As a mom of 4 children, I do my best to try to have child care when I visit the dentist, but unfortunately, that is not always an option. I've brought my children to appointments at their office numerous times over the past 7-10 years and it has never been an issue. The hygienist yesterday actually complimented how well behaved they were more than once, so you can imagine my surprise when the receptionist scheduling my next appointment informed me that I would only be able to bring ONE child to my next appointment, siting "safety concerns". I was so taken aback that I really didn't know what to say. I could understand if they were running around the office, causing a ruckus and misbehaving, but they literally just sat in the room the entire time and watched their iPads...3/4 didn't even really speak the entire time. I contacted the office and was told by the office manager that this is the policy, so if you have children, find a different dentist- they aren't welcome here.

They called back and said they were still unable to verify it. So we said to re-schedule the appointment and we would call insurance to figure it out. We called insurance and were told there were no issues. When our appointment time came they charged us $50.00 and were dishonest with my husband about the reason for the $50.00. I left several voicemails asking for someone to call me with zero return calls .I called today 3/14/2023 and the woman refused to refund the fee, refused to let me speak with a manager and said they do not have one, refused to let me speak to the doctor or leave him a voicemail. We rescheduled our original appointment two days prior when they called us. Their policy is 24 hours and it was well more then this. We have been coming here for almost a year and will no longer return after how we were treated today.

I had no idea this place existed until I had a dental emergency. I found them doing a Google…read moresearch. I was able to book an appointment online for the very next day. I highly recommend completing your paperwork online before your appointment. They share a parking lot with a very busy Starbucks location and they have designated parking spots for the dental office. I was greeted warmly as I entered, and because I had completed my paperwork online I was able to simply let them know I was there and sit down to wait. My appointment was scheduled for 3 PM and just minutes later, they called my name. They quickly did a x-ray with a very modern machine that produced immediate pictures. I waited mere minutes before the dentist came in to examine me. Dr. Maughn was incredibly calming and compassionate. He had a good sense of humor as well. Those qualities are so important for anyone even slightly anxious at a dental visit. He immediately put me at ease, explained my situation thoroughly, and offered several treatment options. He was sensitive to my pain level and asked for consent before proceeding with each medical intervention. This was probably one of the most positive experiences I've had at a dentist. The first call the lady did not know where the bill came from and that she would call me back in which she never did. I had updated my email and send me the bill that was this month. I also asked her to send the treatment plan as well she never did. So today I receive a call from them a rude lady stating she sent you the info I only have the invoice that's not what I asked for so I said send it please. She goes on to say well this is your last chance to pay the bill I said hold now I just received the bill. The bill is late because I never received and I do not go to that dental practice anymore I followed my dentist who left as well. This is very rude and unprofessional I don't recommend them at all.

She's a delight to talk to, and always ensures I'm comfortable and not in pain. I got a night guard for teeth grinding and TMJ, too. Dr. Hunemuller et al answer my questions, and put me at ease. I still dread going to the dentist in theory, and I always expect the worst, and I'm always wrong. And I actually like my dentist. She makes time to compare dog photos, too.

What was offered was not as good as the coverage I already have. Two years later and I finally got around to selecting a new dental practice. Lindenwood Dentistry has a great location in the Schnuck's center across from Lindenwood University in St. Charles. The staff are very personable and helpful. They use a combination of digital x-rays and photographs and refer to them regularly during procedures. The result is the most thorough and well explained examination I've ever had. They even did a couple of composite fillings on my first visit and the cost was VERY reasonable. The doctor who performed the procedures isn't listed yet on their website, but I believe his name is Dr. Schaumberg (sp?), young, but professional and knowledgeable. I can't recommend him highly enough. The same goes for Lindenwood Dentistry, itself. They are new and still taking on new patients. If you're looking for a dentist, I think you will be happy with them too.

This office has very good dental staff, BUT their billing side is terrible!!! We are required to…read morepay for services up front before insurance is billed. My wife and I were both overcharged with mine being $220.00 over and my wife was being overcharged by over $700.00 which is a 120% overcharge. Then when we were told by the office billing dept that it takes 2 to 3 months to receive a refund for our overpayment even though they have already received payment from our insurance company. So they now hold our money for a period of time and draw interest while we are waiting for our refund. We also requested a pre-determination be done on her claim and was told they had done that but after consulting with the insurance, we found out it was that it was never done. So this office is either completely incompetent or just flat out dishonest.
