ProAudio Electronics in Tampa deserves every one of their high ratings -- and then some…read more We brought in my wife's Roland digital piano for warranty service, after she was having ongoing trouble changing voices and settings. Roland's own user manual was confusing at best, and even Roland Support wasn't able to help her resolve the issue. The tech who initially examined the piano couldn't find anything physically wrong with it (which many shops would have used as an excuse to send us on our way). But instead of brushing us off, the staff -- especially Santiago at the front desk and Mike (the owner, though you'd never know it by his down-to-earth attitude) -- went above and beyond to make sure my wife fully understood what was going on. Mike spent a lot of time personally walking her through the controls and discovered that the problem was a poorly explained instruction in Roland's manual regarding the C1 key used for voice changes. Once the correct key was identified and explained clearly, everything worked perfectly. The important thing is this: ProAudio was absolutely determined not to send Cindy home until she was completely satisfied and comfortable using her piano -- even though there was technically "nothing wrong" with it to repair. Many shops would have simply said, "We can't find a problem -- call Roland." ProAudio didn't do that. They made it their problem, and they solved it. Outstanding service, knowledgeable staff, and a level of personal attention that's becoming rare these days. Highly recommended.

He won't let anything go out of his shop unless it is at 100%, he also doesn't try to add on repairs just to pad the bill. I highly recommend using Pro Audio for all your needs, even if you have to drive 100s of miles to his shop. I guarantee you will be happy with his work and honest prices.

On July 5, 2010 I purchased a CISS ink tank system from Super Smart Electronics of Riverview, FL…read morefor my Canon i960 after my father told me about a similar system he'd bought from them for his Epson printer. He was really satisfied with his system, so after giving it some thought I decided to purchase one for my Canon and see if it could really save me some money. Sure I know the dangers of using refillable systems, but after using cartridges from Cartridge World for more than 6 years without a problem, and on advice from my father I figured I'd give it a try. The order arrived on July 9, 2010 by USPS, and instantly I ran into my first problem, they had shipped the ink system in a Priority Mail Flat Rate shipping envelope, and my mail carrier stated that there was $4.10 postage due on delivery. I paid it since I really wanted this system that I'd already shelled out $50 for, but was upset about the fact that the order was supposed to have "free" shipping, and here I was paying for part of the cost. Turns out that in order to save some bucks, SSE decided to crap the thing into the Flat Rate envelope, instead of the appropriate Flat Rate box and pay the appropriate postage for the shipment. I sent the company an email inquiring about the shipping issue, relaying the problem from USPS as outlined by the postal carrier and the notice taped to the box by USPS, and asking about some form of reimbursement for the extra shipping that I had to pay for. On July 10, 2010 I finally had a chance to install the ink system and immediately found that the instructions that they shipped with the system did NOT correspond to my specific ink tank system. However there were enough details that I could make some sense of the installation and proceeded to do so. The one thing that I do want to warn people is that you can NOT close the lid of your printer because the refill tubes can be cut off and it will not circulate the ink from the refill tanks to the cartridges unless you find a way to rig the printer so that it can run with the lid part way open. However the real problems began on Sunday July 11th when I went to use the printer for the first real print job since installing the CISS system. Suddenly the computer is telling me I'm out of black ink, and that my magenta cartridges are getting low as well. I found this odd since the refill tanks were still full, and soon the printer light began blinking because it believed that the black cartridge was empty. Per the instructions I held the button for five seconds so it could reset the refill sensor and this supposedly would allow the printer to believe I had just installed a new cartridge. Well the light stopped blinking, but it wasn't long before I realized that the black cartridge was 100% bone dry. For some reason the ink was not traveling through the tubes to the cartridges, so I elevated the tank system up a little higher than it previously was set and soon the ink began flowing through the tubes to the cartridges. However this is just the beginning of the problem, now the tanks are completely empty, and all the ink has ran through the cartridges and into a foam ink soaker in the bottom of the printer. I now have to have the printer professionally cleaned before I can use it again. Now around noon on July 11th I received an email response from SSE, and I swear I can't make this up, this was the response; "no your hillbilly post office do not know what they are talking about we ship 50-100 everyday and never have a problem". Now I have spent $50 on what turns out to be a total waste of money, my printer is basically ruined, and clearly this company feels they can treat customers like total garbage for problems they create. Needless to say I'm posting this on as many review forums as I can to make people aware that this is a company to stay away from. I will also be contacting the Better Business Bureau, and both the Oklahoma and Florida State Attorney's General offices to file formal complaints. I"m sure I'll never see a dime of my money back, and clearly from what I've read these guys have no intention of standing by the products they sell. You've been warned, stay clear of Super Smart Electronics of Riverview, FL!
