me since she didn't want anyone nearby hearing how upset I was. All Helen did was a nail polish change, did not file the nails, did not clean up nail polish. I went back home took off the nail polish and painted them myself. Never again. $35 for 6 day nails. read more

I have gone here for a while and I often like my nails but today I am not satisfied. I walked in and one tech did the removing of my own set and the acrylic process. She was nice asked if it hurt me when removing my old set. There was a few workers and more people than workers so they had to multitask, the other lady came up to me and her vibes were not it. My nails don't look even and I wanted pink French tops at first but they were just not coming out to how I wanted so I changed my mind and ended up with white. I was there for almost 2 hours, i do not have the time to go and fix them so I will not be going here for a while. More so not to that nail tech. read more

Keep in mind that the shop is under new management. It has gotten so much better! I came in today to get a gel manicure and a pedicure. The lady who did my pedicure (didn't get her name) wrapped the lining of the foot bath with plastic before I soaked my feet. Yasss for sanitation! Added in this blue solution in the bath usually to soften up your feet before cuticle treatment (this is what I always look for in the beginning of the pedicure). Followed by a pumice stone service, sea salt scrub, massage, and a hot warm towel. I applaud her for not cutting me and making my feet feel so good. Massage was good and lotion smells so fruity and yummy. Helen did a great job on my gel manicure. She did what i asked for and if you are specific there's nothing like letting her know. Ladies if you like your nails a certain way.. just kindly voice your ideas! Her massage was great and my nails looked so bomb hunty let me tell you! Go get you some. and A+ for not getting cut during cuticle treatment. Tools are sanitized. Prices are cheap. Ladies are social and funny. They do bling bling nails ;) Go on Tuesdays, I was seen right away. I can't wait to go there again in two more weeks. Always call ahead to see how traffic is. Helen! Helen! Helen! Helen! Helen is the best nail tech that I have ever known. She takes pride in her work, focuses on the job at hand and you always look like a hand model leaving her chair. She can do any design and is always up for a challenge. She is super sweet and very personable. I just love her. I have been going to Helen for 2 years now. I have made all my friends and family believers too. Helen is the business! No one else will ever touch my nails. Pedicures are bomb here as well. The techs take their time with you and my feet feel so soft and silky when done. My friends also get their eyebrows waxed here and the outcome is always beautiful. read more

I thought 4 stars was a pretty good sign and they were able to take me right away, but Helen immediately brought out a tray that still had nail cuttings on it and began clipping off my tips. She then used a plastic tip to separate my acrylics from my real nails and pry them off. I almost left after the first nail but then I got would have been left with one naked nail with sharp edges. I stayed quiet, hoping it would get better. It didn't. I let out severa yelps of pain during the course of this treatment, but Helen kept going, despite apologizing for the pain she was causing. When she was done, my real nails had several layers ripped off of them and one was deeply gouged. Helen then sent me off to another lady. I had hoped to find someone more sympathetic, but this lady was just as mean with the nippers- I got stabbed at least once. She did an ok job painting my nails, although she had to file off one blob of gel that had fallen to the side and been cured. After that, she massaged my hands like she was late for the bus. She didn't even remove my ring, no doubt causing pain to both of us in the process. When she was done, she literally sprinted to the parking lot, so I guess she was late for something. I usually tip 20%, but I couldn't bring myself to tip anything. My nails look ok, but my nail beds hurt and I'm kind of worried an infection is going to pop up. read more

Don't waste your time coming here. I waited about 30 minutes to get attended. Once I got seated the lady started working on my nails, she randomly stopped and started to attended someone else. She was going back and forth between me and another client. The nail glue burned. She worked fast. Nails are uneven, the acrylic is bubbly, nails look lifted. Just a sloppy work over all. Will not be coming back any time soon. read more

I've only been twice- Tracy and Sandy have helped me and they are so sweet! They do great work also. It's convenient for me and I don't argue their prices so I'll definitely be going back. They close at 7p and they get busy towards the weekend so make sure to call. read more

They were nice and spent alot of time on my nails and they put alot of effort into them. My nails are so neat and they were welcoming to my design choice I showed them and helped each other to get it right since my lady had trouble with it. I would definitely come back. My gel/acrylic + design with rhinestones cost $43. Prices are posted inside. I can finally hold hands with my boyfriend like they wanted me too. They made it my lifes mission. read more

I've heard so many good things about this place, so today I decided to go in and try it. I was recommended by a friend to see Helen. It was a little busy when I came in but nothing major. I waited about 5-10 minutes and then Helen started. She was really sweet. She was taking her time with shaping my nails and setting the acrylic on. After that she rushed through it so fast. First, the acrylic was way to thick and bubbly. She got the gel polish all around my nails. The design was half ass and looked nothing close to the design I wanted. If I could rate this place with 0 stars I definitively would. read more

I've never walked out of a salon with a huge smile on my face before. I came here to get a manicure/pedicure with the help of Tracy to assist me. Tracy, if I can describe one word of her work ethics, it would be a perfectionist. All I had to do was show her a picture I've found on Instagram and she was able to give me what I wanted. She goes beyond to ensure her clients; like myself, is well taken care of. She's patient, kind, and generous-thats forsure. Oh, she's quit adorable too! She's been working here for one week now, and is quite new to this community. I highly suggest everyone to ask for her! Overall great service, awesome price, and friendly workers. I got my nails done here and i am loving it! Cathy was the one who started on my nails. I felt like she did a great job cleaning, buffing and polishing my nails. Then the owner came and did the designs. I never had it done like this before. I am usually a simple one color gel kind of girl...lol But this looks cute :) i will definitely come again. read more

They do an amazing job! I usually don't get my nails done because I have a 20 month old and I don't want to accidentally cut her with my nails. Plus, having nails with all the extra bling isn't ideal when you gotta be in a rush and be on the move with a little one. With that being said, I decided that I needed a little me time and went to go get a full set and pedicure. I went on a Friday morning and it wasn't really busy. The lady that was doing my nails kind of made them a little bit crooked and usually it doesn't bother me because I just go home and file it myself, let's be real here. The owner noticed that I kept looking at my nail and seemed unhappy with the outcome. Long story short, she fixed it for me and executed the design I had in mind to the tee! I was definitely satisfied when I left. Two thumbs up! This set lasted me about 3 weeks with all the stones still adhered. The only reason I got it removed was because the new set I wanted required all acrylic powder. Yes girl, they do nails that are all acrylic powder if you don't like polish. I was in and out within 1 hour and in a half, which in my opinion is pretty good on a Friday afternoon. That same day I got a ton of compliments on my nails! Both times I got great service and the place was pretty clean. Thank goodness for the sanitation committee This is definitely a nail salon worth checking out if you live around the north side of Long Beach read more

All the stars because I was treated VERY well my first visit here. It was basically their closing time and HELEN still welcomed me and even offered pedicure service to go along with my requested fill. I will return for sure, hopefully I'll experience the same treatment again. Helen listened to me and how I prefer my nails to look natural and thin and cut shorter...a lot of time people don't listen and get an attitude when you come in knowing exactly what you want and how you want it. Was having a bad day after church, my go-to nail shops were all closed, but the service here put me in a better mood that particular Sunday. Yay! read more

I was told that there is a $17 additional fee for any service if you decide on getting gel polish. You can buy a gel nail polish for that price or even less. I asked if I bring my own polish if they would charge the same and unfortunately they will still charge the same since it's a "service" of them putting on the polish. Bottom line, it's not their fault, majority of nail salons are inflating prices nowadays and it's of course due to the "service" or the "product" so yea just go along with it and no one will get hurt. Service: The girl that helped me was very nice and helpful, I was initially going to get a French tip pedi but she advised to just get the milky white I was thinking about since my nails were already pretty short. She did a beautiful job and I appreciate her honesty and not pushing me to get the French tip. I've worked with people who will push you to get something just bc they see dollar signs but she was truthful and genuinely looking out for my nails by even advising me to just let them grow. Okay the drink part, I saw on yelp they give complimentary drinks like iced coffee and matcha and was hoping I would be offered that but no one said anything so I figured maybe they only did that temporarily. I know you're probably like ok girl just get a drink somewhere else but no! I don't see too many places offering viet iced coffee while you're getting your nails done and that was a big part in my decision making process when deciding where to spend my money. I could've gone anywhere else, there was a salon down the street from me in LB but this place stood out to me. Anyway, I asked for a water bc I was parched but nothing else was offered to me. As I'm almost finished, I over hear another nail tech offer some ladies complimentary drinks and then I see a lady sitting across from me with a glass of champagne. I was confused bc I thought maybe you need to have a certain service to access that amenity. I asked the receptionist as I was checking out about that and she said "oh your nail tech is supposed to offer"...and then looks at me like I'm being annoying like..ok I'm just trying to get clarification. I am not trying to be problematic I was genuinely just wondering about it, she made me feel like a Karen for wondering and asking about that. I would've appreciated her responding more kindly and letting me know ok well next time we can offer you something or idk just not being weird about it like it seemed like they don't care about customer retention.

A few ppl were recommending Helen so hoping she still works there I asked for her and she happen to be there, very nice she received me with a smile. While getting my nails done she took her time, almost perfectionist which is great because that only tells you that they love to do their work and take pride in it!! She was very detailed, professional and asked me if it was okay which it was, I had some nail technicians that don't like you telling them anything but Helen made sure I was happy. She was great!! I was so excited to go to this place because they said they did SNS nails. Helen helped me and she was super nice but it seemed like she never used the SNS before, she left my nails uneven and left material all over my cuticle, my fingers have the SNS around the edges of my fingers. She kept messing up while doing my work it's like she couldn't focus because customers kept coming in I think she should focus on the client she is working on so she can do a great job and her clients can be happy. Found this new place and decided to try it out. My nail shape is kinda hard to do the acrylics but Helen has done an excellent job for my nails. The workers here are very friendly and willing to do anything that you request. Would definitely come back and would recommend this place to everyone. I unfortunately didn't get the names of the ladies who did my nails and eyebrows but they were both amazing. Very friendly and communicative, which I appreciated. They had wonderful personalities and it made me feel very comfortable. I like the detail they took to remove my callouses and to clean up my cuticles.
